THE BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN!. EVER..

Ultimate Survival. I must admit I was not a La Toya fan before I read her book. I'm glad to have read her testament of her survival of brutal abuse and mind control by her then manager and ex-husband. She shares her desire to find her inner goddess voice to escape her situation and to rebuild her life and career. She writes of her faith in God and the unbelievable ability to forgive. La Toya gives a glimpse into the love of her family and her special bond with her megastar brother the late Michael Jackson. I am in awe of her strength and perseverance.

Didn't Like. The book had me crying-until a couple chapters later all the time she could have left, The Jackson Family reach out over and over yet she kept saying he made me do this, he force me in public to do that, I'm sorry I read true stories about children risk their life to find helps way from their own parents. Sound like she want this book to be a movie on Lifetime. Ps if my husband just got threw beating me and the cops question me like in the book,or letting me use the phone talking to family I woulda been screaming to the high heaven.

TOP FIVE BOOK EVER READ!!. Anyone who has ever had something negative to say about Latoya and or The Jackson Family should take the time to read this book. You will have a different understanding of truly what good people they are with the same obstacles the average person goes through. Hopefully after finishing the book you will think twice about being so quick to judge. Bravo Latoya!!

It was good. It gave a insight on being Michael's jackson older sister, This book gives you a different perspective on her life & Michael's as well! I think Latoya jackson had an interesting life, she experienced lots of tribulations (although some sounded embellished with a touch of over exaggeration) However it's her story so I'm gonna let her tell it,therefor if all of her information is true, She is very strong(most people probably would had committed suicide) It's also inspiring how she triumphed over domestic violence, a controlling spouse, public humiliation and a extremely bad situation in general (although it shouldn't had took her as long as she did to finally move on to a healthier lifestyle by getting away from Gordon) which makes her lucky that he didn't hit her one time to many resulting in the lost of her life!! So I said all that to say this, Miss Jackson's book is something I'd recommend to a friend! IN LOVING MEMORY OF MICHAEL JOSEPH JACKSON, MAY THE KING OF POP REST IN PARADISE!!

Starting over. I was simply consumed with this book. I could not put it down. I have always been intrigued with the Jackson family but especially since Michael died. My heart was broken when I heard the news, it was one of those moments when you remember where you were, who you were with and what you were doing. I became consumed with all the news coverage, as did my then 8 year old son. He now is OBSESSED with Michael Jackson as anyone who knows him will attest to that fact. I took him to see This Is It. I know that you, La Toya did not approve of the film, but as fans, we so appreciate having those last moments of him to watch anytime we want. Thank you for sharing your heart and your life, and confirming what so many of us believe to be true about the conspiracy. I am so sorry you endured such horrendous abuse at the hands of Jack Gordon. I am so glad you made it out alive! FABULOUS autobiography! I'm just sorry I've finished it. H. Myers

Riveting. You walk away with a better understanding of Latoya, her family and her upbringing. I finished the book with compassion for her, her life, and yes, her brother, Michael. A great read for the beach, a plane ride, or anytime you like to read.
