So lovely!. I love this series, the story tellingl and character developments are absolutely captivating. Somehow Diana can rally you behind any character's cause, and the way she expresses Claire and Jamie' love will make your heart melt! She can get a bit too descriptive at times with the scenery depictions, but its worth skimming through because the story line is just phenomenal!

Not nearly as good as Outlander. I wasn't impressed with the 2nd book. I thought a lot of the scenes dragged and there was too much unnecessary descriptions. It felt like more quantity than quality of writing. There wasn't as much romance as I would have liked. I was hoping to find out more about Brianna. I wish most of it wasn't written in the first person due to the sheer number of pages. It just felt like something was missing in the book and I'm not compelled to see how the series ends. This didn't feel as epic as Outlander.

My favorite. This is my favorite from the whole Outlander series. It’s gut wrenching & beautiful!!

Tears for Those Lost. I have never read as much passion and emotion placed before me in narrative. Aye, it is the spiritual relationship of Jamie Fraser and Claire that takes you on another dimension. My tears run and my emotion bereft as the lines unfold in this historical novel. I cannot fathom the brutality of the times, and the essence of each soul enraptures my own. Clearly it is an ongoing journey that will torment and enlighten as history unfolds itself through the eyes of two soul mates bound eternally .

Dragonfly in Amber. This is a wonderful sequel to the first book in the series by Diana Gabaldon, 'Outlander'. If you like historical fiction, with a time travel twist, this book is sure to delight. There are plenty of references to characters from the first book so you will not feel lost in the reading of it. I can't wait to continue the journey with Jaime, Clair, Brianna and Roger through more Scottish and English history in the next book in the series by Ms. Gabaldon, 'Voyager'.

Error really?. When these updated all the pages say now is page error. The same goes for copy of Outlander.

Best book ever. I absolutely love this book and the subsequent books. Jamie and Claire are always in the back of my mind ever since outlander. One of the best, most detailed love stories for the ages. I also love the author's way of including history into the love story to get a great feel for the times and how true their love is.

Dragonfly in amber. Just as good ad the Outlander. No dull pages in the whole book. Plan to read the Voyager soon.

Compelling. Diana Gabaldon is a marvelous writer, a wonderful storyteller. I thoroughly enjoy her books. I enjoy historical novels and this book is a very pleasurable read.

Speechless. How this author thinks these stories up is beyond me! It was a little slow going at times but is an amazing book that leaves you speechless and scrambling for the next book in the series. Wow! This is the kind of series you have to talk a friend into reading at the same time so you have someone to call and scream, "OMG did you read that part yet?!!" Amazing!

Dragonfly in Amber. Diana Gabaldon is an excellent author. The tension in this historical fiction keeps you turning pages from start to finish. Besides being richly entertained, you are educated as well.

The Fire of a Woman, and her Story. Through this, you begin to see the 20th century spark of a woman in the 18th century. She was called a witch and yet loved deeply by the only man who saw her for who she was. You cannot put this down. Not sappy romance. This is intrigue, battle and everything that keeps a person in times of uncertainty. I find both her and his strength, the true story of this series. This is what acceptance of another unconditionally looks like.

Dragonfly in Amber. This is the second book in the Outlander series. In this book you will find out what happens to Claire and Jaime while in France and the their adventures back in Scotland. Diana Gabaldon has a gift for making you feel like you are actually in these places. It takes place in the 17th Century and the details given make you see the time period in your minds eye.

Outlander Series. This is the second book of the series and it is as wonderful as the first. What a story! This is actually my third time reading it! This is the 20th anniv. of the first book.

Outlander/Dragonfly in Amber. This series is very gripping and holds you. It is such a wonderful love story mixed with a hero who is just magnificent,while having historic value as well thru time travel. Outlander is the one that grabs you and Dragonfly in Amber enhances that. You are connected with these characters from the start and become emotionally attached to them. Diana writes so vividly that you are transported in time and can imagine what life was like then. I have already gotten the third book,Voyager,and can't wait to continue to read this story. This is something I will continue to reread. Thank-you Diana for a marvelous story line. Enjoy this yourself while you discover reading Claire and Jamie's story.

Awesome. Second book in the series and I want to read the third

Must read but full of fluff. I was a huge fan of Outlander and couldn't wait to read this book and discover what happens next. I found this book to be incredibly slow moving but overall enjoyable. So even though I didn't enjoy it as much as the first, I still plan to continue with the series because I am definitely obsessed with Jamie Fraser and need to know how their love story continues.

Uncomfortable with homophobia in these books. I read the first two books in this series and was enjoying them as a guilty pleasure. Not amazing, but an easy fun read since I generally enjoy cheesy romantic historical fiction. I had to stop shortly into the third book when we encounter the THIRD gay villain. The author is clearly homophobic and I am not on board with that. I'm a little curious how they'll handle this on the tv series since I doubt they'll be able to (or wish to) get away with anti-gay plot lines, but not interested enough to support this author any more than I have.
