Still one of my favorites.. I always come back to Mr. King for a great read. He brought me to reading, and I can't get enough!

One of my favorite King books. I rarely reread books, but I just finished rereading Duma Key. I’ve read most SK books, but this had always been one of my favorites. Such a great and haunting story. Every bit as good the second time.

Literally scary. I loved that I was actually scared at one point sitting in my living room!

Incredible!. Even though this may not be Stephen King's best book ever, I have to say I was thrilled while reading this book. I couldn't let it go no matter where I went. The mysteries that surround Edgar, Wireman and Duma itself caught me so tightly that I read it all in three days. Unfortunately, it seems apple won't let me rate it 5 stars. What a shame.

Duma Key. I think one of his best books. I'm not a big Stephen King Fan but I was really impressed with this book. It does tend to get a little slow at times but it was worth it.

It took me forever. When it takes you 6 months to finish a book you can tell it was not good. I couldn’t read more than 15 pages at a time. 11/22/63 was a long book I couldn’t put down. That was a masterpiece. But this? This was really bad

Not a favorite of this King fan. I love King's books and was excited to read Duma Key, but didn't enjoy it as much as I like his older books. It maintains a "Rose Madder"-like sense of an impending publishing deadline, but misses the chilling thrill of most of King's work.

Great Book. Starts off slow and does have a few remaining slow parts later on, however, the book is really a well written story. I would recommend this to any other Stephen King fan as one the story took off it really was great!

Duma Key. I have read most of Steven King's Book loved them all but Duma Key Is Outstanding . I grew up in the general vicinity and it astonishing accurate in every way except for the no one tells a better tale but this is one of my personal favorites !

Duma Key can take you places unexpected. ... if you let it! Philosophical perspective woven into personal loss and the supernatural -- very enticing to say the least. Thanks for another page turner Mr. King.

Great reading. Couldn't put it down

Duma key. King!! Duma key came alive on the page, I smelled the salt air, felt the breeze, and lived the horror leaping off the page.....I might not be able to visit Floridas beaches without hearing voices in the movement of the shells and witness the water give up its dark dark secrets......

Amazing!!!. Awesome. Nice way to pass time.

Favorite King novel. I have read nearly all of King's novels and short stories and this one is my favorite.

Great book til the ending. I enjoyed the first 600 pages! But the ending was not up to par with the rest of the book, so sad!

Duma Key. Stephen King is by far one of the best Novelist of our time. There is not to many Books where you become that person and feel what that person feels. This is one of those Books and I don't think there is a movie based on this book, but if there was I would just love to play Edgar Freemantle.

Great read!. Read this over vacation in about two good days! It had just been sitting on the bookcase!

Loved this book!. Duma Key was exciting! I could not put it down. Very glad I read it.

Duma Key. Just finished reading this book and really enjoyed it. When you were reading it you could just see the sunset he describes and smell the ocean. I was so happy that it had a ending and didn't leave you wondering what happen. It's a hard to put down book would recommend this book to any Stephen fan.

You're welcome Mr. King!. I loved all the characters in this book. They seemed like people that one would actually want to meet. I loved reading about the friendship that developed between Wireman and Freemantle. Although, at the end of the book, I would have loved to have read a different ending to their friendship. I would've also liked to have seen Isle end up with Jack, but that might have been to obvious. Overall, the story did start off slow, but I felt it was necessary in order to really understand Edgar's past and all the characters involved. There were some parts that were scary, ill admit.

Didn't want it to end. I devoured this book, when it usually takes me awhile to read something. I loved this book so much that at the end, due to its emotional climax and the fact that it ended, I actually cried. No book has ever affected me like that. It's a brilliant piece of work.

It ended too soon!. Duma Key is another fantastic story in the world of Stephen King. I had a difficult time putting it down from the very first page. The story was so fascinating that I was disappointed when it ended (as is the case for me whenever I finish one of Mr. King's works, it seems).

Another Win. Another win for Stephen King. A beautifully written novel about loss, recovery, friendship, and magic. Scary at times, but nothing a little daylight can’t fix.

One of my favorite King stories yet. I could not put this down. Stephen King always has wonderful character depth, but I could smell the air and see the visions myself. A combination of light and dark, it left me searching for more to read.

Muy bien!. Bravo once again

Tight, well-written, worth while. Stephen King has been so spotty from the 90s on that it's sometimes hard to pick up a new King, knowing that he's going to reel you in with his engaging style, only to then stumble over himself (see: DESPERATION, INSOMNIA, CELL, THE DOME). This is part ROSE MADDER, a little MISERY, a lot BAG OF BONES). The writing is taut and it appears that he actually knew where the story was heading when the narrative begins. That's been a missing ingredient in the ones that haven't worked. POSSIBLE SPOILER: The only criticism other than a sense of "we've met this enemy before" is the Pollyanna aspect of the protagonist's sudden success as an artist, with everyone from the general public to art aficionados (critic, gallery owners) fawning over how LITTLE the man knows about art.

Best book ever. This book was fantastic! One of the best I've ever read! Great job Stephen King, you have never ceased to amaze your readers.

An artists ghost story. I love King’s work, when I heard this one was about an artist, I was definitely intrigued! Being a painter myself and a Florida native I enjoyed his details about surrealist painting and Florida locations. Great story, King is a master. Highly recommend this one!

Duma key the movie. I absolutely love this book! Of all Steven King's books that were made into movies, this would be the most bone chilling, vivid and imaginatively awesome movie. The whole time I was reading the book I had an extreme vision of every character, the feel of the island, the emotion of Edgar, Wireman, and Elizabeth. If I could play a part in the movie I would want to be Jack. Duma Key as a movie would reinvent people's view of what Stephen King is capable of as far as an inventor of sheer terror. And if by some miracle, Mr. King reads this, I hope he will write me so I can share my ideas with him as I have created practically an entire screenplay. -Jdmtoby@hot
