If you grew up listening to Aerosmith then...... Great book. Loved being inside the head of ST...even if it is a scary, twisted and tortured journey. I came away from the book feeling a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for what he and Aerosmith have given to the world of Rock n Roll. The music he has left behind for the generations is priceless. I would recommend doning a pair of headphones and listening to Aerosmith whilst reading this book....kinda puts the entire journey in musical perspective !!!

Train keeps rollin. Steven Tyler writes exactly the way he talks....loved it! I so enjoyed learning what his influences were growing up, who influenced his music, what he listened to, about his boyhood, etc. Very refreshing to hear it all....wArts and all, from his point of view. I grew up loving Aerosmith, still do, and so appreciated learning avout them and him. Love him, love seeing him succeed...hope he continues to write and sharer insights into the world, etc. He's lived a Loy of life that most never will. Would be awesome to hear more musings, insights, inspirations and wisdoms inside and outside of the biz. Thank you!

This Book Screams "READ ME!". I have been a Aerosmith fan since the late 70's. So this book was an obvious must read for myself. Upon reading it, I discovered it is a must read for everyone who knows who Steven Tyler is. It is a very well told story of his life as only a song writer can tell it. I enjoyed this book and you will too. Worth the money spent and the time it took to read it. Enjoy.

Fabulous. Wow. Many books do not make me laugh out loud. This one did. Not only did it bring nostalgia but I've loved the band for years. His analogies are hilarious. You will not be disappointed.

Does The Noise In My Head Bother You?. Very raw, honest, heartbreaking and at times even hillarious! Thank you Steven Tyler for letting us in.

Honest. This book captured me and I was hooked after the intro. I'm not an Aerosmith junkie and chose this book for a school assignment, but am still enveloped in these words. Great way to express the content.

Very disappointed.. I have been a HUGE fan of Aerosmith for MANY years. And I have all their CD's and have seen them countless times in concert. So to say I am a fan is an understatement. I have read 100's of books. And this was by far one of the worst books I have ever read. I had to force myself to finish this. This was poorly written and poorly organized. Thank goodness Tyler redeemed himself while I was reading it when he sang on the finale of American Idol. He brought me back in with his sexy self!!!!

Does the noise in my head bother you?. Extremely raunchy but interesting. Hard to follow at times. Tyler writes like he talks. But he is an interesting soul.

Interesting. Steven Tyler has quite a past.

For Hard Core Fans Only. I wish I could take credit for the following but reading this book is a lot like being stuck in a conversation with an obnoxious drunk. Skip it and read ‘Walk This Way.’

Drugs, sex, cursing - repeatedly. I love Tyler's singing: he's on key and he never misses a beat. However, every other comment in the book is either f--- this or that, about the benefits of drugs, or a detailed sex word/ act. Literally every other comment. You can't ignore it because it is literally everywhere. My opinion of him as an author ... one star. That is because I still like his music.

What a roller coaster!. What a roller coaster of emotions did I feel reading this book. My heart broke for Steve at times, while other times my emphatic nature for the other cast of characters made my heart bleed. I could not put the book down as I always wanted to read where the drug use ended and Steve's life began. Nothing like a great book with a happy ending. God bless you in al of your future pursuits Steve! Thanks for sharing you past, present and future with the world....

Does the noise in my head bother you?. Steven Tyler's vocabulary is astounding!! His gift of rhyme is unmatched!! I've never been into music, but Sweet Emotion has been my favorite song forever! now I know who sings it. This book is an awesome read and I'll be quoting Steven for a while! I totally recommend this book!!!!

Music in my head. Not sure what I expected , but it is actually sad that someone spent 3/4 of their life high. While he might have been the lead singer of aerosmith, it is a sad story. He has a brilliant mind, but life was all about him. Had to scan through it as the tales of sex and drugs were just too much to continuously read about

Steven Tyler book.. I have been a huge fan of Aerosmith for over 30 years. I love Steven Tyler's voice and his whole attitude on life is just hilarious. He's made his mistakes in like, like all of us have, but he owns it and goes o. Still believing I love and change and the future, however long one has. As I read his book, "Is the noise in my head bothering you?" I could imagine sitting in living room with him, talking about how Aerosmith made it. He writes just like he talks. Wide open! As a fan, it was fun to read and learn how my favorite songs were born. Thank you to all of the band members for great stories and the finding each other! A forever fan, Kim T. Pinehurst, N.C.

