One of the best books I read. It's an amazing book it tell you what drugs can do and how addicted they can be.

Must Read. This is a must read! This is a true life story that reflects on how hard it can be to stop an addiction! And I must say this was astounding! 📖

Stays with you. This book was an easy read the journal/diary gave the book intimacy, compassion for each character, a secret look inside feeling (voyeurism? Lol). It stays with me for weeks after a read. I've probably read it three times. Brilliant author.

Love this book. This is the best book I've ever read in my whole life. I really enjoyed it because it opened my eyes and made me realize many things I did not know.

Wow. It was a good read. Not my type of book, but definitely a good read.

Amazing!. This book had so many twists and turns. I was hooked with every entry to this diary. I just couldn't believe the end.

Not what I expected or wanted, but ok. At first I thought it felt a little inauthentic. Like it’s a book about drug use but the escalation is insane. It reads like a cop pretending to narrate the life of a drug dealer. When I looked up the book and found the author was a psychologist, it really all made sense. I was hoping for a relatable, nuanced book but this was not that. It felt like thinly disguised anti drug propaganda. Also the ending sucked. With all the negatives out of the way I kind of did enjoy reading the book, but more so to hear how a psychologist thinks the reality is, compared to what I know and what I’ve gathered from others.

Don’t buy. Was just the open title page. Not the book.

Go ask Alice. I love this book. I hate reading, but I could put this down! I love that it's her diary, and her difficult journeys she stumbles upon. Life experiences through out the book. Makes you mad, sad, happy and all! I read this book 4 years ago. And it's still my favorite book. I recommend it to teens mainly.

Love!. I really loved this book. It told a great story with her own words. Sad. But you won't be able to stop reading it

70’s drug propaganda. The book seems not based on actual experience

Recommended. Read this book when I was a teenager and it’s one of my favorites

Still Relevant. I think every teenage girl should read this book. I read it the first time when I was 15. I have recommended it to every teenage girl I know, and now it’s time for me to give it to my teenage daughter. The content is a tough read but that’s the point, in one way or another we can all relate to “Alice”.

Great book. I've read this book a couple of times, I completely became addicted the first time I read it, you won't regret it reading this book.

Wow. This was a great book in some ways i can relate but im a guy who had to read this for an english class but wow this girl has been through hell and back

Review. Beautiful, sad, distressing. Story is upsetting and beautiful all at the same time.

I loved this book. I love this book it's a true story and it show the struggles teens go through. It shows how influence changes your life I loved it !

Love. Fell in love with this book

Loved it ! 💕. Probably one of the best books ive ever read ... Lots of drama !

este libro apesta. está bien aburrido y corto, el personaje principal apesta

I absolutely love this book. This book is amazing it has really made me cautious to make sure to always make sure to have right friends and of course to never to do drugs If you also pay attention to the book the character also seems way more miserable when she is on drugs rather than off

Not for younger readers. This is a very eye opening book. I read it and originally was going to have my 14 year old daughter to read it as I thought it would show her the dangers of experimenting with drugs and what could happen. However, after reading it, I feel that the content is too mature for her at this time perhaps she can read it in another year or so. Sadly I won't be able to have this in my classroom library as it will be inappropriate for the grades I will be teaching. I would recommend it for high school aged children though.

!. N1 book for me

AMAZING BOOK. This was an amazing book I couldn't bit it down I read it in two days it was so great I loved the book I could read it over and over and over again!!

Grate book. This book is one of the best I have ever read. It's a really good book. You should try and read it ^.^

It's ok. Not that great but it kept my attention

Amazing story. Read this when I was 14, read it again now at age 22. Still as compelling as I remember. Really resonates with you.

go ask Alice. this was a great book. and the ending was a shocker! I can relate to this book so it was an easy read.

Go Ask Alice…????? Tragic and True. Okay read.. True Life… for real life experiences??? Majority of Teenagers experience this everyday- drugs, bullying, feeling left out and parents are sometimes blind. Overall, Go Ask Alice is definitely a great book for adolescents to read and use it to open themselves up for advice. Makes me sad that this poor girl thought she had the perfect family but noone knew what really was going on through her mind.

She would have been a great person to know. I personally don't think she intentionally overdosed given how happy she ended her diary... But who knows. Three weeks is a long time to not express ur feelings and stresses. Especially since she had had this diary as a kind of psychiatrist for so long. I would have loved to read more.

Nice book, I love it. I DO NOT read books but when I do this book is a great start.

one of my favorite books!. i love this book so much, definitely hard to put down once you started reading

Great book!. I had to read this book for school. I bought it one day, and the next day I started it. I finished it in less than 3 hours. It is a great book, and parents who have children should read it, as well as teens. It really opens your eyes. Again, great book!

