Excellent. very sweet love story of two misfits that fall in love and build a life together

Loving Eliza. I believe that everyone deserve a second chance. The storyline was great. I know Troy was going to be trouble and that someone from her past would show up. I hoped that the old woman would had got her. Did not like her at all. Lol

Captivating. Really kept my interest in wondering what would happen next. Interesting characters and story of redemption with a healthy side of romance were a perfect balance

Beautifully redemptive love story. Loving Eliza exceeded my expectations! The premise of the book was interesting enough, but the way the story unfolded kept me riveted until the end. Admittedly, the writing style was more simplistic than I usually enjoy, but the characters and content more than made up for any lack of fancy eloquence. The subject matters were very serious (tw: rape was addressed more than once), and there was an underlying Christian theme that tied into the redemption she experienced with John. As for the romance, I would rate it PG-13. There were a few sexual scenes between married individuals, but they were tasteful and sweet. Other than that, there were a couple of passionate kisses. It was tender and innocent which contrasted sharply with Eliza’s past as a prostitute and made those moments even more special to read. I could be picky and criticize little things here and there, but I see no point. I think almost anyone will read the book and understand why it’s worth it in spite of an insignificant amount of improvements that could be made. I’m gladly giving it 5 stars for creativity and heart! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Heartfelt. I fell in love with Eliza and John, you felt you were there with them when you are reading this book. So excited to read the next one. Why change the cover of the book from a beautiful lady to an ugly kid. I get used to the cover to find in my iBooks and then an author will change the cover. Ridiculous

Fitting. Great story not x-rated, or full of curse words. Highly recommended. Full of strength to overcome sad childhood.

Loving Eliza. Really liked this book. Very emotional. A lot of drama/conflict that kept the story interesting. I knew as soon as I started reading it I was going to like it. It was good from start to finish. Can’t help but love the main characters. John and Eliza fall in love despite everything from their past and present. A HEA romance that don’t disappoint.

Good Read. This was most definitely don’t judge a book by its cover, the story was very well written and heartfelt. Not a fan of the cover. Will read the next book in the series.

Awesome book!. What a read! The book begins with the arrival of Eliza, a former prostitute who is looking for a fresh start. She arrives in town to clean houses for a middle-aged woman, but is intercepted by John, a mute man who mistakes Eliza for his mail order bride. He sticks to Eliza like glue, because he already knows that Eliza’s employer had suffered a deadly fall down the stairs. In a typical historical romance, the heroine would then be forced to marry someone. Nope, Eliza is under the impression that her sorted past makes her unfit to be a bride. So, she agrees to work for John instead of being his bride. Although the story is romantic, sensitive subjects are touched upon, but are not enacted in scenes. John also deals with a disability that is misunderstood by many. Because he is mute, many of the towns people, including his brother Troy, think that it translates into him being stupid. The fact that Eliza is able to see John for who he really is, makes this story have a special place in my heart. It’s nice that in return, John is able to love Eliza for the wonderful person that she is. There are twists, turns, and moments that made me laugh out loud. I’d recommend this read to anyone looking for a story that has love, spice, and interesting side characters.

Sweet!. I wasn’t expecting much because I thought this will be one of those short and super cheesy books. But oh my goodness! When I told you that I cried reading this book, you’ll def laugh at me. But I did! I love this book a lot and there’s a lot of green flags! I would love to have a sweet and honest John in my life :)

Romance as it should be!. A good storyline with great characters, in difficult situations. Love how she brought it all together. I’ll read more of her stories. No Fbombs dropped and love scenes that didn’t turn into porn! Thank you

Loving Eliza. I just got through with Loving Eliza, and thought it was wonderful! I love the message, that everyone, no matter their past, deserves love. I've read about 10 of Ruth Ann Nordin's books, on my iPad, and find them to be lovely! They are very well written, and I really appreciate the bits of history, mingled in with the love stories. She also manages to put just the right amount of "romance". I also like that even the ones, that I've read, set in modern day times, have some sort of look into the past. Overall, I would recommend them to anyone, as a lighthearted, easy read, with a great message :)

One of her best books!. I’ve read this book more times then I can count. It’s the third book I ever bought on my kindle back in high school! The dynamics of all the relationships is amazing! Ruth Ann never fails to impress me with these historical romances, and they way her books all tie together just brings me so much joy! You can’t help but fall in love with Eliza As much as John does! She has a way of writing about real people, believable situations!
