Good read. Good read

Awesome! If you know what you're reading.... This book is meant to be informational rather than narrative despite the fact that it details some narrative stories and anecdotes. It's purpose is to be a sort of all encompassing encyclopedia of Greek mythology and it does this extremely well. It is meticulously detailed and elaborate, and will most definitely entertain and capture you if you're appreciate what it offers! A worthwhile read! Though not a lazy one to be certain.

It's what the title says. The low ratings are from idiots who's favorite genre of literature is comic books.

Great book. Has everything you need to know about mythology

Ehhh. This book is not very good since they mix up the roman and Greek Gods and goddesses in the story also it's really boring and waaayyy to long, there are some useful things but there's a majority of errors in the stories

Great read. This is a great intro to Greek myths & also a nice read for those more familiar bits broken up into mini backgrounds as well as full stories.

Torture. This book is so long and Boring I thought I would slam my head in a door

It took me nine weeks to finish this book.. I was told to read a random book, and only read thirty pages per day. I found a random book about Greek mythology, and I thought "why not?" I started reading, only to find out that the book is almost a thousand pages long. It was good.

Indubitably impressive.. The author and his here and/or affiliates must have put QUITE a bit of effort into this. Kudos. Kudos, indeed.

Ancient Greek and Roman myths. This book basically tells you every mythical fact of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. I just love it!!

Thorough intro to Greco-Roman Mythology. For the layman or student interested in the mythology, heroes, and culture of those ancient, founding societies this is a great introduction. In explanation, the author describes links between relations of gods and the thinking behind them (e.g. Athene, who burst from Zeus's head, represents his noblest instincts minus his weaknesses). Emphasizes the differences between similar Greek and Roman deities (e.g. Zeus vs. Jupiter). Puts gods in the contexts of their characteristics, temples in actual cities, ways they were worshipped, etc.
