But now, framed for murder by a sinister cabal, Harvath takes his fight to the towering mountains of Switzerland—and joins forces with beautiful Claudia Mueller of the Swiss Federal Attorney’s Office. Together they must brave the subzero temperatures and sheer heights of treacherous Mount Pilatus—where their only chance for survival lies inside the den of the most lethal team of professional killers the world has ever known…

Lived Up To Expectations. A fast-paced, action thriller that's quite enjoyable. There was clearly a lot of effort put in to research for the details of the story. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Great read!!. Totally enjoyed reading this book. A wonderful escape👍

The way a book is meant to be. Brad Thor quickly became one of my favorite authors. I read the apostle in two days and the rest as they say is history. Having served for many years in the military I can relate to many of the characters in his stories. if you are in the mood for a good read, I highly suggest brad Thor.

A good read. Good enough to make me want to buy another.

Great book. Had some slow parts but definitely worth the read. Made me go and buy more of his books.

Lions of Lucerne. Entertaining enough to read to the end but doubt I’ll read any more Brad Thor books. This is my favorite genre and this author came highly recommended by multiple radio hosts but writing for me was sophmorish and some of the similes were a stretch. Maybe ok for a beach read but not for those who like an unpredictable thriller.

The Lions of Lucerne. Great book! Will make an excellent movie if directed and filmed with the same quality, sharpness and dialogue as found in the remake of Casino Royale. Deacon Dukes

Great read!. Great plot and character development. I am really looking forward to reading all of the novels in this series.

Amazing. I stumbled across Black List while looking for a book to read one rainy day at a local supermarket. Needless to say the selection was not very impressive and nothing seemed to strike my fancy. Then I noticed Black List in the shelf, and was drawn to it. I flipped it over and scanned the back cover and decided to buy it. Once I started reading it, I could not put it down. I have now set out to read all Brad Thor's novels. I am and always will be a huge Tom Clancey fan, but Brad Thor's unique ability to rivet a reader is in my opinion, equal to if not now surpassing the master. I look forward to finishing all his books and eagerly anticipate the release of the next one. Keep up the amazing work.

The Lions of Lucerne. Awesome book. Enjoyed every fast paced minute.

Spy thriller by numbers. Entertaining but formulaic. I’m not sure yet if I’d recommend it to others but it was decent enough for me to try to the second book in the series (which I’ll be starting following the period at the end of this sentence).

Wow. I usually don’t read these kind of books but this series was recommended to me by a friend. The first few chapters were kind of slow in my opinion but after that, the next thing I knew I’m half way through the book. I laughed, gasped and cursed at this book which means the author did an amazing g job pulling the reader in. I highly recommend this book to anyone.

The lions of lucerne. Loved this book!!

Great story. Couldn’t put it down.. Liked the suspense and thrill of the chase. One surprise after another.

The Lions of Lucerne. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this fast paced story of Scot Horvath's quest to restore the president from a violent kidnapping. The cold temperatures of most of the book's settings were balanced by the heat of the relentless chase! Excellent page turner!

The Lions of Lucerne!. All I have to say is WOW!

Written to cast C level Hollywood actors.. I hope Thor’s books get better as they go.

A new favorite author--A Great Read. I just discovered this author with his recent best seller, Full Black. That book was so good, I bought three other Thor books, including this one, and read them nonstop. I will probably buy every book. This guy is great at writing about action, SEALS missions etc. He is now one of my top four authors. Keep them coming!

The Lions of Lucerne. Brad Thor. The president of the United States is kidnapped. The vice president, his chief of staff, two senators and a very wealthy industrialist are behind this. Secret Service Agent Scoot Harvath is blamed for everything. His entire team is killed and Harvath is disgraced. Blamed for everything. What ensues is an electrifying tale of action, intrigue and bravery Of Scott and his Swiss agent Claudia who is just as deadly as Scott!!! A stupendous read!! Enjoyed immensely!!! My highest recommendation!!

Awesome read!!. If u wonder which Scot Harvath book to read first, take this one!

From Mitch to Scot!. To all Mitch Rapp fans out there, this is the series you’ve been looking for.

Great first book. My first Brad Thor book after hearing good things from other friends. I'm a big Vince Flynn fan as well as Lee Child and Brad Thor has added himself as another favorite. Great writing style and a book that kept me in suspended always wondering how Harvath was going to get his way out of the next hairy situation. Can't wait to rad the rest!

Awesome. Great book!!!

Great read!!!. Fast moving action filled book.

Engaging, Exciting, Entertaining. Author Brad Thor has a talented ability to draw the reader into the story. The pace is fast, the plot moves along well and the characters are sufficiently developed so the reader can picture them, see what they're doing, but cannot predict their next move. Thor offers technical definitions sparingly and economically. He spares us from ad nauseum descriptions of handguns, military equipment, automobiles and other things that some writers fill pages with. He knows what he's talking about but doesn't flaunt it. In short, Thor writes like we think.

