Great read!!!. Just finished this book and I LOVED it!!! An absolute must read! But be forewarned... you won't be able to put it down, it's about a dog, and it definitely tugs at the heartstrings. 💖🐶🐾

A Classic. I have read a lot of books and I have never left a review. This book was so good that I couldn't help it. This is the best book I've read in a very long time!

I have never cried reading a book before. For school this book was on my summer reading list. I was going to pick another book, but I’m glad I didn’t. This book was amazing. There is simply no other way to put it.

A story, wonderfully told. I love this book!! I could not put it down, even though I wanted to spend more time with Enzo!! As someone who gives animals more credit for their intelligence, integrity and ability to communicate, than most people do, Enzo is a complete being! He shares his view of the world, his people, and his desires freely with us as he tells the story of his “master” Denny, his friend, his hero. He explains that heroes have flaws, which are important to their story, and proceeds to show Denny’s to us, with their long-term repercussions. Denny meets these challenges head-on, and rises above them with grace despite his agony. If I were an English teacher, I might choose to use this book along side the classics of English or American literature! It is an engaging tale, told brilliantly, using an unusual narrator, with the very versatile, appealing thematic device of car racing which could engage students, and with all the major themes of great literature: man vs God, man vs man, man’s inhumanity to man, good character triumphing over evil, .... Rich! It is a rich story! Beautifully told! I highly recommend it!

I loved the story, and the ending didn’t disappoint.. I really like stories about dogs, man’s best friend. Never much of a race car fanatic, but the lives beyond the wheel were touching in every sense of the imagination! Thank you for your mastery of writing.

Same Concept but the names have been changed. This was a good book. I kept coming back every chance I got but it wasn’t a fresh concept. Marley and Me and A Dog’s Purpose were books from the dog’s point of view.

More Corolla than Ferrari. The most interesting thing about the book was its use of the dog as a narrator. Apart from that the slate of trauma and hardships that fall upon the main human character are predictable and far too melodramatic for my liking. The racing metaphor that emerges through the book as a component holding the book together and the dog's aspirations to be more human and able to communicate are strong points but the plot is a bit too tidy and predictable. About two-thirds of the way through the book it was pretty easy to tell where things were going and it was something to get through rather than savour.

Excellent Read!. I couldn't put this book down from start to finish. The beauty and ugliness of life and human nature is told from the perspective of one who can make you laugh and cry within the same chapter. Highly recommended!

Captivating but brutal book about life's curveball's. This book starts off very sincere and almost too good to be true. However, like life, a good thing never lasts and this poor man's life takes a turn for the worst. I read the last half of this book in one night because I was so tormented by this man's hardships as he works to fulfil his dream. I couldn't put it down, even though it was absolutely torturing me, I had to make sure that his conflicts would be resolved. I would recommend this book if you are looking for an emotional read but not if you want some fluff for the summer months.
