Falls way short. There are quite a few books that include much better information on wiring guitars; The Guitar Handbook by Ralph Denyer is an excellent example. Not a lot of them are available yet from the Apple bookstore as of today June 28, 2010, but will become available as more and more titles are added. $10 is a high price for this very limited ebook. Much better wiring tips and diagrams for many different electric guitar types are available by simply searching on Google.

Great Ideas even for pros!. I disagree with other reviewer, Maybe there are beter maybe not but I have gonethrough this book and as a luthier, I have mainly used it for ideas. I like the fact its simple and the drawings are easy to understand. I never studied electronics so I can not read a schematic. Take a 5 or 6 way rotary switch. It's wired exactly opposite the way a blade switch is wired. Tim takes a sincle page per wire so its simple for everyone to understand. Sure there are books that are deeper. That doesn't make this book a loser and I will tell you something else, even for the guy (or gal) who is going to build a guitar one time, Everything they would need for guitar wiring is in here and then some and 20 bucks would be cheap for them. Give him a break. Critics are ok but some times I think people want to be critical just to make themselves feel superior. I am sure it took a long time to put this together and I;ll tell you something else, I cant be the only person liking it because I downloaded myu version way back before there were any I anything. and they are still out there. Good job! and thanks. Got lots of good ideas from here. My main gift has always been wood and some electronic ideas have really helped.
