Brian's Return Book Reviews
Brian's Return by Gary Paulsen Book Summary
Brian returns to the wilderness to discover where he truly belongs in this follow-up to the award-winning classic Hatchet from three-time Newbery Honor-winning author Gary Paulsen!
As millions of readers of Hatchet, The River, and Brian's Winter know, Brian Robeson survived alone in the wilderness by finding solutions to extraordinary challenges. But now that's he's back to ordinary life, he can't make sense of high school life. He feels disconnected, more isolated than he did alone in the north woods. How can Brian discover his true path in life, and where he belongs? The answer is to return.
Gay Paulsen skillfully explores the meaning of belonging and purpose, and reminds us of a crucial rule of the wilderness: expect the unexpected.
“Bold, confident and persuasive.” —Publishers Weekly, Starred
“Paulsen bases many of his protagonist’s experiences on his own, and the wilderness through which Brian moves is vividly observed.” —Kirkus Reviews, Starred

Good book. It was a great book!
Fantastic. I love the Brian series so much. This was the perfect ending to the whole thing. All the books seemed way too short.
I disagree. This plays along perfectly with the Brian series. But if u do like some of the brian books than u should read the Tucket books also by Gary and I think those are awsome!!! U should give those a try.
Pointless book..... There was really no point to this book in the Brian series. Also, I didn't like how the author portrayed Brian in this installment; he made Brian come off as if he's better than everyone else because of his adventure in the Canadian wilderness. I felt like that wasn't the REAL Brian. I was very disappointed in this book to say the least. I really expected a lot more!
Plz read this. I thought this book was way to short. It made Brian look like he was better than everybody because of his adventure. There was no point to having this book in the series. JK this book was really cool. I though it was good and recommend to anyone who likes to read.
Amazing. Really liked it. This series is amazing I’m definitely going to read the next book, Brians Hunt
Amazing. I'm only 13 and I love these books. I don't like to read at all once so ever, but this is an amazing series of books.
Amazing book. It was a great and amazing book . But I did have something bothering me -- it was that he did not take the hatchet I would have been even better if the author had given him the hatchet. Still an overall great book a must read.
Brian’s winter. Loved it want there to be another book
Best Series EVER!. I've read the whole series so far, and I'm telling you, it is the best series that I have ever read!
Brains return. It was the best serise I've ever read
Brilliant but waaaaaay short. Gary Paulsen's writing in this installment of Brian's epic tale is brilliant, descriptive and captivating. There just isn't nearly enough of said writing in this book. Everything seems very very rushed. Almost as though Paulsen couldn't wait to be done with the series. Short stories are fine, but not when one pays the price of a full novel. Brian's entire epic should be one book. Not 5 different short stories that are $10 each. All in all Brian's Return is a good read, but somehow falls way short of satisfying.
