Good book. I really enjoyed this book but I couldn’t give it 5 stars for the simple fact that it was very short. I feel like I paid full price but only got 3/4 of a product.

Really good!. Excellent story. Characters are believable. While its got serious themes, it's still very enjoyable.

Favorite. I've read every Lisa Kleypas book and by far this one is my favorite. She did a really great job of drawing the reader in. It captivated my attention. I will read it again very soon.

Not right for Hardy. This was very short and hard to believe. I love Hardy, but I just wasn't buying he'd suddenly fall for anyone. I would think it would be a girl who presented a bit more of a challenge. The heroine was just too easy (despite the abuse she had to overcome). I wish I would hav not read this one, I would like Hardys story to b better than this.

Loved It!. This is one of my favorite Lisa Kleypas books. It really makes you hold your breath at times. I absolutely love Haven and Hardy together. What a perfect couple. They both had to overcome so much to get to their happily ever after. Great job Lisa Kleypas.

A Bit Different. I usually don't like romances told in the first person, but the perspective of the main character was so emotionally expressive, I was glad I had purchased and read this one! Her thoughts and feelings about living through an abusive relationship and recovering her sanity and balance are surely balm to those who see even a little bit of themselves in her past. I'm impressed that LK developed this character, Haven, so that she travels beyond the typical needy damsel-hot lover to the rescue genre, although there's certainly plenty of that!

Great Book!. This is my favorite book on the Travis family. LK is so right on about what abuse victims undergo psychologically, emotionally, and physically. Of course, as this is a Kleypas novel, there's a lot of steamy encounters filled with tender loving and care. Will read this book again and again.

Talented author.. Well written, well researched, and an entertaining plot.

3 stars just cause I love Lisa. I’m not sure why, but I feel like I’m reading a completely different author. It’s the first of her contemporary series that I’ve read. I wasn’t interested in Sugar Daddy. I feel like she took too much time developing the abuse part and all the times Nick came back to Haven rather than develop Haven and Hardy’s relationship. I feel like they fell in love based on all the amorous encounters but you can’t really see much any other aspect of their relationship. Hardy is a doll and even though I would have love to see more of him in a daring and romantic context he was definitely my favorite character. I do however like how Lisa addresses the verbal, physical and sexual domestic violence issues.

Blue-Eyed Devil. Outstanding, keeps you on edge. Always want to know what's going to happen on the next page! Should have read Sugar Daddy first, then Blue-Eyed Devil, followed by Smooth Talking Stranger.

Smoothtalking stranger. I love it! You can't help to fall in love with the characters especially Jack Travis.

Very touching story. Narcissism brings a lot of problem, physically and mentally. Nonetheless, Kleypas wrote it well. Im glad that Hardy finally has a happy ending.
