Wonderfull story. Could not put this book down. Filled with so much adventure and imagination. Maybe a little bit long, but well worth the adventure.

Swiss Family Robinson. Beautifully written, fanciful story of a shipwrecked family making the most of their situation with a combination of skill, persistence, and luck. Worth reading a few times.

Ok but I've read better. Like the title says

Horrible book. What kind of message are teachers trying to send by making students read a book about a family that believes not only in brutality but doesn't respect the native people or animals around them. They do this in the name of their religious beliefs, not once pausing to think of their implications on the island. This is so not a children's book.

Classic but….. I found the story. Ten years of the same thing. Just the name of the plants and animals changed.

Not a good translation said I. Reads like a computer translated it from German to English.

Swiss family Robenson. I love this book. It has plenty of action and fun engaging tails. Anyone that loves adventure and fiction.

Hmmm. It always switches between calling the female dog Juno or Flora. In fact, on the same page, in the same paragraph, the dog was called Flora, then Juno. Problematic, a little.
