Nothing worth the time. Honestly, ch.3 is when I started reading it for laughs. No actual conflict though he brings several chances for it. Characters are quite flat, nothing really changes. It seems more like the guys internal fantasy than anything else. It you added actual sex scenes then MAYBE just MAYBE it could have been a nice literodica. As for now it just comes of creepy

It was alright. There was quite a few errors here and there, and the ending was terrible. It was a pretty nice book to read though.

Great book !!!. I have read this book from front to back and it's a very enjoyable read .i read this through the last two days and it was very refreshing I hadn't read a book I a long time and enjoyed it like I did this one . I'm a bit of a nerd so I would mind a robot girl friend. That more be why I enjoyed this book so much. I just want to say thank you for such a great book !!!!!!!!! (:

His Robot Girlfriend. The story was very good. I read all the way through and thought it was interesting. However, most of the writing is abstract (telling verses showing). The descriptions of what the robot was wearing was the most imagery used in the story. An example of being too abstract was when they went to the gym and he tried out three machines, but which machines? What were they like? How did it feel being on the machine? It was a great story but the author is telling and not showing.

Amazing!,. I loved this book and the entire plot! Going to go read the next book right away!!

Good primer to series. Reading it as a stand-alone and compared to the others you can tell it’s a first book early in Wesley’s career. Patience is too perfect, has little agency, and the conflict events are contrived and rushed. There are side characters which are introduced but have little depth here, although some are expanded on in future books.

Loved the concept. Hope you write more.

Awesome book. Loved the book I got real into it when I started reading it

A Breezy Tale of Robot Love. A well written, short novel about a schlumpy widower who finds true love and great sex with a pretty cool robot. Call it a rob-com. Raises some interesting points, especially considering a man in Japan recently applied for a wedding license to marry his sex doll. Hope they're happy.

Weak editing, and oddly random. This book is full of trite and pointless story. While a mildly amusing concept in idea, the execution held little drama, and was little more than an exploration of the robotic girlfriend fantasy. While undoubtedly fun to write as an exercise, the reading of it was less so. My apologies to the author for my harsh criticism, as I genuinely enjoyed his other book Eaglethorope and the Sorceress, which despite its less than refined execution was written with a fun style and enjoyable story.

Ehh. It was readable, but I wouldn't read the sequel.

I enjoyed it. A quick read but thoroughly enjoyable. Enough so that I bought the next in the series.

Just okay. I didn't mind reading this book it made me think of my nerdy brother John I would definitely buy him a robot girlfriend because he needs one just okay for me not my type of book

Build up. But no ending?. I thought this book started very well. You sort of get drawn into the character of Mike Smith. And then as you learn more about his robot companion, you start to wish you had one as well. But I felt the whole book was this ramp up to a giant mind blowing, only to have the book end on a boring note. Too many questions left unanswered. What of the daughter Agnes? Why was she part of the story. And all the talk of robot uprising and foreshadowing. Only to have it end with them getting married in Boston? Did I miss something? I feel as though I read only part 1 of 2. This book as a whole was lots of foreplay with no climax. I still enjoyed it. But was left with reading-blue-balls. And that makes perfect sense.

What an entailing read. The title caught my attention so i picked this book to read as I commute on the bus. It was an easy book to read and kept me interested in wanting to see what happens next. The "surprise" twist in the middle was very clever. I recommend this book especially to nerds like me. I am looking forward to the next in the series. PS

Just plain fun.. Simple story, well told. Kept me thinking about the iDevices I count on in my daily life. I usually want depth, like Stephenson and Vinge, but I confess this was just plain fun to read.

Easy read. If you are looking for a futuristic easy read then this is a good choice.

this book. I friggin love this book I really wish I had my own robot girlfriend to change my life.

Review. The ride was great, but the destination sucked.

