Wow. Great book, well written. Indeed, this should be required reading in our high schools. George Washington was most definitely a man of honor, integrity,and grit, I already knew this. However, I did not realize how much determination, and stamina it took and the odds he overcame to bring those brave troops through that winter at Valley Forge,
Marla. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I think it, as well as the writings of Thomas Paine should be read by everyone. Maybe then people would get a better idea of the sacrifices made to give us the freedoms we have, and the dangers of placidly sitting by while our freedoms are whittled away because the loss of a particular right does not affect them personally.
Every child should read.. This book should be required reading in all high schools in order for people to understand the character and strength that make up this country. No we are not perfect but we are the best humanity has to offer.
