Chapter 23 of Sunsetsplash's Destiny! Part 1!. Sunsetsplash woke up, blinking sleep from her eyes, and slipped out of the warrior's den. She stood at the entrance and watched the sleepy camp. It was dawn, and although the sun had barely risen, cats were busy already. Brackenheart was organizing patrols, cats were getting ready to leave camp to hunt or renew scent markers, and the mentors were waking their apprentices to get started for the day. " But it's so early!" Stormpaw complained as he padded out of the apprentice's den, his fur ruffled as he followed his mentor. " The early bird catches the worm, Stormpaw!" Hollythrush meowed cheerfully. The black she-cat seemed happier, now that she had an apprentice, and as she passed by her sister, Flowerhaze, she flicked her ear. " I'm taking Stormpaw out to practice hunting. Do you and Leafpaw want to come?" " Sure," The brown tabby purred. She bounded over to the apprentice's den and called for her apprentice. The little grey-and-white she-cat poked her head out eagerly, her eyes shining. " Are we going out?" She asked. Flowerhaze nodded and led her apprentice over to where Hollythrush and Stormpaw waited. The three she-cats and tom slipped through the gorse tunnel and disappeared into the forest. Sunsetsplash purred with pride and affection. Her kits were growing well. They'd make wonderful warriors. She shook out her fur to smooth it and padded over to Brackenheart. The brown tom was watching his patrols leave camp. " Oh, greetings, Sunsetsplash." Brackenheart dipped his head. " I didn't expect you to be up so early." " Why?" Sunsetsplash titled her head. " I'm back in the warrior's den. Shouldn't I be out on patrols?" Brackenheart hesitated. " Well. . . Sharpstar told me to excuse you from dawn patrols. . . said he didn't want you to over-exert yourself." Sunsetsplash's pelt prickled with annoyance. " Why? It's been nearly a whole half moon since I was attacked, and I'm better now." After she left the medicine den, she was terrified to leave camp, and refused to be on a patrol unless Specklebranch was on it as well. She was better now; her fear only really lasted for a quarter moon. " I know, Sunsetsplash. That's just what Sharpstar told me, and speaking of him," He broke off and looked over his shoulder. The ThunderClan leader was padding over to them, his black fur sleek and shiny and — Sunsetsplash noticed — looking thinner than it should be, despite it being almost Leaf-Bare. " Greetings, Sunsetsplash, Brackenheart," Sharpstar mewed. " Greetings," Sunsetsplash dipped her head at the black tom; in front of her, Brackenheart did the same. " Will you come see me in my den, Sunsetsplash?" Sharpstar flicked his tail towards the Highrock. " Sure," Excitement and anxiety pricked her pelt. What did Sharpstar want? She followed him into his den, where he gestured her to sit. Curled her tail over her paws, she waited for Sharpstar to speak. " You must be wondering why you are here, aren't you?" The leader meowed quietly, his eyes shining. " Doefeather's kits are four moons old now, and I think they'll make great warriors, don't you think?" Sunsetsplash nodded. " Yes, I've seen them playing. They've got skills, for sure. ThunderClan will be stronger when they are older." She purred, thinking of the kits. Sharpstar watched her closely. " Well, in two moons, they will be ready to be apprenticed. I was hoping you would teach one of them." Sunsetsplash stiffened. Her, with an apprentice? " I — Sharpstar — Am I ready?" " I believe so. After all, you've been through so much, in so little time. You've become a warrior, taken and lost a mate, had kits — who are now apprentices — and shown incredible skill and courage, all without having your own apprentice!" His whiskers twitched. " I think it's about time. Will you take your mentor's kits as your apprentice?" Sunsetsplash purred loudly. " Yes! Uh — I mean — I will, Sharpstar," She dipped her head awkwardly. She heard the leader purr. " Good, you may leave now." Sunsetsplash stood up and was just about to push through the ivy curtain when Sharpstar's mew stopped her. " Sunsetsplash, forgive me for saying this, but. . . It's about time to you to move on. Smokecloud can never be replaced, true. But there are many other cats who can give you the same thing Smokecloud can, sadly, no longer give you." Sunsetsplash froze, her head bowed. An image of her mate, Smokecloud, flashed in her mind, and her heart tightened with grief and pain. She took a shaky breath and, as Sharpstar's words sank in, another cat was in her mind's eye. A cat with mottled cream-and-brown fur and warm, bright amber eyes. She turned to look at Sharpstar. " I will, Sharpstar." She breathed. " Don't worry." ~Sunsetsplash~

