Thought provoking story. I really enjoyed reading this book! I looked forward to picking it up and seeing what was going to happen next and how things were going to work out. After reading 'The Book Thief', I was excited to read another story from Mr. Zusak. Now I'm looking forward to reading his other ones!

Corny. Good prose corny story

Best Book Ever. This book was brilliant!!!!!!! Markus Zusak's signature poetic style never fails to draw you in. Along with a story that goes through all the emotions in the book, I Am The Messenger delivers a much needed message that has the potential to be life-changing.

Read it. This book has such a beautiful message, it's so poetic in its style of writing. All the good stuff happens towards the end. So stick with it!

Don't start it unless you intend to finish it!. Probably the best zusak book made I honestly plan adding this book to my library for my IPod. The book kept me on the edge of my seat trying to find out what happens. I recommend this book for anyone who is looking for something amazing. Or who like Zusak books.

Best Read in Years. To all who are contemplating this book - think no longer and only read it. This is quite possibly the best book I have ever read. At least in the last 10 years! I laughed, I cried, I turned into myself and sought for answers outside; all within 396 pages. You will not be disappointed and quite possibly may be made a different person from reading this work of art. Zusak is amazing and I will read more by him, of that you can be certain! Good luck and have fun!

Messenger. A solid book by an exceptionally gifted writer. He does things with words and images that can’t be learned or taught. Some of his sentences will leave you in awe. The story has a nice set up and payoff. We’ll see how long it sticks with me, but my guess is not long.

A slow crescendo but totally worth it. I first read The Book Thief, which was beautiful and prompted me to explore more of the author's work. It took me a while to get into The Messenger because of its slow pace in the beginning and actually prompted me to put it down for a few days before giving it another shot. Much to my pleasure, the book did not disappoint; I found myself up to the wee hours engrossed in what led our protagonist to his next message. While certainly adept to teen- reading, this book will touch the soul of all ages.

Best book I've read. I hate reading, but this book didn't have a dull moment. I think it ended to soon. Don't know what it would be about but there needs to be a second part. Please read this book. It's actually very funny and exciting.

WONDERFUL!!!. It was very great!!!! I am 13 years old and I have never wanted a book to keep going on so badly. I loved it. The smart remarks, the detail, and most of all the love :). I love you mr. Zusak :D

Satisfying read. This is an excellent coming-of age novel. It's funny, sweet, sad, romantic and thrilling all at once. I purchased a paperback copy in middle school and wore it out before high school. I highly recommend.

Great book. This book is probably one of my all time favorites. I couldn't stop reading it! It is probably inappropriate for ages under 14 because there is a lot of sex talk and cussing.

Excellent. Good book, got me an A+ on my English final report (by choice, that is), and overall... I like it. It has a good exposition, nice action mixed with some easy calm areas, plus an amazing ending. Overall an amazing book, and I hope at least 1 person reads this review and decides, “Hey, this kid liked this book. I’m going to read it”.

Poorly Written, interesting nonetheless. This is a book I would dain to recommend anyone read based on the quality of the language, poor plot and character development, and the author's somewhat illogical conclusions. Truly a teacher's nightmare! However, I do find the latter part of the book to have some redeeming value; syntax and plot improve slightly and the overall "message" is good, however cheesy.