Addictive. I don't know what it was that caused me to try out this book however once I started I couldn't stop till I finished it. I have always been a technology buff since day one but this book put a spin on Technology in a way that I haven't read before. This book to me was an electronic drug that I could not escape from. Wesley is keen to the fact that detail is of the up most. He should be congratulated for this fine piece of work. Thank you for putting this book together with hopes of more to come in the future

Not too sure about this one.. I'm an avid reader and I hate putting books down; even when I don't really like them I at least give them a chance to get better along the way. I thought the description of this book sounded interesting and thought it would be a fun read. I couldn't finish it. Generally when I read I go into my own little world and it's difficult to get my attention. I found that I was looking for things to interrupt me while reading this book. I think that the book could have been awesome if the author had taken it in a different direction (at least from what I gathered from the half I managed to read). I wouldn't recommend buying the book but others seem to have enjoyed it so maybe it just wasn't my 'cup of tea'.

His Robot Girlfriend. What a refreshing futuristic look into the real possibilities of AI in our future. Get your HOT popcorn ready for a seriously interesting read. The author makes you imagine the best possibilities afforded everyone who works and saves money for retirement. Personally I want to keep my present husband but also have someone at home with me while he pursues his hobbies and part time work. Not for sex but cooking and cleaning plus various errands. I would be in heaven. KSW

Great read!!!. This is a great, short, book for reading on a road trip or a lazy Saturday. I'm definitely going to check out some of Wesley Allison's other books.

Just gross. No conflict, sometimes would get teased with it just for it to be brushed aside. The main character is always right. The love interest is perfect. This would make more sense if it was erotica but it’s not so it’s even weirder. Got a serious case of born sexy yesterday syndrome. Just awful.

Good enough to read in a night.. This is a bunch of fluff. It's about a man with grown children and a dead wife, and he gets a robot girlfriend. I expected more conflict. The character development is poor, and the vision of the recent future is a little to Back to the Future. It just felt like I was reading some old man's fantasy diary. I don't care to read the second book.

Quick Read. Read this in a couple of hours. Was a little slow getting into and there were places that I expected more to happen - much like Mike - and it didn't. It was a clean read overall, but there were some grammatical errors that were holding me back some to give this a 5 star rating. The use of that instead of than was one of the places. Also, there was a significant lack of commas when there needed to be. It made some sentences lose their focus and hard to understand. I liked the intermingling of things we have now in this story with the Daffodil robots. Definitely gave it a unique edge that maybe this isn't so far off into the future as we think! I'll most likely be reading the sequel!

Cute more-than-just-a-robot story. I really like the story and it flowed quite well, but is one my wife would never had made it through. She cannot handle the level of details that this author uses such as getting up and easy for work details everything from underwear, socks, pants shoes , shirt, shower, shaving, brushing teeth, the details of what he made and ate, etc. But after trying to read an Eaglethorpe story, I can see this level of detail is brief compared to that. Meaning that it is much less even if it is still much more than might be considered necessary when one is telling a rather short story about a few months in the life of a middle school teacher who tragically lost his wife and looks elsewhere for love and companionship. ;)

Mary Sue alert!. We all hate Sues...

Crap. Crap crap crap crap crap I can't say it enough, this is crap

In the future, you will order artificial sex slaves from Amazon. Ridiculous. Isaac Asimov did humanoid robots much better, 50 years ago. It’s an impossible premise (if such “perfect” robots ever arrive, it will be gradually over decades). There would be huge social disruptions as a result of this technology (again, see Isaac Asimov’s I Robot stories). And it’s also a somewhat sick sexual fantasy, without any actual sex scenes! (A woman whose entire personality is devoted to satisfying her owner, with zero opinions of her own.)

A lot of fun. An intriguing take on a classic premise, not a ripping yarn, but a compelling narrative that manages to avoid most of the hollywood tropes of the robot genre. An enjoyable read.

Don't waste your time. There was absolutely no plot..it was like reading a constant facebook status update. "Today they went shopping and spent thousands of dollars on lingerie...the next day they did the same...the next day they did the same..." Makes me think the author has some bizarre fantasies he wants fulfilled. A lot of nondescript sex and clothes buying. Read something else.

His Robot Girlfriend. This book is awesome and recommend for people to read it! I couldn't stop reading this book after I read the first chapter! Really recommend for everyone to read this book!

His robot girlfriend. It was an entertaining sci-fi read. Definitely not heavy reading, however the author told a story that interjected social and technological subjects to get me thinking.