(Died drowning)Misty: a kind yet fierce she with a gray pelt and brown eyes. (Died being struck by lightning) Mate:White: a kind yet stubborn and caring tom with a white pelt and light brown eyes. Kits:none. Prologue: Brownie cried as her kit was swept away. “Please! Let me keep her I promise you she will give the clan a good deed!” The leader bush, swept his gaze to his warrior also the mate of Brownie. “Well? Shall we kill them or not?” Growl stared into his leaders eyes narrowed with rage. “Why do we have to kill kits?! We need to be stronger! So we should not kill kits at all! Think about all the mothers and fathers! They have to watch as their kits get killed so, no.” Bush hissed but he raised his voice. “Cats we will no longer kill kits.” His gaze shot to growl. “Because we need more cats to get revenge.” The clan murmured agreement. “But Bloodclan will still murder outsiders.” The pregnant queens sighed with relief. “Thank goodness I would not have my precious unborn kits die.” A queen,Gray mewed over the crowd. As the clan scattered back to their nests, Bush stopped Brownie and her half moon old kits. “Amber, Misty, and Fire will soon know what it’s like to have pain.” He growled. Brownie gasped at her leader she knew what that meant. “You mean-“ “yes I do mean it.” And with that Bush walked back to his den. Chapter one: Fire growled as she felt cold wind pierce her pelt like the claws of a badger. She heard the patrol come back she knew Amber and her mother, Brownie were in the patrol along with their fierce leader, Bush. She trotted over with her best friend, Brook at her tail. “How was the hun-“ Her happy gaze turned dark as Fire saw her sister, Ambers limp body. She turned to her mom and Bush. “What happened?” Bush snorted. “It’s raining and her pelts wetter then ours. What do you think happened?” She wailed. “What happened?” “Did someone get hurt?” “Is everyone okay?” “It sounded like Fire!” “What but she’s just a trainee!” “Something like one of her loved ones got hurt probable!” The voices of her clan mates overwhelmed her. “Amber! she’s gone!” She cried as her clan mates faces turned from worry to sympathy and sad faces. “How?!” Her father cried as he pushed his way through the crowd. He stopped short as he saw and from his expression, she knew he knew how. “I’m so so sorry.” Brownie whimpered. “But I am going to become a kittypet.” Growl wailed. “Why?!” He looked suprised as bush spoke up. “Because of… the pain.” He chuckled an evil laugh. Her father gasped and backed away. “No!!!!” The warriors faces turned pale. She had heard that this was a bad thing but didn’t know why. “What’s wrong?” She asked still sad. “Well just get ready for… certain things.” And he skipped away. Misty came up to her. She was lost in her thoughts as Misty was talking. Was it super bad or did he.. push her off the cliff? She shook the thought away. She knew he was cruel but not that cruel! “Hello? Earth to fire?” She snapped out of her thoughts. “Yes?” “Did you here a word I said?” Misty looked annoyed. “No why?” Fire tilted her head as her sister explained the plan. Fire shared an evil glance with her sister as she walked out of the camp. Chapter two: Everyone knew that her whole family was upset that Amber had died, and her mother went off to become a stupid lazy kittypet! She hissed at the thought. Her and Misty and Brook hung around like the bestest of friends which they were. She had laughed every time her crush, white made a hilarious joke. Things were going good soon she became a warrior and one of the most trusted ones and by the time she was deputy, White was her mate! But there was an edge. Misty had died being struck by lightning. Now she was super scared of thunder and lightning. Though so was her father, who was now an elder. She smiled as she curled up next to white and felt his comfy yet fluffy pelt around her and she welcomed sleep to claim her. She was organizing the evening patrol as it was evening when the hunting patrol came back and dropped Bush. She gasped. “What happened?” “Fox!” One of the most trusted warriors which would be her deputy when she became leader, Rain panted. She hissed. “Well let’s lay him out in the center and sit vigil for him then the elders can go bury him.” She murmured sadly. “Yes ma’am.” Rain said laying him in the center of the camp slash ally way. This was it she was leader. Chapter three: She growled as she smelled the rogue scent and as they emerged. “What do you want?” She asked calmly. “We want to take over bloodclan okay,okay.” The glossy black she cat meowed. “No.” And she leaped and her clan mates followed they weren’t outnumbered but they were token by surprised these rogues were strong.She looked at her mate who was being so fierce that he killed the glossy black she cat. She just kicked and clawed at the ginger toms throat killing him. But then probably the leader, lunged at her and they tumbled hissing and clawing and kicking and biting but she had no luck, he killed her. Bye loved the book!

Amazing. I have been reading the warriors series since the 7th grade so when I realized there was fourth series coming I was excited. Even though I have the app and read the timeline the story line still shocked me. I hope there are more than 4 series to come. These books are going to be one of the only that I pass down to my son to read.

Ashfur is Dead!!! XD. It's a funny way how Hollyleaf kills him and then the clan thinks he drowns. Also a lame thing is called out when they find out he had a scar on his throat. They said he drowned and a rock or branch made a claw mark. Very lame. XD XD

Great book almost no problems. Awesome book, warriors fans will gobble this up so quickly! Only 1 problem I found was a text error to do with the clans but will not spoil the story now. Lots of hidden messages about real world problems... All in all great book can't wait for the next one
