Novella. I do not believe you can download this on Rachael Vincent's page for free any longer, but I could be wrong about that. I would like to point out another review that said this was too short. This is a prequel novella...Novella's are stories that are too long for short stories (usually 10k words) & too short for novels (usually about 80k words). Tod is a key character in this series, so this is just adding a little backstory & giving us more insight to his character.

Too short. The story line of this book was great but at 189 pages the book was WAY too short.

Entertaining read.. I enjoyed the story. Maybe I'll check out the other books.