Amazing!. This book kept me on edge the entire time. I loved it.

If you are out of high school, don't buy this.. Unless you are analyzing this book for an assignment, it is not worth the money. Regardless of whether this book is real or not (it's not), it is a poorly written piece of propaganda. For a book that claims to be an actual diary the author did not try very hard to be credible. The subject matter is easy to read regardless of how it is written, but if you are out of middle school, and even high school, I recommend picking up a different book. This is ridiculously stupid. If you are 13-17, go ahead and read this, it will shock a naive mind just like as it is intended to.

Aged like a fine milk. I read this when I was in high school in study hall. I only read halfway through before the period ended, and I never got a chance to pick it up again. I really wanted to continue because I was hooked. I would go to the library periodically to see about finding it without luck. When the world ended in 2020, I got a chance to finally get it and finish it. It has not aged well at all. The anti drug message is loud and clear. Very loud. To the point of the story feeling like it was written by an edge lord. I’d pass on this one.

Amazing😍. This book was definitely a page turner. It kept my interest the whole time. It feels so real and definitely makes me NEVER want to do drugs.

Favorite book. Honestly this is my favorite book number 1 for sure it's a must read it gives you a different perspective on life and opens your eyes

Great. It's a book that really makes you think twice before trying drugs.

A FAKE book. All this time later, and STILL Beatrice Sparks’s embarrassingly fake book gets treated as fact?! Why read and support this trash when there are so many genuinely reliable accounts of drug abuse published?

I absolutely love this!. After I've read this book I still think about it all the time. What this girl went through was astounding. And it feels so unfinished and raw but that's what made it so great. My favorite novel by far.

Very unfortunate. This book make me feel some type of way. She was very well spoken for her age, and her parents were nice people. She seemed to always try and do better for herself, it’s unfortunate it just had to end like that.

Fake story. It's a FAKE!!!! Written by someone who lied about her credentials.

Great. Best book I read really got my attention couldn't put it down

Borrrinnnggg.. I honestly got through 152 pages and than just started to get bored.. Not worth the money

Amazing. This book was literally painful to read, but so worth it. I read this at 12, probably should have waited a year or two but the hate is unneeded. This book is spectacular and I suggest it to anyone wanting to ‘feel something’ when they read their next book.

It could happen to anyone. This book was just one example to show that anything could happen to you, even if you try your hardest to prevent it

Great book. Love this book great

Ask Alice. I read this book all in one sitting in less than five hours. This is by far the best book I've ever read without a doubt! Being 20 and an addict myself, I can honestly say that this is the most accurate book I've ever read dealing with addiction. Anyone that is struggling with addiction or just casual drug use, should read this. You will instantly be pulled in if you know the struggles of this life and not want to stop reading. This was an eye opener and definitely a life saver.

In love with this book. I read it in one setting. Most addicting book ever. Getting ready to read Letting Ana Go, and i just finished this book 5 minutes ago.

Not credible. There is no proof that this is really some girl's journal. It is a work of fiction.

Amazing. This book makes u think what and how anything can effect u in anyway in this case drugs and u wonder how someone can go through what she did. This book isn't a waste of money trust me I've read it 5 times and everyone I think something new :)

This is a story that endures.... I have read & loved this book since I was a teenager & it still moves me. I was surprised to see that the mystery of “Anonymous” has been solved but I still read it as the words of a teenager who, like me, struggled with many of the same feelings that were written in her diary. However, I found myself laughing at her plans to “roll her hair in orange cans” & “having to wait 3-4 days for pictures to be returned”. There’s been an effort to ban “Go Ask Alice” because it’s thought to be overly graphic and a misleading depiction of drug use. While I agree it’s graphic but to me, it’s a sad story of a teenager struggling to fit in. Who desires to be accepted but sees herself as awkward & insignificant. To me, this is a moving story of a girl w/ a huge heart & a deep sense of empathy. She tells a story of heart break & triumph. I don’t know or care if her description of her drug experiences are accurate, because this book is so much more than that.

Good. Good

Amazing. This book is a really great read for teens. I’m 18 now and i read it when I was about 15. It definitely makes you think, whether it is a real journal or not. Its a great book! I recommend it to everyone!

Go ask Alice. Ce livre arrive à capturer une idée générale de ce que peux vivre un jeune face à la drogue, même encore aujourd’hui.

Amazing !. I've loved this book since high school , great read . Very real.

Emotional extremly amazing book!!!!!. Im a girl that actually hates reading and my friend told me read this you will love it i started reading and the more i did the more i sodnt want to let go of it i promiss if you are a person bettween the age of 15-18 who actually knows about drugs a little or actually lives a hard life you will love it and it will maybe change the way you think or act :)