Waste of time!. I really kept waiting for this book to be anything more than it is - just one man expressing his idea of the perfect future. Obviously he thinks the near future involves ordering women online like customized computers. "I'll do anything you want me to, Mike." Seriously? The most interesting part (the imposter robot) took up less than one tenth of the book! On top of being ridiculously brief, it was confusing - if it wasn't supposed to be a real conflict, why include it?! What a waste of time.

His Robot Girlfriend. A fast read, a bit of Cotten candy.

Not very good really.. I was weird how it focused so much on women's fashion but that the author had no clue about women's clothes sizes. If you want to write about shopping for women's clothes, why not do it sometime. Always write about what you know or find out first. Other inconsistencies were distracting making it unbelievable. A few groceries are thousands of dollars. A train ticket is 40 grand. A diamond ring at a boutique is $2000. Needs some editing. I'd say cut half the book out. Mostly the obsession over clothes and shoes. There is no real emotional development between the characters. They aren't dynamic at all.

Big fat meh.. Perfect example of why ebooks need editors, too. No plot or characters to speak of, just an exploration of an idea that's been pretty thoroughly mapped already. Not much to recommend it.

Terrible excuse for a book. This is a poor excuse for a book. The storyline is pointless and there is not actual plot. It is nothing more than a pathetic man's fantasy. There is no insight, no characters with personality and certainly there is nothing interesting about the writing style. 90% of the book describes the main character doing mundane things that never lead to an actual plot. It's a pointless read, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Interesting and Weird. A strange read. Very similar to the book I'm writing. I think that Mike should've been a little younger than 50 years old, maybe he should've been 25 years old instead. The grammar was strange at points. This was a disappointing read.

Not too shabby. It was a decent book. The last 1/4 (so would it be 4/4?) of the book didn't really hold my attention as did the rest of the book up to that point. I thought it would have had a little bit more drama or action or adventure. Romance part of it was expected. And the ending was predictable but it's pretty obvious because of the story itself. It's a good read. Would say if you liked the movie Wall-E then you will like this. With that said, not too shabby. And I will be reading the next book.

Awesome!. Great read!

Boring. I can't really complain because it was free but nothing eventful happened.

Save your time. So many good ways this story could have gone and the author picked none of them. I didn't think you could make sex boring, but he managed to. The only science fiction was the basic premise and the rest felt like filler. By the end I was speed reading hoping seething good would come of it, but ...

Great. I love this book & it's sequel, please do more & make em longer

I binged and LOVED IT!. I binged this entire series and it was absolutely wonderful, the first book where Mike gets his new robot Patience and she essentially is customized to his liking and she gets him sorted out, the first book sets up the story for the next few books.

It has no plot!!. Guy buys beautiful robot to be his companion. She arrives. The rest of the book is about their daily activities. That's it! It's not even erotica. It's a book with absolutely no plot. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 only because the writing is acceptable. Thank god it was a free book.

Not fully realized. An okay scifi short, but there was one flaw that took me right out of the story. In this future, lunch for one at McDonalds costs $18, a cross country train trip costs $40 grand, but a hydrogen fuel cell powered, artificially intelligent, robot servant/sex partner only runs you a little over $2,700? Sorry, but that borders on the absurd. Authors should really think major details like this through. Glad I didn't pay anything for this.

Robot girlfriend. Very interesting. Pretty sci fi ish.

Bizarre read. Here's the reason this was a bizarre read - the author truly did have some interesting plot points, but they were few and far between and entangled in the character's constant obsession with clothing shopping and ridiculous sexual content. Of course, not all of the sexual content was pointless (we are reading a book about a guy and his lady robot - we want to know what's up) and nothing was explicit, but I found the sexual scenes to be seemingly written by a 15-year-old hormonal boy and they made me laugh out loud a few times. And seriously, half of this book is about the dude and his robot buying clothes. It's constant with the shopping. I finished the book, and if you're looking for a free, hokey, easy read check it out. I won't be reading anymore from this series.

Built up to nothing!. I stuck with the story in the hope that it would lead to something interesting but it came to a sudden end! This is more life a fly on the wall look at someone's life than a gripping story. Not well written but quite interesting (when under the impression that something good will happen). Fortunately this book is free, I'd have been quite upset if I'd paid for it!

