Short but Great.. I read this book really quick. I enjoyed it and it was great going along her journey. I gave it 4 stars because the whole time reading I was like this doesn’t seem to stay with the time plot the author wrote down. (Seemed more moderate which is also good.) Another thing was that it finished really fast, I don’t know if she/he was to lazy but it kept skipping ahead in time. I like my books to skip less in time.

Simple and predictable. This was a very simplistic predictable story with not much plot or character development. I wouldn't mind the predictability if there was a little more depth. I would have liked to have known more about the main characters and would have liked to have seen more integration of the historical time setting in the story.

I really liked this story and when I was done with it I came to see through all the books to see if the author had written followup stories on the four boys she hasn't so I am just throwing it out there that she should I loved those boys and would be really happy to see them get their happily ever afters

Fun Read. This was light and fun to read. Great choice when there is a lot of stress and you simply want to be entertained

Lacking. I liked the story but I felt that the first half was good and somewhere along the second half there was little focus on the actual romance only reason it did not get a 5 star I would have liked to have more romance. And the epilogue still didn’t provide that extra I was looking for.

A Husband for Margaret. This was such a fun read. It is very entertaining and a good relaxing in front of the fire book.

Okay. The book had a very predictable plot & ending overall it was an okay read.

Loved, Loved, Loved this book!. I loved this book it was great. I loved how the Margaret has a really bone for girl of day.

A good start. Basic story line was good. Character development could use work. The conflict had very little buildup and the resolution came so fast there was no chance to get involved. History seemed poorly researched with inappropriate topics (soccer). Grammar could use some work. "Snuck" instead of "sneaked". The children and the main character acted like modern youth, sassy, back-talking and eye-rolling instead of time-period appropriate. I wouldn't consider it professional writing but the author has potential.

Simple and Sweet. If you want to read a novel worth full of intimacy and drama then you are in the wrong place. But if your cup if your cup of tea is for true love happened by chance then this is just for you. This story is a quick read but full of depth. You'll fall head over heals for every character in here. Not to mention get a good laugh for the hilarious situations that occur as well. This story is total worth every minute spent reading. It was for me.

Sweet but weak. R rated? Still G. A couple of clever subplots, but not worth slogging through two books (this and prequel). These books have about as much passion as split pea soup. They are "pleasant." They make Polyanna seem raucous. Reminds me of when someone says "she has a nice personality." I can only be grateful they are free. No more of this author's books. It's like Debbie Macomber (don't like her) in a coma. This is the first negative review I've ever written; never been so fooled before.

Free book, lost time. I read both because hey, they were free and so was I. Now I regret that I'll never get those 2 hours of potential nap time back. I kept waiting for the big turn, and I still am. These are just boring and simply too predictable. I should have known not to wait . . .

Interesting. The story was like a mini soap opera. Funny and interesting. I would love to see this as a mini story on tv.

Great job. I love how the first story featuring Tom ran into this story. It was a great read. I enjoyed Margaret's character. She seemed real, doing things that I could see myself doing.

Ms. Story line was good. Thankfully punctuation was good. I didn't have to decipher what I was reading. But needed a little editing. Soccer balls were not common toys in 1869. The concern re too much sugar in a child's diet didn't start until late 1970's. Waffles irons were a luxury and were not commonly found in all households. If you're not going to pay for an editor, use your computer and do the research yourself!

Cute Easy Read. Really enjoyed reading this. Only took me an hour to read the whole thing. I thought it was even cuter than the first ("A Bride For Tom").

A Husband for Margaret. I liked the premise of the story, but it still doesn't ring true to the time period. The writing may have been slightly better than in A Bride for Tom, but not by much. The author needs to learn to be more descriptive with both her characters and settings.

English as second language?. This author's books are ok, but frequent spelling, grammar, and word useage errors make me think that English is not her primary language, or she does not use an editor or proofreader. Example: peek, peak, and pique, while pronounced the same, have widely different meanings. It is irritating to be caught up in the story and then jarred back to reality with stupid errors. There are better examples of romance writing out there.

A Husband For Margaret. This book made me think of my Greatgrandma. She had a bunch of kids and lived in a small town and had a wooden porch swing. The mood of this book was spot on.

Ruddy awful. I can't think which boxes this is supposed to tick: it isn't good literature (obviously), it isn't clever, it doesn't make you feel good, it isn't realistic, it isn't even (oddly for a romance) very romantic! What really put me off however was the cattiness and plotting of the female characters. I gave her two stars as she can at least spell, although her grammar is hit and miss.

There were no surprises - everything turned out without a glitch and life isn't as easy as all that. Also since I selected at least 10 nicknames and two of them could not have been chosen before I see that if a person gives one or two stars the review is not accepted!!!!
