The Judas Strain. A great read. Couldn’t put the book down.

Great read. Keeps you on a roller coaster.

Great story. Easily the best of the Sigma Force series that I've read so far.

Strong start, weaker finish. The Judas Strain is not one of the best SIGMA books out there, but the story and characters are the ones we all crave. The heroes with their inner demons, the victims who rise up in strength, and the comic relief, the cruel and despicable bad guys. The ending falls a little short for me. Not horribly so. Just enough to lean more toward the 4-Star level. Do love Kowalski though because he is so much like a few ex-military guys I know.

Great read. Familiar characters, but a new great adventure. Be swept away by the fast paced action and drama, but learn the lesson that humans are not the most powerful force on this planet...it is the planet itself.

Good fun. Like all Rollins stuff - good fun, connections to the real world and great imaginations of science. Always worth the escape. This one was a little less heavy handed in the drama repetition and kept a pretty good clip.

Plot too convoluted and unbelievable..... This is the second novel of James Rollins (or is it Jim Czajkowski) that I've read. In a number of ways the story lines remind me of the Devils and Demons films. And maybe it's just me, but the plot, and their associated cast of characters are even more difficult to follow. At the end, I still wasn't sure if the Guild are the really bad guys, or some of them are the good guys, too. I downloaded the third book in this set, but will put it aside and read it later - perhaps.

Prescient pandemic fiction. Reading this fiction novel in 2021, while we’re in the 2nd year of a global pandemic, has special resonance. Unfortunately, reality is worse than fiction. Still I appreciate the mind candy diversion that is the Sigma Force series, although I find this author’s template so predictable- protagonist is threatened by secret cabal, gets blackmailed by terrorist but can’t tell anyone about it, and is seriously outgunned by said cabal. When reality is that we have all kinds of special forces to take on these situations.

A fun read!. As I plowed through this book I thought to myself this is my favorite sigma series book so far...then I hit the last hundred pages and it seemed to stretch its believability a little bit much for me. Although in the afterward he sates what was based on fact and what was fiction there was a lot more fact here than I thought. I would rate this just below Black Order and just above Sandstorm. I'd give it 3 1/2 if they'd let me.