6 out of 10, could do better...... A good short story that draws you in. It has interesting views on future living but does lose its way. The end appears very quickly and appears rushed and ultimately disappoints because of this. Worthy of the author to continue the story in another book and explore all the concept more fully. A good effort but not quite there.

His robot girlfriend. Very good book extremely interesting with a great ending

A star. First I downloaded a book just to read in the gym to make the time go faster while I was on the bike but when I started reading this I couldn't put it down! I couldn't wait to get home to finish it. 24 hours and was read :)

His robot girlfriend. Didnt really go any where. When it started to pick up it failed to create the urgency the plot required for more excitement.

Great. Couldn't put down, so I've bought the sequel!

Good read. I enjoyed this book, good characters and a well thought out story

His Robot Girlfriend. Was a bit unsure when downloading this one, but glad I did. Entertaining from beginning to end. Excellent writing that keeps your attention throughout A very good read. Will certainly be downloading the next book. The Robot Wife. Must check on other books by this author.

His Robot Girlfriend. I thought that this was a good read, although i felt that a few of the plotlines could have been expaneded upon and made a bit more gripping.

Good book. Good

Is that it?. Boring and uneventful. Not even worth 49p. The end left me thinking, 'is that it?'

BRILLIANT. Best book I've ever read don't listen to the grumpy people who gave it 1 star BECAUSE THEY ARE WRONG BEST BOOK EVER BY FFFFFAAAAAAAARRRRR!!!!!

Great read. A great book on an interesting topic. I enjoyed the style and the pace of the book. Reminded me a bit of early Phillip K Dick stuff.

Amazing. I just spent 10 hours straight reading it and around page 420/650 ish (the print size I was reading it in) it started to repeat itself but apart from that it was awesome and had a good ending and I can't wait to read the newer book about his wife

Amazing!. Absolutley wonderful book I couldn't put it down! Your family must be proud just bought the sequel and cannot wait to read it keep up the absolutley amazing work! :)

.. I really enjoyed reading this book. Some grammatical errors and the ending was somewhat a 'let down' however very entertaining. I cannot wait until the next book!

Enjoyable short story. Nothing brilliant but still an entertaining read.

His Robot Girlfriend (Amazing). Im younger than all of you i guess but this book is amazing! I cant wait to read more books my this author!

His robot girlfriend. Amazing, captivating and quite unexpected in a very predictable but special way. I will ready this again and sure I will get more from the second read. I recommend this book highly

Totally captivating. I was browsing the free books on iTunes one evening and stumbled across this and had a closer look, purely because of the high ratings. Needless to say I began to read it straight away and was finished by the morning after, I just couldn't put it down. I didn't want the story to end, so I was thrilled to find that there's to be a follow up. I will definitely be reading that too. One of the best books I've read this year, can't recommend this enough.

Mr T. I thought it was a very good book although at times things seemed to speed up without explaining what's happening between times, the ending could have been a little better , unless your planning on making another book continuing the story.

B- Could do better. Readable but weak. More of a diary than a novel. There are tiny bits of drama that lull you into thinking that there might actually be a plot developing. Sadly not. The characters are interesting but just do not grow. Go out and read some Isaac Asimov if you want touching thought provoking stories about what life with intelligent robots night like.

Simplistic. I found it too difficult to continue with this book. If the descriptions of what was being worn and what was being eaten had been omitted, then it would have been a 'short story' - which of course it is. Did shoot to the end to find the outcome - limp. Don't think I'll be reading this guy's stuff again.

Unusual and made me want to read more.. This is the first e-book type I've read. Very impressed. Just the right length for an IPod screen. I will seek out more of this authors work.

Enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, the characters are likeable and I found myself wanting to read on as I desperately wanted it work out for them. A definite "feel good" story, I want a Daffodil!

Limited twaddle. Thank goodness it ended up being 200 odd pages, still I had to skip the numerous juvenile fantasy descriptions of what the robot wore. Save yourself and don't bother.

Ok but thought it be better. I found myself skipping pages

What a load of nonsense. Skims over the surface of any potential story line. Lacks depth.

