State of the Union. Just OK. Really almost like a continuation of his first, much better, work.

State Of The Union. Brad Thor. Russia is trying to threaten America into submission by threats of nuclear devices that could bring America to its knees. Scott Harvath along with Morrels team of elite operatives and a Russian SVR agent as well are Americas only line of defense. Another stupendous read in this series!!! Enjoyed immensely!! My highest recommendation!!

Good. Purty good book

Great book. Can not put this book down once you start it Brad Thor at his best.

Overly Detailed. Not a bad thing to be detailed, but I felt I spent more time reading about the gear that was used versus the actual storyline. It kind of took the joy out of reading what was going to happen next. Storyline was fantastic and delivered a ton of intense moments, but the detail of each weapon, scuba gear, and vehicle characteristics got to be a little annoying at times. Overall a great book and story, just tone it down with the exact names for everything and it’d be a bit easier to read. Solid book though!

Really far-fetched. 1. That the Russians would wait to activate sleepers while their country deteriorated for decades is far-fetched. 2. A Russian asset who gnawed his hand off and had both ankles smashed by a cement block 15 years prior appears to have the ability run quickly and the manual dexterity to carry and use hydraulic jacks and set up elaborate booby traps is far-fetched.

Thrill ride. Start with Lions of Lucerne and keep going. Just hold on and enjoy the ride. Great plot and character development.

State of the a Union. Brad Thor does it again! Incredible attention to detail with suspense and intrigue.

Not his best. While the plot was solid, and the action and espionage was good, I found myself consistently disliking the dialogue. I felt it was less than genuine, sometimes unrealistic or corny. I still gave the book 3 stars but it was not Thor's best effort.
