Alchemist. The second book is called the Magician. You're welcome, haven't read it but it looks good.

Recommended 100%!!!. The beginning of an amazing series! I can't wait for the final book to come out in May. Harry Potter fans and the like are sure to enjoy this story but it doesn't have anything on the Potter.

Read it. A must read couldn't put it down at least as good as Harry potter if not better

Just A Good Read. Fantasy Adventure has always spoken volumes to me. 35 years later and fiction such as The Alchemist, just resonates with me. Filling my man/young-adolescent dreams with answers and possibilities for the question I have always asked, “what if these Fictions of grand adventure and good vs. evil fantasy is based on truth,” and if so, “how would the truth be brought up to 20th century comprehension?” This book and series, just makes those questions to finally have an answer. Albeit a spectacular and far-fetched adventure with facts pulled to give the story a surreal credibility. I love it and will continue to recycle this series till I can no longer pick up a book. Glad I discovered this series 9 years ago.

Must start the series!. This book..is amazing! I’ve never read a good series bbesides the warrior cats. This series is a must read because the beauty thqat hold perenelle into her cell… in the end perenelle was stuck in Dee’s cell while Nicholas Flame. TRAVELS TO PARIS WITHOUT SAVING PERENELLE! If PERENEELEE ISNT SAVE BY THE SECOND BOOK I WILL GIVE THE BOOK 1 STAR BECAUSE PERENELLE IS COOL AND SHE MSUTNYT STAY BEHIND! I LOVE THE SCENE WHEN PERENELLE LITS DEES CAR ON FIRE BECAUSE SHE WAS PRISONER BUat OH NOOO THAT WWASNT ENOUGH FOR DEE SHE WAS CAPTURED AGAIN AND I WILL NØT LET DEE SURVIve HHAHAH

Easy read. It was an easy read, but not too much went on in the first book. It was Over the span of only a few days and not too much happened. Nonetheless, the ending of the book enticed me to read the second book, which I purchased today.

Spectacular book. As a teenage guy seeing the wave of supernatural lore flowing in, it's refreshing to read a book that can take a premise like a coffee shop and turn it into a riveting read that you'll stay up all night for. If you won't buy immediately, at least give a sample, it's worth it.

Great series. I'm 22 and I work at a middle school. I bought this book for one of my students and ended liking it myself. It's a fun read you won't be able to put down the series. My student and I are waiting for the fifth book to come out this summer.

Wow. I was worried about this book. At the beginning it was how I expected it to be; Nothing special then it amazed me how great it turned out to be. It's creative and keeps getting better. I had this book read in a few days and I'm ready for the next one!

Abysmal. I recommend not starting this series. Michael Scott threw in every myth and legend possible into a boiling stew of garbage. Character development is non-existent, the story from book one through six is lazy and inconsistent, and the dialogue is terrible. I read this entire series in search of something decent for my teenage daughter but failed. I would look elsewhere.

Best Series Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I absolutely love this series!!! It's my favorite book!!!!! There were a lot of surprises in the books. And I really like the ending! The book might be a little boring in the first few pages, but as u read, it became better and better. U should really read it!

Amazing. This book was absolutely hands down amazing, I have never sat down and read a book cover to cover and this was the first, it kept me so intrigued the whole time, the storyline makes you want to never stop reading, nothing more to be said except Michael Scott is an exceptional author, and I thank him for helping me find the passion in reading.

Where's the rest?. I really enjoyed this book, couldn't put it down. But what happened to the rest of the story? I certainly don't mind buying the rest of the story but there are no instructions or guidelines on how to acquire it. I would give this book a 5 star if I read the whole thing. Please help!

Loved it. This is one of the best books I’ve read. I was so intrigued at all times while reading it. I loved how the author incorporated so many legends and myths in the book, it was so beautifully mixed together.