One of best free books I've read. Beautifully written and a touching storyline. Would highly recommend this to anyone who likes a good story. I hope that there is a sequel to this soon :)

Brilliant. I really enjoyed this book and for free you can't ask for any more well worth a read

His robot girlfriend. By Wesley Allison I have to say amazing. I loved it. A touch of the golden age of Sci-Fi so missing today. Made me want to be him and experience what he did. Bliss is a woman who looks after you and clears up whilst you sleep. Hmmmmm. Awesome.

Disappointing. The book was on a good track then literally just ended. All seems quite pointless now. Waste of time reading. Could of been brilliant. Was actually a let down.

Good story line, easy to read, would have liked more about the robot imposter!. Good story!

Awful!. I really fail to understand why everyone else enjoyed this book, it really is awful. There is no apparent (or interesting) storyline, none of the plot ideas are developed and it is overall a very boring read.

Fun read!. Good, amusing, short story. Fell a little flat at end.

Excellent storyline. Read it from the beginning till the end in one shot! Great book!

Good book needed better ending. I enjoyed this book but could have a better ending would have made a fantastic horror story or have a dramatic twist at the end so was really let down by it being romantic to author re write a different ending!!

Easy read. Really easy book to read and the story line is exceptionally easy to follow. The only downfall I thought was the ending as it just seemed to end and left me feeling like "was that it?" Only took me three nights to complete.

A nice book. A charming story, the characters developed well and were engaging. Well done

Chuck44. Stumbled on this book by accident... Glad I did, brilliant book, couldn't put it down.

A Robotic Treat.. Punchy, original and heart-warming, 'His Robot Girlfriend' was a short but sweet adventure for me. With plenty of twists and turns, juicy scenes and rich technological descriptions, this novel was perfect for my long train journey and didn't disappoint! Read this if you enjoy classic romance stories with a bit of a scientific twist. It won't let you down.

Robot fun. A good read, tempted to pay for the sequel!

Constuctive criticism. A very good book but not enuf detail try to be more descriptive if I hade handed it to my English teacher I'd get good mark for plot good vocabulary but bad for description if u add more detail like what house was like or what his recliner was made of ( lether or matirial) what colour it was how bright the lamps are what the kitchin was like was the house 2/3 stories high litle things like that would make it better

His robot girlfriend. Not a bad storyline well written and engaging. I want to read more. We have seen these stories before on this topic, however, it's very well put together is not boring and flows well. I rate this book read it ..

Excellent!. I just got the sequel and can't wait to read it.. I really enjoyed the story, well written and an awesome idea. Xx

Really nice story. I thought this was a really good story, not too long and boring like others I have read recently. It was a pretty nice read, but I wish it could have been just a little longer as I was just starting to really enjoy it. It was free, so can't complain.

Easy read. Sci fytastic futuristic male fantasy love story

LOVE IT. Omg I LOVE this book it was such a good read! I don't normally like reading but I never wanted to put this book down!

Not good. Didn't like it. Such in depth detail about clothes, very specific every time. Started off great with hints of something that could've been a bit sinister and thrilling but ended up just a very very boring story about nothing.

Ok read. Was not bad but needed a bit more of a story line.

Get it!!. This is an awesome book. Can't w8t to get a daffodil =].

Interesting. A thought-provoking story about where robots/artificial life could be heading in the future. Easy to read, and, though it glosses over certain areas, makes for an enjoyable tale.

No depth. This was a book obviously written by an amateur. There is no complexity or depth to the story, with a series of simple events simply happening one after the other with no really strong main thread to give them a good flow. I only read the whole book because I wanted to see how it would end - there is no twist, no highlight, no climax. Just another sequential happening that follows dully after the previous one.

You wouldn't know the author was a teacher. I wonder if the proof reader, or editor, were in on this one? Having a smooth reading experience disturbingly broken into by glaring mistakes, was slightly off-putting. Seeing ''gate'' for ''gait'', and ''naval for ''navel'', were bad enough. Then we had ''eat off of'' instead of ''eat from''. Wince wince. Even so, it was a mildly entertaining, if adolescent, tale. Nothing big in the originality charts, however it had a certain charm. I would certainly say that whatever else, it shows some promise. It doesn't really go anywhere, and an awful lot of time is wasted on ''what we wore'', and ''what we ate''. Yawn. There were small flashes of good ideas - a little wheat amongst the chaff. I would read another from this author, in hopes that it would be vastly better. If it wasn't, then I wouldn't bother again.