Explains it all.... Who doesn't love ST and Aerosmith, so I bought it to answer WHY? His book offers all the answers and some you just didn't want to know. Looking over the rock star glam and many addictions in his life, it was moving to read how much he loved his children and the mothers of them. If your a fan, you must give this book a chance......but with a warning...

Amusing but not surprising. The foreword to "Does the Noise..." is, sorry to say, b-o-r-I-n-g -- Tyler's editors should have done what they're paid to. Nonetheless, once Steven finds his rhythm he tells great stories in a candid and forthright fashion. Any fan of rock 'n roll debauchery will appreciate this book. It is a not unfamiliar story of great success leading to great excess and Tyler provides a front row seat.

Great Read!. Being an avid Aerosmith fan I found this book awesome. I read the Walk This Way biography of the band, but this is even better. A little random at times but it all ties together in the end.

I found myself pulled in, and I'm not surprised. Love the unique yet familiar voice this book has. I found it impossible not to relate to some of the stories and references, which made it all that much more enjoyable. Even if you can't relate to the city/country boy upbringing, acid twisted laughs, the rock, or the roll. You'll probably find yourself sucked in by the wild and lovable attitude of Steven Tyler. It has a genuine feel that let's you know he worked hard on this book, and also had a lot of fun digging in his memory. I know I did!

All over the place. I enjoyed the book! Crazy stuff ! I have always liked Steven Tyler! It was fascinating being in his head! He is an extremely smart savvy man! Love him on American Idol! He has great insight into talent!

Ginger Tyler. Love....love....loved it!

Loved it!. Extremely interesting and very honest. I loved it.

Does the Noise in my Head Bother You ?. Wonderfully written, so raw and a page turner. Thank you Mr. Tyler for an experience of a lifetime in your life !

Great read. Just like Tyler, jumping around but amazing look at the greatest lead of all time. Don't miss this one.

Less of a fan for reading. I have been a huge Aerosmith fan for twenty years now. I couldn't wait to read this book. I was left disappointed and less of a fan. Tyler is all over the place in this one. He jumps from past to present, skims over major things and skips over major things all together (finding out liv was his daughter). He tries to be a character with his one liner and sayings, but it gets old quick. Not much about the band, bit the little he does give makes me feel like it was more about the $$$ then the fans. Skip this read and just put on Toys in the Attic.

Disappointing. I wanted to like this book. I really did. Unfortunately, it never quite happened. The first 400 pages read like a pharmacy manual. Even after reading the entire book, I am not sure if Tyler has a sense of shame about some of his behavior, or if he see's it as a rock n roll badge of honor. The Mustaine and Hagar books are far superior reads.

From the horses mouth..... When I was 10 or so an Aerosmith concert played on repeat all night long on channel 3 or something like that. ever since I have been a fan of Steven Tyler. His quirky ways and outrageous stage presence awed me. Little did I know this crazy whirlwind showboating could be brought to writing. ADD story lines never read so well. I like that Tyler wrote nothing but the rambles of his mind, it made me feel like I was hearing his life from the horses mouth, not straight from the editors ballpoint.

Review. Good book

Awesome. I loved his honesty in this book. I could feel everything as he wrote it. Great artist who I have loved for many years. My God continue to watch over you.

Great book. Entertaining book.......overlook the vast profanity and you have a pretty funny story!

dreamed on. this book was a look into the real life of a rock star.... steven talarico stayed true to that title his entire life, through drugs and the music . he is truly magnificient!!! i hope he stays clean for the rest of his life and spends more time with his kids and grandchildren.... but i also hope he keeps singing with aerosmith till death do him part.....

DOES THE MOISE IN MY HEAD BOTHER YOU?. A fascinating chronicle of a life lived simultaneously full and empty for anyone who's adult DNA contains Aerosmith genes simply from exposure during youth. Loved it!!

