Stopped reading. I had to stop reading this book. The language just didn't fit the period and I thought it was pretty boring. It sounds like it was written by a teenager.

Loved it. Just finished reading it for the second time! I love it! Made me laugh out loud, awe moments, and had me wanting to read more! Can I get a hard copy??

Sweetness!!. Such a wonderful book! It was able to bring out many emotions from me, I caught myself laughing out loud, sighing, saying aww, and on the edge of my seat. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was definitely a wonderful, clever, and sweet book. Yay!

A ball of emotions. You must read this book! I was sucked in from the first few paragraphs wondering how it would all play out! I laughed and welled up with tears throughout the book!!! It's nice to finally find an author I can follow and let myself be immersed into the story! I can't wait to read more!! :)

Badly Written. This was one of the hardest books to finish and I love to read. The dialogue was very stiff and the characters at times were annoying. Not worth the .99 cents it cost save your money. Could have been an ok story but very hard to connect with the characters and the story.

Ideas great but it's written badly. Such a shame.

Kept thinking it can't possibly be this bad.... But it really is. The language, mannerisms, and expressions are all wrong for the time period. Clearly the writer didn't bother with pesky research. There's minimal character developed and the dialogue made me roll my eyes. The writer incorporated contemporary slang and expressions into a period piece. 'Nuff said.

Predictable and badly written. There is a reason why this book is free. It is terribly written. Nordin must have never taken a writing class where they told her to SHOW NOT TELL. The story makes no sense, it's hard to determine what time everything is taking place in, and worst of all she feels the need to describe every thought rather than allow the reader to feel the story. I honestly felt that I lost brain cells reading this. Do not. Other, it isn't worth your time.

Love it. Start reading, I hated having to put it down for anything. Few parts I had to laugh so hard I almost peed my pants.

Waste of time and money. It reads like a high school student wrote this. I got as far as them getting married and stopped. Very childish writing. Wish I hadn't wasted a dollar.

An inconvenient marriage. I Loved loved loved this story. I couldn't put it down. It was breathtaking and made me remember falling in love with my husband. It made my heart swell. And I loved that it was free. I would recommend it to anyone. I'm not to sure on the title because in the end the marriage was a success. So maybe an unexpected marriage would have been a but more appropriate title. Maybe I just don't get it. Lol

AMAZING!. I absolutely enjoyed every word I read in this book.

Run! Worst Book Ever!. This is a terrible, terrible book. It rambles. It was much too long. The characters are unbelievable and unlikable. The plot is ridiculous. It is supposed to take place in 1899 but, there are so many things out of place, it's shocking. I kept reading hoping that the love story would make it all worthwhile but it was a huge letdown. Even their love scene was horribly disappointing. I honestly can't believe that she's written so many books. No wonder she had to publish her own books. No one else would.

So so. The story line was alright, but the writer needed to do more research on how people spoke in that time period. It was set around the 1900, but the characters kept slip into modern day terms and uses of words. This could have been a really good story if the writer did a little more homework.

Cute story but it was clearly written by an infant. It was a cute story minus the fact that the writing was horrendous. If I had to guess I would say that it was written by a twelve year old only to be revised several years later with an added intimate scene. If the author had tried harder it could have been a good book.

Decent read. I'm guessing that the writing was simple/redundant because the author wanted to reflect the time period and also bring value to the characters. Who knows! Her writing takes some getting used to. Despite the grammar errors, it was a nice read. I definitely didn't cry like other readers but it was cute. 2nd half of the book was decent! Glad it was free.

Love it!. I really enjoy this author's books. It may be the same story line for a few books, but they are enjoyable to get involved in. I love getting sucked into their world.

cute romantic read. this was an adorable story, definitely worth reading. it's sweet light reading that will make you smile at times & feel good. take a break from the craziness of life & slip away into a real sweet time. and it's free, so you gotta love that, right.

Do not pay money for her books!. Try a free one first if you are curious. The idea is solid, but the writing is sophomoric at best. This story is redundant and the dialog is so stilted and unbelievable. Don't waste your money or time on her books.

Heart warming read. Reading other reviews had me confused but I was hooked on this book after reading the sample. To clarify some confusing reviews- the book is set in 19th century not modern day as some reviews state and the language is appropriate for the period. The story is heart warming, funny and simple. Good read if you enjoy a simple romantic story. As much as I like twisting plots it is nice to read something that is simply enjoyable.

Amateurish!. The storyline is so predictable, sounds like the writer has borrowed from all the Mills & Boons she's read! The writing is simply awful, so inconsistent in it's style. The sentences sound like they could have been written at school and don't ring true! The characters speak in a mix of modern & old Lingo, a very lazy piece of work! What a waste of my time, energy & money!!!

Waste of 49 pence. This is not even a decent book for the beach (which is where I read it). It contains very poor quality writing, often childlike and is utterly predictable. For saying it was set in 2010, it is very old fashioned throughout. Just don't bother.

