Loved this trip down memory lane. In high school, I mowed a friend's yard every week for an entire summer for an autographed picture of Wil Wheaton in his Wesley Crusher garb. Until this book, I was blissfully unaware that TNG fans hated Wesley so much. I find it so amusing that his memories of these early episodes are such a far cry from my own fangirl nostalgia! His episode synopses alone are enough to warrant your purchase of this book. They are funny, insightful, and spot-on accurate about the inconsistent writing on the first season. I didn't experience any problems with formatting, but I did catch a few typos. I only hope that he follows through with his promise of a second volume, I want to hear his thoughts about the remainder of the season.

Trip down memory lane!. Love the book but it's clear that someone failed to proof read it before it's digital release. Still, it's not unreadable and if you're a fan of TNG then this is a must buy. Would love a book for each season!

Formatting Atrocious. Based on the sample I have read, it looks like someone took the text of this book, threw it at a freeware ePub converter, then released it for sale without ever proofreading it. Sentences trail off into nowhere, or are split into paragraphs in the middle of a thought, dialogue is rendered in bold, then not, etc. If they are seriously going to charge $20 for the privilege of reading this ebook (see... this $10 installment is just HALF of it), then they should at least do us the courtesy of some care in formatting it.

Bad Format. Wil is an amazing writer, but the quality of this ebook stinks, the formatting is terrible. This is based off the sample. Oh, and to whoever thinks this us "half" of the book, it's not. The dead tree version stops at "Datalore" too.

If you like TNG; you'll like this book.. While the humor Wil adds to his stories doesn't always work, as a whole this book was great and should be liked by any fan of TNG.

Extremely entertaining!. I wasn't sure if I'd like Wil Wheaton's take on Star Trek, but this book is hysterical in his ad-libs of the scenes. He has a great sense of humor! I eagerly await the next books in the series.

Snarky Fun. A cast member's POV on the first 1/2 of ST:TNG's 1st season. A must-read!

Writing good, formatting awful. Wil wheaton is an extremely likable writer. His book is severely hampered by the formatting of the book. Totally amateurish and really makes it difficult to enjoy. Wheaton deserves better.
