Yes!. Ignore those ignorant blokes who say this book is rubbish! It's fantastic. I love the Disney movie and it's a real treat to see where it all came from. Superb. And it's free :)

A classic!!. This ageless classic is simple enough to intrigue a child, but it has symbolism and depth that will challenge the most careful of scholars.

The Jungle Book. Having seen the multiple adaptations by Disney (yet to see the version by Serkis) I decided to finally read it. Aside from the poem If, I don’t recall reading anything directly by Kipling. I know I’ve read Rikki Tikki Tavi but an abridged version which is odd because it’s already a short story. Only three of the stories deal with Mowgli. The others are all animal based with poems following. They often compliment the story and are briefly mentioned in them. There’s a reason why Rudyard Kipling is considered a master of the English language. You can find out for yourself by reading this collection of stories.

This book was great.. This book is a book you need to read in chunks, but after you finish them, you're glad you took the time to read them. Don't read to small children!!!! EVER.

Ok. This book was good but it had some adult content or language in it, but overall it was ok.

AWFUL!!. I hated it it was long and boring.

Very good, but hard to understand just a little bit. I really enjoyed this book, however the language needs a second or two to understand.

Awesome. Yah, this book is amazing, read it out of curiousity and it was expertly put together and a nice change from the Disney movie. Loved both though!

Warning: only an Abridged version.. It was not the full book, a very short version of the masterpiece. I liked it, but feel, cheated. The full tale is far better.

Excellent writing but incomplete version?. I enjoyed the writing & story but it seemed to end in the middle of......as if there were several chapters left to read. I had read some reviews before selecting which Jungle Book to read & at that I just guessed at which version to choose. I never knew that would be a problem. Certainly not by hundreds of pages! If I choose another version, will I read a more complete book or a whole different book? I think I'll just go to the book store for this one.

Missing. I love this story, but at least half of Mogli's story is missing. I have a rather old copy of this story, and the story of the war animals and the seals was not in it.

Amazing. It's so sad seeing so many ignorant kids reviewing this. Rudyard Kipling is an amazing author and wrote so many great stories into this. I really hate how so many people think of only the Disney version when the Jungle Book is mentioned (which is nothing like this book, at all). Great book, more people need to be reading this.

Jungle talk. It is a very nice book to read but it has got three problems, one is that it has to many pages and that it has no pictures and that it isn't a free audiobook.

Classic. Haven't got the book on my iPad but I am reading the actual book it's interesting I haven't read it all but I think I know all the characters the only reason I wrote this was because I was bored there is not much to do in bed this isn't perfect but it's still a classic

If. If you haven't read this book then please find time to do so. It's amazing to read Kipling's observations of human and animal behaviour especially during that era . It evokes the Far East and the lifestyle of those both native and foreign. Remarkable observation and narration. I knew of Jungle book and knew some of the characters and promised myself I would read it all one day. Make yourself the same promise...and keep it.

Dont waste your time. I guess it was a nice book back in last century, but it is absolutely horrible now. TBH, I dont think it was about the law of jungle, rather it's law of human. I’m not sure if someone feels the same, but the anthropocentrism make me sick so I swear I’ll never open this book again. I stopped at page 100 and just can’t keep reading it. Just think about it, by what right does a 10-year-old human child have the power to scare off all other creatures through a stare in the eye?

Loved it! (Especially Bagheera). I think it’s an amazing book. My favourite character is definitely Bagheera. I think the people complaining that you have to read it instead of listening to it should really just get a brain because are you kidding me? The whole point of a book is to read it! That really annoys me. Anyway, it’s a really great book and Bagheera is the best.