Green-t. A wonderfully writen book, that bring together many elements that lead to a great read I recommend this to anybody who enjoys a bit of robot romance :-)

Simply brilliant. This story, although not to far into our future, gives me hope of a more enjoyable life. I want to order my daffodil today. There are some great placements of today's references and future Inventions at times very funny. I did find it difficult to put this book down and waited for the downside that never happened. I would love to hear more about there lives as mike gets older. A great story that is set in the future but very believable. Andrew

Blah . I kept reading, hoping it would evolve or twist or do something but it didn't, not one I would rave about but an interesting concept.

Erect. I got sooo many erections while reading this book

His Robot Girlfriend. I agree with other reviewers that I was waiting for a surprise or twist but it ended up just being like reading someone's diary. However the concept is a very interesting one and I like the attention to detail. Even though I realised towards the end it was going nowhere, I still wanted to finish it. A good read.

Interesting read. An enjoyable read, one for a train or bus ride. It explores the concept/possibility of future relationships between humans and robots and the sad truth that love in it's perfect form is not real at all. Great idea, but execution could be better.

Fluff. A short "fluffy" novel - something you could read at the beach in about 30 minutes. It doesn't exactly place a high value on women; the message is that a robot is every bit as good as a real person. A middle-aged man who orders a 20-year-old robot to connect with emotionally ...as light as a read as it was, I found it really depressing.

Fantastic!. Very enjoyable book. Loved it!

His robot girlfriend. Read the whole book and I have yo say it is the most ridiculous thing I ever read.

His Robot Girlfriend. Perhaps the Most enjoyable fantastic sci book I've ever written - and the author has done marketing genius by giving it away so we learn how great his writing is. Can't wait to buy the sequel! Thank you.

A western Chobits without the plot. This story had me hooked only by the limitless possibilities and plot twists that it could have had. Unfortunately it takes a narrow path down the driest, most boring narrative to an uninteresting end. Where is the conflict? Any hint of complex issues is quickly swept away. Character development is minimal and does not really add much to the story.

Easy read. An easy book to read but there is no plot. I kept waiting for something to happen. In saying that the ideas are good and would have loved for it to be written by someone else. It did get my imagination working and I'd like to design and own a daffodil.

It was good. The book was interesting and I liked how there relationship grew and all that but I felt like the book didn't get any better. It was always mikes day and buying new things. The only exciting things ended quickly. It was quite repetitive. I suggest you try it but it's not for everyone.

Good read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The train ride was a bit log winded with too much sightseeing, but otherwise a good read.

Amazing. This book is amazing when I think about the word amazing comes to mind I'm probably going to reread this book. Keep up the good work

Ok book. It was and ok book ... It lacked climaxes and all they ever did was talk about what they were eating

Great Book. This is a must read . It made me feel not so alone . Knowing that maybe someday there could be a Patients for me. If not in this lifetime ....perhaps in the next. I have to buy the next book soon , cant wait . And on a side note , this is the very forst book i have ever read, glad i bought it : )

Dissapointed. This book was well written but lacks in the story. There is only one exciting part in the whole book, and it only lasts a couple of pages then is lead to disappointment. Trust me, it is not worth the read if you are wanting excitement. Good for falling asleep to.

Not Sure I Got The Point. Unless I missed something this is just a sex fantasy of a 50 year old that wants "the perfect" woman. Where perfect is defined as a sexy, nymphomaniac, gourmet chief, that keeps a perfect house and is loved by all....oh, and brings in money on the side from eBay.

good book. This book was quite pleasing, great plot, good decryption, really wired twists. The only reason this book didn't get a 5 star was because the plot was to predictable and the ending was just plain and simple. Great book to read through.

Omg it's amazing. This is such a good book, and somewhat arousing

I love this book. I love this book. Hope there's a continuation to this book.

