Generally good with a hint of stupidity. Most lessons are quite general. Pick up any investment book and you'll be advised the same - hence it's safe. Then there's some (in my opinion) dumb advice like - "learn from the antique buyer". He might as well say "learn from the fisherman". I wouldn't recommend this book.

Super book!. This was a great read. Very simple to understand with great investing principles. I would highly recommend this book.

Very encouraging book!. I was hesitant to read this book at first but after reading it I feel more confident in investing and less fearful of losses. Excellent book!

A must read for any investor. I am writing this review to express my gratitude and praise the generosity of the author of Lessons from the Successful Investor. The book was incredibly informative and really motivated me to drive the inner investor I always knew was inside me. The advice is simple, easy to understand and puts the entire world of shares trading into perspective. I have personally thanked the author Robin Speziale through email and he has already responded with some advice. Such a kind and educated person! A must read!

Great book!. This book clearly illustrates the value in investing for the long term and simplifies the methods used in value investing. It clearly goes against the grain on certain topics such as the merits of diversification but his arguments are well supported if you have the mindset of Benjamin Graham i.e. owning pieces of companies and not simply trading stocks for profit. I'd recommend this book to anyone looking for an alternative to investing their money with in a mutual fund or with an asset manager. It will give you the Do-It-Yourself confidence in managing your own money.

very Informative. I really enjoyed the book. I found it a very easy read, it was written for the average investor, nothing complicated. It touched on a lot of subjects that I was interested in. Timeless Advice. The lessons in this book revolve around the core fundamentals of how to be a successful investor, and lives up to its title. It is a short read, and gets right to the point while covering all the basics. While there is nothing revolutionary, Speziale presents tried and true principles that are compiled from investing giants like Buffet and Graham. It is a testament that anyone can become a successful investor by starting small and playing it smart.

Lessons in Good, Short Bursts. This book teaches you 85 important lessons in investing in short bursts. The book is well written and provides a great introduction to investing as well as a good collection of tips and facts for veteran investors.

Recommended. While I enjoyed this matter of fact book -- not much for style, just a series of quickly stated points -- it is kinda funny that the author kept going back to blackberry as a hot stock and their phones as a hot trend. The market doesn't like them much just a year after this ebook was written, and I think it's safe to say that they exemplify the company that needs to change it's model fast.