Good, overall. For the most part I enjoyed it, and although I loved Sue's strong personality, there were time when I found it rather off-putting. Also, at times, the plot-line and characterisation would contradict itself, but it was subtle enough to ignore. To be fair it was a good read, but not a great one.

Brilliant. This book was originally free, it is not something that I would have read but was bored and ended up reading a few pages on the train. Next thing I know I've finished it. What a real good book. Really enjoyed reading it.

What a complete waste of money. I don't understand why this book has so many good reviews - how can so many people like this rubbish? Disappointing.... Badly written, the characters are cliche and the story is predictable

An easy read. The story was OK but a lot more editing needed to be done. And there were obvious historical errors that were distracting. The long monologues were also distracting and unnatural. But with more work I think the book could be good. I didn't dislike the story but found it unpolished, that's all.

Fun read a little over top at times. Although this book is set at present time it felt like it was set in the 60's. enjoyable read however the writing is clunky at times. It has good Christian values but really still a adults only book. Ruth keep writing, your writing is getting better!

An Inconvenient Marriage. A terrible book. The author has no idea how to write scenes or dialogue reflecting the times in which she has set the novel - the late 1890s. The plot is predictable and in the end , annoying. I couldn't keep reading, so skipped to the end. And let me tell you, it didn't improve as it went along. Not recommended for anyone.

Took me a long time to read.... ... because I had to stop so many times to roll my eyes. The things that happen in this book are corny and completely awkward. If you're looking for something with no imagination and terrible writing - enjoy!

Loved it!. I absolutely loved this Christian romance set in 1899. Both main characters were different from the norm. Sue (being a no frills and lace girl) was a woman after my own heart. Jake was a bit uptight in the beginning, but his character development was good (I'm glad the author didn't overdo the changes in Jake's character. She kept it believable and made me really love the characters). An excellent book and great to see characters living lives on their Christian ethics. I highly recommend to all.

An inconvenient read. Although the plot isn't too bad, it's fairly formulaic and the writing is poor. Conversation between characters is wooden and sounds like an amateur theatre play, acted by people whose first language isn't English. Not sure it's worth the $0.99 I paid for it.

Sweet. This book has a certain charm... Quite old fashioned, which was surprisingly refreshing... The conversations were a bit formal and long winded, and the plays went on too long, but despite that the characters were warm, well formed and believable. A sweet and gentle read :)

Memorable. I've never written a review for anything iTunes has "sold" before, but I enjoyed this book so much that I had to share my thoughts. I never wanted to put it down, though when I had to discontinue reading all that I was thinking about was what was going to happen next, or how good the last part I read was. Though this review seems a little exaggerated, it is completely true. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading other selections from this author.

OMG!!!!. It's like a romantic comedy!! BUT THE BEST!!! The most hilarious/romantic scenes u'll never imagine happen in this book!! Sue's character was the one that kept me laughing. Also when Jake gets soo romantic makes my heart melt as if he's saying it to U <33333 the best i tell u <33333

Excellent Read. This is a great book to download! I was a bit skeptical, because it is a free book, however it was surprisingly good. The characters are complex. The plot is not predictable. The storyline keeps you intrigued, to the point where you won't want to put it down.

Magnificent. This book was magnificent! I just can't take my hands off of it. The relationship between Jake and Sue is really interesting, it makes you want for more!

Another wonderful tale!. After reading some of the recent reviews of this book I had to go back and re-read it myself. There is NO mention of a computer or any other "futuristic" things, and while some of the plot can be predictable, it's still a great read! Funny, lighthearted and still a good story even after the 4th or 5th read! A good romantic/historical/comedy book.

Amateurish train wreck. Literally the most amateurish book I've ever read. Completely out of touch with reality but yet not preposterous enough to be a purposeful setting. Strikes me as being written with a lot of naïveté. Painful.

Mixed feelings. The beginning of the book was really fantastic and funny, but I couldn't get myself to read some of the boring extraneous side stories. And announcing getting intimate to the family and getting it on in the brothers room was too weird....

Not bad. The story was good in the beginning but I found that it slowed considerably towards the end. It felt like the author didn't want to delve too much into the intricacies of the other characters that were so crucial to moving the plot forward.

Great. Enjoyed this book as well. Nordin does a masterful job with describing events/ settings. You really feel like you are there. Her abilities to show how 2characters can fall in love is awesome.

Quick, good read. A much better book than I was expecting for the price. It was a quick read with a nice story. I quite enjoyed it.

An inconvenient marriage. This is a great twist on your classical romance novel. It has a mixture of comedy, romance, and adventure. For me personally I believe that this is a romance novel that is actually aimed for both men and women which is extremely rare. The author does not just show the side of the woman in the story she equally displays the male protagonist's side as well. A great read for all ages and genders.
