Not worth the read. I felt this book was more about the author attempting to prove her importance to john and carolyn rather than a book about her experiences or even friendship with them. Seriously, almost every page has some token justifying that the author was somehow more important to the couple then others were. She worked for john for 5 years and equates herself to family? I felt there was no real information revealed in this book and most of her assertions seem quite far fetched at best.

Fairy Tale Interrupted. Captivating story of a personal journey. While I expected to learn more about John, Rosie shared just enough that honored his life but gives tid bits on his personality. This book is really about one woman's perseverance in life amidst a fairy tale life of a modern day knight. She was the reality check to the dragons of fire in New York city. I loved the constant reminders throughout the book of what people and life are really about. Excellent book for woman's studies. High recommendation,

Fast and easy read. The story is as much about the author as John Kennedy Jr. I would have preferred more about him than the author. In someways it was sad to read how devoted the author became to her job and to him. She appeared to give up her own sense of self and purpose to her job. Her unbalanced life ultimately led to her depressing state after his terrible death.

Good read. Read this in two sittings. One will never truly know what happened in that small plane on that fateful night. I appreciate the non-sensationalism here, just raw feelings from a woman who was almost family to John and Carolyn. The aftermath of RMT's crawl back to life could have been fleshed out more for my taste, but I think there is enough pathos here to make anyone reading this account feel it through the heart. It isn't so much a story of JFK, Jr. It is that of a woman who worked her way up with tenacity, humility, blood and sweat. RMT gave up her life for her work and the hole the deaths of Frank, John, Carolyn, and then her father created was palpable.

Heartfelt and refreshingly honest...... Rose Marie tells a beautifully relatable story. She writes with, wit, honesty and humility. You sense her growth through her pain, loss and joy. She brings John Jr. and Carolyn to life and shows the depth that out siders are rarely privy to. Bravo, Rosie and carry on!

It's a Memoir about Who??? Book is Misleading. I don't know why this book has anything to do with John or Carolyn. That could have been summed up in 5 pages. All the author had to write about was herself and ........who is she??? Very disappointed in this narcissistic book. It seems she was and is obsessed with both John and Carolyn and thought she was having a three way relationship - which her employers could have and probably would have turned off at any time if she wasn't such a interfering babysitter/marriage counselor. I can see by the acknowledgments that the book is all about her. The book is very misleading and should have had a cover photo and title that was all about the author because that's what it was.....about what's her name.

Couldn't put it down!. This book was wonderful-true insider information in a read that has just enough detail on the subjects one would be interested in. Well done & highly recommended!

Fairy tale interrupted. I loved the book. But, I was surprised by RoseMarie's real speaking voice and continuous wild hand gesticulations.......like she was signing for the deaf.

Fairy Tale Interrupted. This is a beautifully written book. The subject of the book makes you buy it but the author makes you love it and her as well. The way she writes this story makes you feel like you are there seeing all the things she is writing about. Made me cry for her,for John and Carolyn and for all of us who felt a connection to them. Who knew.... John Kennedy was such a complex yet kind person? Who knew his wife, Carolyn, was such a generous soul? Well, Rosemarie did... and she has written a fascinating memoir detailing the life and lives they shared.

Great read!!. The author did an incredible job using her voice to express her story. Amazing read and I highly recommend this to everyone who wants an insite to how quickly life can change.

Repetitive, self-absorbed and self-promotional. A truly loyal friend and employee wouldn't publicize the private life of a friend posthumously.

Read it in one sitting. It was an enjoyable read but heartbreaking at times, especially at the end. I'm not old enough to remember the impact of his death, but I can't help but wish they were still a part of this world. You can really sense the author's loyalty, and I'm sure she still holds so many of the couple's secrets that she wouldn't dare touch upon in her book. I was really captivated the whole way.

Courage. It takes enormous courage to carryon after a tragedy of epic proportions. You brought to life the real people behind the headlines in a compassionate way It’s obvious John Kennedy didn’t just hire a smart Alec Italian girl from the Bronx. July / John. My Dad died September 29, 1999, my life spiraled to a life of numbness, for I had lost my best and closest friend. I know sorrow, and know that John was speaking the truth when he said,"Life is for the living", but all wisdom is lost in that moment of pain as we face life alone. That summer of '99' was spent visiting my Father in the hospital, not knowing it would be his last, and having a few weeks vacationing with my children along the coast of Massachusetts I acted most selfishly without knowing it. Playing the juggler of keeping everyone happy and spending time with each person of my family making sure of being sure .!! As I finished reading your book tonight I sat alone thinking how real you have made it all seemyour unselfish sharing of your life with JFK jr is a gift to me, bringing back memories of that hot July day.You see th e night before my Dad had asked me to stay over at the hospital with him, In desperation to get back to my vacation at the ocean with my children , I teemed "I can't do this" and ran out of the hospital ! The next day , after a sleepless night lost to tears , I dragged my tired heart out onto the warm morning sand to smell and be comforted by the blue Atlantic . That day my heart was to be broken again. I will never forget the day John's plane went into that same water , that a day before seemed so calming to my stress filled life. I will miss John and what could of been if he had not died that day ... My Father was much more seriously I'll than I wanted to believe thus always regretting not staying over that night at the hospital when he asked me to . We never forget the loves that are gone , but their wisdom does make each day brighter for each of us. Thank you for this incredible time spent getting to know you , as well as Caroline and John on a level that would of been impossible for me if not for your book ! Great... Quick...entertaining read. I really loved this book very great perspective on some modern history!! Loved her sense of humor very sarcastic and real!!

Nice and insightful, most of all a true account. I enjoyed the book. Sure, it wasn't a literary masterpiece nor was it an in-depth analysis of JFK Jr. But having understood the boundaries of the book, I really enjoyed reading about JFK Jr.. Even if it was a small glimpse into who he was it was a real glimpse nevertheless. The book really humanized him. I did skip through some personal passages about the author, especially at the beginning, but it was just few pages in total. And I did like the author as a human being.

John. I was 10 when JFK WAS gun down in TX my mother cried for 2 weeks. John Jr was what my mom said was our last hope. Just what would our world be like if they where still here. The book was great it let us see into the real John. Thank you