Does the Noise in My Head Bother You.. While I have utmost respect for Steven Tyler's talents, experience and life, I must warn parents that this book is not for children nor teenagers. While the material matter is very real, and at times enlightening, it is not presented in an appropriate way for readers of any age. The material could have easily been presented without all the "F" words nor the details of Mr. Tyler's sexual experiences. Mr. Tyler should have respected the readers for their ability to use their imagination (as he is so proud to have). Mr. Tyler could have easily used his book as an instrument for teaching young people how to be an artist and entertainer while staying away from the sex and drugs. Instead he presented it in a way that educated them on how to not only get the drugs but also how to use the drugs. In the sections about his rehab he did a nice job of warning the readers about prescription drugs and what a "merry-go-round" the doctors can put you on. The editors of this book should consider a censored version of this book for Mr. Tyler's fans who don't need nor want to get the "nitty-gritty" details but would love to understand his experiences. Thank you Mr. Tyler for all your musical brilliance! Please don't go about the rest of your life thinking your choice of words are as brilliant.

Superb!. A fantastic read that gets better and better. I found myself lost in the 70's in high school skipping school smokin weed with the boys in my basement- ROCKIN to the best band of that era-AEROSMITH! Filled with photos and articulated in Steven slang (what a MEMORY for such a fry brain!) I truly enjoyed this book.

Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?. Excellent, honest, open, revealing. Loved that he tells the good, bad, and the ugly. Brought new life to Idol. Good luck Steven.

Hmmmm. At a $1.99 who can complain.

Does the noise in my head bother you?. Great book, couldn't put it down, seriously. Honest, funny and smart. S Tyler takes you back in time musically and we walk with him through his very interesting life. Great insight to human nature.

Steven.... Pure honesty. Loved the book. I applaud you for being so open and honest this book can and will relate to so many people. EXCELLENT!!!!

Rock n Roll, real life. Lots of fun, lots of laughs. Thank you for letting us see inside your life , crazy stuff!!

Good story, annoying writing. Underneath Tyler's often annoying writing style is a deep and fascinating story behind the frontman of one of Rock's iconic bands. I honestly thought of putting the book away several times with Tyler's annoyingly rhyming rants and his seemingly ADD storytelling style. However, push through that and you have a really fascinating and honest biography. I recommend

All Heart. I have no idea what it means to be a rock star but Steven Tyler gives me a grand picture. He tells us of the tender boy, then the wilder child - through the twisted, treacherous, derailed life of rockers living the stereotype that makes for great songs. He lived "for real" the things we live vicariously from a safe distance. I admit, I would never, as a 40-something small town Mom, have read this book without seeing his charm on American Idol. But as my eyes popped out my head, I just wanted to listen to the songs I never took notice of before. Who would thought I would become a Steven Tyler lover? Read about his home, his band, his wives and the Grand Finale, the love he has for what matters most, his family. I saw the Every Man. I cried over the words of his mom, I laughed at his slaying descriptions of his menagerie; the "zoo animals" in his 40+ year career. I think you should read this book.

Does the noise in my head bother you. A great disappointment

Crazy. Very honest and interesting read. It's amazing that he can still function after the life that he's lead.

The noise in your head Tyler, made for a great read!. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. His zany way of thinking is almost crazy but so close to the edge of being perfectly understandably sane! I had a hard time putting it down. Way to go Steven! Just one more thing you have achieved and done well. I love you! : ) <3

Amazing ..... Amazing ride through rock and roll history!

Utterly fantastic. Thanks to Steven Tyler for being so honest and fun in telling his story, I wish him all the best out of life!

Great Read. One of those characters you truly hope was keeping notes along the way. Really enjoyed following the journey. Thanks Steven!

Does the noise in my head bother you. I kept waiting for some inspiration instead I decided to wait for Stephen to grow up. It is unfortunately like every rock and roll idol story I have ever read. Let's see sex, breaking up, profanity, drugs, sex, profanity, breaking up, drugs. So he is a wasted talented singer and a druggie with a lot of baggage. So sad
