Mystic Lake. Extraordinary characters. I miss them already.

Loved the story. The transition between separate ideas and paragraphs was a bit off for Hannah. Maybe the editing? Regardless, I enjoyed the story but it needed to be tightened up a bit. Put *** between paragraphs to make the story flow better.

Too sappy for me. It was too much like a Hallmark movie after reading 2 of her other books with historical fiction that I loved.

Disappointed. I read Hannah’s The Nightingale last month and absolutely fell in love with her prose and ability to develop and reveal character personalities and histories, not to mention the amazing depiction of historical fiction she offered of WWII. On Mystic Lake, however, really left me disappointed. From predictable storylines to exceedingly sappy stereotypical housewife drama, I stopped less than a third of the way in. If you’re looking for more intellect, don’t bother with this one, read The Nightingale again.

Great book. Great book. Enjoyed reading it

It really needed an epilogue. Great story, but the ending felt unfinished.

Don’t bother. What was the author thinking? This was trite, predictable and boring.

Can't stop reading!. I am only halfway through this book but I cannot stop reading! Compelling and intriguing, this book is amazing. Hope to finish this novel by tonight and start another Kristin Hannah book (:

Great book!!!. The minute I started reading, I couldn’t put it down. I was in tears for Annie, Nick, Izzy and even Blake at the end. I’ve enjoyed every Kristin Hannah book I’ve ever read and this one did not disappoint.

Terrible. Extremely predictable but implausible storyline. Characters spent most of their time crying.

Excellent read. Another great book by Kristin Hannah. It’s amazing how Kristin has managed to create such a beautiful image of Annie. It’s a skill Kristin Hannah has and I love it! I also love Natalie/Nana’s personality. Kind of the Mirror that helped Annie find herself/recognize that she should not settle down for less than she deserves. Blake is a successful lawyer, but he is not good at showing his love/appreciating Annie. Nick, an old-time friend and who has just lost his wife, finds hope in Annie. An outstanding novel-I definitely recommend. Morton Rowling, author

A Harlequin Romance. ThIs book reads like a Harlequin romance. I can’t believe Kristin Hannah actually wrote this.

Profound. Written here There are lessons to be learned by so many kind, selfless women in the world. Beautiful story and so full of true love and courage.
