Inspiring read for leaders at all levels. In his novel, Pete Blaber provides extremely critical waypoints on how one should lead men. This unadulterated account ingrains in us how business is best conducted, whether in be in the mountains of Afghanistan, or a 55th story office on Wall Street!

From a Guy on the Ground.... This work is an insightful look into the world of a special operations leader. Peter takes us on a journey both near and far where “The Guy on the Ground” must be listened to. If you want to build the team, then this book is for you!

Excellent book. I couldn't stop reading. A must read for anyone interested in Spec Ops, Afghanistan, and military history. A large portion is about operation anaconda. He offers an interesting viewpoint, but I would definitely read "not a good day to die" if you want more about Anaconda.

Amazing Story. Amazing story with an incredibly unique view of war and life. Perfect companion read to "Not A Good Day to Die."

Great book!. This book was a very great and easy read. I'm speechless in the fact that the information in this book is awe-inspiring. If you are a leader, or desire to be a leader in everything you do, you must read this. Pete Blaber not only writes about his exciting journeys, but also provides information on how and why he chose to make those decision. This is a great book to read and I have already began to recommend this book to everybody I know.

Listen to the guy on the ground. This was an entertaining, knowledgeable and inspiring read! The 3Ms, the saturate incubate and illuminate along with the “guiding principals” were enlightening and I hope to implement these thought processes into my my daily life both at home and at work. Being a leader requires trust and the members of the AFO trusted Pete because he trusted them. 10/10 recommend

Enjoyed this book. I thought this book was good and gave a very important lesson. "Trust the men on the ground." We have a lot of GREAT men that risk everything for our freedoms. We should trust them when put into those situations. Thank-you to ALL the men and women who served.

"Need to share". Once you read this book you will understand......Blaber tells it like it is for leaders in all walks of life. Lessons learned in combat can absolutely carry into non combat situations. I have recommended this book to many of my friends and rave how it gives a no BS approach to common sense leadership and care for you people you lead! It (the book) possesses not only nuggets that you can use to infuse into you leadership styles, but also can push (in a good way) the common boundaries of traditional hierarchy of Command. What a Read!

Incredible insights. This is a book that gives you a great idea on what is capable from a person when they have the tenacity that Commander Pete Blaber has. What I found amazing about this book, is that it really shows how there are people who can manage and there are people who can lead whether it is in the military or in business. The guiding principles are universal. But my favorite is always listen to the guy on the ground. Ask questions to people who have walked the road, seen what has not been seen, done what has not been done, it's those people that can help you grow and in Commander Blabers case, help you survive. Great book! Highly recommend it.
