Favorite Book. Love this story so much

Watchers by Dean Koontz. What a wonderful read. A love story with action and a special smart dog. I loved it. Read this in my 20's. I am almost sixty. Read it again like it was the first time. Will probably read it again when I am seventy. Bravo Dean. Loved it!!!

Watchers undeniably the best. I've read a few Koontz books and I have to say that Watchers was the best. The expertise of the plot and how the events progressed through the book had me reading for hours because I couldn't put it down. I fell in love with Einstein and his special gift. The triumphant relationship of Travis and Nora were moving. Tank you very much Mr. Koontz for this special story. It was greatly entertaining and I look forward to your next novel, even if its not as good. You know what I mean.

Watchers. I read this book in my 20’s; I’m 61 now. That’s how old it is. lol I couldn’t put the book down. I read every chance I could and read it in just a few days; that’s how good it is! I highly recommend it.

This is a good children's book.. But wait, it's from Dean Koontz! He doesn't write children's books! Yes, apparently he does. In a sentence fragment, the book was well written, but was about the most foolish subject matter anyone has ever written about. I liked the book, but if you think this is going to be like Phantoms, you're going to be sorely disappointed. Dean, your wanton obsession with golden retrievers has at last become stupid, instead of just plain annoying.

Watchers in my heart. The love Travis bestowed on Einstein and Nora made me cry. The wordmanship in the writing held me on every sentence. Marvelous read.

Excellent book. "Watchers" was my first Koontz novel, and it hooked me for life. As my children read the hardback tome, I purchased and read this eBook version. The story and words are the same, but the physical formatting is sloppy with some words strung together and the important breaks between segments lost altogether. If only those who ported Watchers to ePub could find it within themselves to exercise a fraction of Dean's attention to detail...

I love Dean Koontz. What a great story! If I said what I think about this book and so many other Koontz novels, it might be considered a spoiler.

Door To Satisfaction. The damsel, the hero, and the cunning canine will have you standing on your chair applauding much like Rocky Balboa landing the final blow to Drago. This was the first book I ever read without being assigned by a teacher. Thousands of stories later and I honestly can't say any one of those is better.

My favorite. My favorite Dean Koontz book! I read this in my 20’s and have read many of his books since then, the publishing date is way before 1987, that must be republishing date because I first read this in the late 70’s.

Likely the most creative tale ever woven ;). Wonderful read. Genuine characters. Great fiction that will push your imagination and leave you with a possibly larger view on our world. Enjoyed every moment.

Watch out for a true masterpiece!. As many others have said, Watchers was my first book by Dean Koontz, and I loved it! A splendid, top-notch story of horror, suspense, science fiction, warmth, romance, sadness, redemption, and beauty! I decided to read this book because I rented a VHS of the film version with Cory Haim, and I really enjoyed the movie. It has nothing on this wonderful book, though! As much as I like the movie, IT’S IN DIRE NEED OF A REMAKE!!! Since reading the book, my number one favorite by the author, I’ve read a total of 31 books by Koontz, including his awesome short story collection, Strange Highways, and the first three stories in the Odd Thomas series: Odd Thomas, Forever Odd, and Brother Odd. I have lots of favorites, but Watchers will probably always be at the top of the list!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wonderful story. This was the first book that I read by Dean Koontz and I loved it. I then started to read the rest of his books. However, this one is still my favorite.

Great book, wonderful story. This is the first book I have read by Mr. Koontz, there certainly will be many more. He did a masterful job with the entire book. I could barely put it down. I loved everything about it, particularly Einstein. As a golden retriever lover I really loved it.

One of my top five favorite books ever. This is a wonderful book. A thriller, yes, but also a great love story and an adventure as well. But mostly it’s a story of great hope. The notion that humankind is capable of great wonders and miracles when we put ourselves to the task. And the promise that man’s best friend could be beside us in a bold future.

Passed-down perfection. I first read this book as a young adult, intrigued by the notion of a chief character being a canine. My mother had, and has, Koontz’ entire collection. I have read many of his works as well. This book is the first that I remember wanting to reread as soon as I finished the last page. This is and will ever be my favorite book.

The Watchers. My parents have been after me to read this book for years!! Well, I've finally finished and all I can think of is having this story told on the big screen. I could visualize each chapter being played out on the big screen!! I enjoyed it immensely!!

Watchers... My favorite book of all time!. I read Watchers for the first time in the early 1990s. When I came across it again on my iPad I immediately downloaded it and read it again. It is a perfect novel. Thank you Mr. Koontz!

Watchers. This novel has given me hope that maybe, someday, humans will be fit to finally earn the right to walk with dogs. 05-MAR-2014 Just finished Watchers for the umpteenth time. Of all the great stories I have read by a lot of great authors, this is my favorite! I am 71 years old and have had dogs all my life, I learned to walk by hanging on a Great Danes collar. My current companion dog is no Einstein, but he is smart enough to put up with me and be my friend. I don't believe that Mr. Koontz will ever top this book. Thank you.

Perfection. The perfect work of fiction I never tire of reading this novel.

Has it all even a love able dog.. Action, suspense, love, redemption and struggle. This could've been two good novels we are fortunate that Koontz winds it all into one intricate masterpiece.

Adore this Book. I admit I first read this because I couldn’t see Corey Haim in the movie. Initially I was disappointed his character isn’t in the book, but I still loved it. I’ve read it 7x

Best I've Read in Memory. No book before this do I recall almost bringing tears at the end. Yes I have enjoy all sorts of novels from the Jack Reacher series to Stephen King, but none quite like this that so touched me as well as keeping me on the edge of my seat throughout.

Not My Usual Fast Pace. At times, there was too much detail regarding scenery and commentary that was not necessary to keep the story going. But I have to still give it a 5. The themes ran deep in this book, and I cried at the end. Very few books have ever had me crying at the end. Well done!

Excellent read.. Relates relationship between men and dogs in a relatable manner.

His best work. I agree with Dean that this my be his finest work and I have read a lot of them. This is the third time I have read this book and know that the love shown in the book is related to his own beautiful golden retriever.

An absolute must read!. This is my 4th time reading this book since first published and is still not only my favorite Dean Koontz book but my favorite book ever! I have never felt so many emotions reading a book and still being on my 4th read could not put down. AMAZING ! I would love to see a movie made (not the one that did come out) but one true to the book. Thank you Dean Koontz for your talent and writing of this thrilling masterpiece.