Do not waste your time. Ugh I wish I had headed the reviews warning me about His Robot Girlfriend before deciding to read this "book". It's definitely not worth however long it will take you to get through it. There are two interesting parts and they both last 2 pages each and the author didn't capitalize on either to take the story further. Please do not make my mistake.

Disappointing. Decent writing. Cute idea. Horrible pacing. 90% of the book is detailing what she is wearing and feeding him. The potentially meaty parts are short and not really developed. No depth.

Vapid. The premise of the book initially catches the imagination, but the lack of authentic characters, a plot that felt contrived and an irritatingly repetitious descriptive narration meant that 'His Robot Girlfriend' failed to deliver. A light, vapid read that passes time more quickly than playing Tetris, but is not a rewarding experience.

Nice story. This is a nice story especially since it's free. A few spelling problems around the last chapter but nothing too bad. It is a good read to just relax with.

Good book - horrible ending. I was so exited to read the last little bit. Then I read the ending n

Mediocre. The idea is great and it caught my attention without any doubt. But that's it. The story is boring. I kept reading in vain desperatly waiting for some story twist. It's just flat. Waste of time.

Alternate title.... .... could easily have been "His Robot Slave". Really found myself rooting against the protagonist in this story. The author could have spent far less time describing the various ways the robot tended to the owner (which reads like something out of a 15-year-old boy's fantasy) and delved much deeper into a few of the interesting social issues that he finally touched on nearer to the end of the book.

Badly written book. the book was a lame sexual fantasy of an older man. Towards the end of the story there were many errors (spelling and otherwise)

Good read. It was a good read and it quite enjoyed it. The ending was a bit blah and left me wanting another chapter. Overall it was great.

Quite engaging .... Not a bad read, the story seemed to always be on the verge of something happening ... but didn't quite happen. Not too fond of the ending but it did keep me engaged as I said. Would definitely read more by this author!

Me gusta!. I loved this book! It was fun and cute even though it wasn't long! I can't wait to read the next book!

I wish I was a robot!. So I could erase this book from my memory... It had potential but never hit anywhere close to it, the personal anticipation of a cohesive story and any kind of viable climax was the most interesting part of the reading process but alas, much like the 'plot', it went nowhere. I'm not being harsh for harsh's sake but it wasn't very well written and read like a penthouse forum article written by a poor liar. More time spent on the plot and climax and less time describing what she's wearing please.

So written by a man.. Soooo written by a guy. I know I shouldn't complain since it was free, but it's pretty insulting to women in general. Sorry.

Don't bother. This story had such potential but went nowhere. There are pages and pages of descriptions of life's most mundane activities but nothing ever really happens. There are a few suspenseful moments but they all fizzle out. Great idea, bad execution.

a great plot, slightly bland delivery. I thoroughly enjoyed the story. The characters developed well throughout the book, however some key expositional elements seemed to be thrown in rapidly to add more content. (the third Childs whole life story thrown into about 8 pages for example). Ideas could have been drawn out and enhanced with more details (would have loved it if he had checked his accounts, confirming that he did trust patience). Overall an enjoyable story. Looking forward to the sequel.

Not the best. There is really no twist nor breaking point in this story. The concept is really interesting but poorly developed. It was not explored in depth and the author could've done better. If you have nothing else to read, just get the sample and see if you can get into the story.

Great book. Enjoyed the book wish it was longer. Keep me coming back

His Robot Girlfriend. One star only because negative stars not available. Complete utter drivel. The author appears to have gotten his material from Victorian era "anonymous " porn and then dumbed it down. Not worth downloading.

His Robot Girlfriend. This book was very good, it was a nice easy read that kept me interested until the end. I will definitely be reading the next book to this; His Robot Wife.

Awesome. Can't wait for the sequel.

Great. Great book with a nice development, but a bigger plot is needed

Short Read. A short story that has a good deal more potential than the authour realized in this version. It could be expanded into something more substantial. The story is the seed of a good book. I enjoyed the writing style and structure and found it very easy to read straight through.

Good quick read but could be better. Enjoyed the story, but a few things made it not quite as professional as it could be. Story stayed very superficial, with nothing developing from some very promising story lines. This includes the family history and the robot's "choice" to be loyal to Mike. Mike's reactions to events are not believable at all. The ending was really disappointing!