Solid Spy Novel. Enjoyable characters and good plot intrigue with a fast pace that doesn’t over complicate things. Definitely will dip back into this series in the future.

Sorry I wasted my money. Good authors are hard to find. Especially those who can spin a good tale without excess sex and profanity. I'm no prude, but I couldn't even finish the prologue. A Gay tryst and hard profanity? And this book came highly recommended by Glen Beck and Sean Hannity. I was saddened as I had really looked forward reading a new author. I gave up Tom Clancy long ago for the same reason. Why is it that writers think they can't spin a great tale without sex and hard profanity? I will take my money elsewhere and support good writers who can write great stories without the dirt. Sorry Brad, you lost more than a potential loyal reader.

Very well written. This is another amazing novel written by Brad Thor. It is suspenseful, action packed, and will make you never want to put the book down.

Lions of Lucernce. LOVED IT!!Absolutely a great story and I loved the Scot Harvath character!! I couldn't put my iPad down, I just had to see what happened next, and next, and next!! Sleep deprived and all I'm glad I bought all the books.

Awesome. Loved it right down to the last page. Hard to put down even if you want to go to sleep..

Predictable and elementary. The whole plot was revealed in the first few chapters. The politics was both unnecessary and ideologically partisan. The plot and dialogue was predictable and elementary.

Good read. Overall this was a good read. While Thor provides many details to characters' actions, sometimes he overextends his plots. I love the action and the seeming realism but find the logic wanting. I would, however, recommend this book for a great escape!

Lions of Lucerne. Well done. The first of Thor’s excellent adventure series.

Very good story. Good plot, well written, but a bit far fetched.

Uhhhgggg. Juvenile plotting, silly decisions, and even sillier dialogue... Difficult to continue reading... I'll assume his writing matures so I will skip a few novels ahead... My advice is to skip this one...

Stupid. If u like dumb James Bond thrillers you'll enjoy. Otherwise just a stupid blah, blah super Seal story.

Thoroughly enjoyed it!. Great book! Fast paced, lots if action.

Lions of Lucerne. Excellent read. Action and entrigue.

Good read. Enjoyed it from beginning to end.

The firs and last I will read. This book was slow and predictable. With a heavy dose of over explanation at every turn. Won’t be reading anymore of the series.

Lions of Lucerne. Not particularly well written. The dialogue does not fit the emotion that is trying to be conveyed portrays unprofessional behavior of the agents. Fiction is fiction but this could not hold my attention.

Fantastic Novel!. Brad Thor has become one of the great suspense-thriller authors of our time. If you enjoy reading authors like Cussler, Clancy or Baldacci, you will surely enjoy Brad Thor's work. In this first novel of the Scot Harvath series, we are introduced to our hero and how he is immediately put to the test. From the beginning of this book to the end, Harvath is put to the test both physically and mentally. This a great read, I could not put the book down!

Boring and simplistic.. I actually could not finish this book. I just finished re-reading a Gray Man novel when I tried this book. The writing, especially the overlong dialogues when two characters are arguing, drags on and on. The tedious explanations of every detail also forced me to start skipping 3-4 pages at a time, hoping to get through this book. But no, I just couldn’t do it. There must be something that people like about these books, lots of good reviews and lots of books written, it just wasn’t for me.

Excellent read. Lions of Lucerne is a read that is hard to put down. It kept me engaged!

Lions. My first Brad Thor book. Started out slow but kept building until I could not put it down. Very satisfactory ending!

Super read. Dirk Pitt, Jason Borne, and James Bond rolled into one. Great story line, super read. Can't wait to read the others

Great plot but dialogue is sophomoric at best.. Overall, I enjoyed this book which is the first Brad Thor novel I've read. As tough as the character Scott Horvath is portrayed to be, the dialogue between him and the antagonists sounds like stuff I heard on the playground in Jr. high school. Kinda geeky.

Awesome. Probably the best one I have read so far.

Fun Fun Fun!. One of the most entertaining and FUN read I had in a long time! I had a hard time putting this novel down. Keep up the good work Brad!

Don’t waste your money. This was so bad I didn’t even make it a third of the way through before giving up altogether. The only thing worse than the unrealistic plot is the lack of character depth and C grade dialogue. Could seriously be better written by a high school student. How do I get my money back?,

Great story. Enthralling and captivating which made it difficult to put down. Enjoyed it right to the end.

Excellent. Gripping read

Lions of Lucerne. Great kept me on the edge. Nice action. Good Characters thanks Brad

Very entertaining. This was my first novel by Brad Thor and I will certainly read many more, a real page turner.

Lions of Lucerne.. Great book. Love his character. Well worth the price. Have all his books so far and will buy all that come out.

Purile. Infantile storyline, terrible grammar and the usual errors penned by American authors when referring to areas of the planet not inside US borders. Note to author. When travelling to Europe jet lag causes you to wake LATER by their clock, not earlier.