Very hard book to rate. This book had so much potential. I am having such a hard time deciding between a three and a four star rating. As most others have already pointed out, there is no substance to the plot. It glances over some fantastic issues that are solved or ignored with no explanation or depth. Yet the book is hard to put down. The concept and potential are fascinating but the author does nothing more with either than he has to in order to fill pages... yet he somehow does this with a flair for imagery that almost makes up for it. It was like visiting a beautiful model home that you know will never have a real family move in to give it life. A nice half day visit to a fantasy with no pressure to get involved. Do I recommend this book? Yes. Especially if you like the concept of a female robot pinochio story and don't want to get any deeper than a nice lazy afternoon read. I will most likely read this again. And I just gave it the four :-)

Not bad. Over all the book was okay. The premise was well thought out. But there weren't enough highs and lows with plot twists. A very one toned book. The end was rather anti climactic. But a enjoyable read never the less.

Pretty good book, but.... The end was too sudden.

Well done. Very well done. From beginning to end, I got surprised again and again. Now, I want a robot for myself.

Simple. I downloaded this and read it within a couple of days and loved it. It's a simple story about the life of an old man and his robot. Very little goes wrong and you watch their relationship grow. Definitely a good read to pass time and enjoy n

Unpolished but a great read. This story is very enjoyable. The main characters were endearing. I was boggled by the numbers in the book - the robot was only $2700 but a luxury train ride was $40,000. There were also enough wording, spelling and other errors to be distracting. Overall definitely worth reading. It's short and sweet. And it's free.

It's aiight. I'm in middle school so I can't really say about the plot n whatnot over all a pretty good book but the ending is really crappy

Disappointing. This book was a complete and utter waste of time. When I first got it, I assumed from the title it would be a very interesting book possibly ending in an action packed twist like other sci-fi robotic stories (I-robot). Boy was I wrong. Filled with poor character development, boring and routine-like description-this book consistently put me to sleep. It sorely was in need of some action and the only time it had even a poor excuse for such, the instance in the book was loosely explained away, not to mention poorly timed. Please don't even get me started on the constant sexual activities this fifty year old pursued- that only left me feeling nauseous. I can't speak for everyone obviously when saying this but speaking from the perspective of this disappointed reader I'd say this book was a total yawn and rating it with even a single star is quite generous.

His Robot Girlfriend. Interesting time concept of the future and a little slow in the beginning but a good read if futuristic time is an interest.

Awsome. A great book would recommend this to all of my friends!

Not bad for the price. The book wasn't bad, but it wasn't that good. There were actually quite a few spelling errors and a remarkable amount of errors at one point in the book. The story was enjoyable but I must say it was quite pointless. Nothing happened, no climax, barely any conflict and a really boring ending. It really almost seems unfinished. But still worth a read if you're into this sort of thing.

Emotional. I started this book on vacation. I didnt hace much expectations but i ended up liking the book very much. The characters are lovable and i started caring about them in the book( only happened to me a few times i.e. Dumbledore) Its a cute and intersting book. The plot aint great ( if there is any) but the story is uplifting and will put a smile on your face, making you wish more than one time about having a robot girlfriend ... :p Definetly a download... Its free! Enjoy !

Lightweight and enjoyable. The setting and elements are fascinating. The story is blunt and short with delightful events. Plot is simple and climax is almost unnoticeable either because of the lack of emphasis or magnitude. After the main plot, I thought that there would be an even bigger event because the first one ended so quickly, but there was none and the story just ended.

Such a cute story. Quick read, fun story, probably not going to win a prize - but hey - the price is right and the read is fun. What more do you want. I enjoyed it.

Robot. Good book but wished the ending was a bit different it seemed to just end suddenly!

Really enjoyed it. I thought this was a great book. It was a little short (I would have liked it to continue) but it ended well and had a pretty good message. Maybe a little bit of real life foreshadowing too. Brilliant book. Awesome price. Definite read!

Average~good. Quite an interesting topic and realistic in most part; however, it starts to get quite boring toward the second-half to the end of the book. I had the impression that the author had no interest to finish the book (or maybe no more new ideas?)...could be better!
