Thirteen moons. Booooooring. I couldn’t get through it
Thirteen Moons by Charles Frazier’s wonderful panorama of the post Civil War period in novel. form as told by a southern Caucasian boy indentured to a part Indian in the south st the age of 12. The novel chronicles almost a hundred of his life, his adventures in growing up as a member of the tribe, his first love, and as a self educated lawyer who protects the tribe from removal from their ancient lands.
So good. Super well written.
Excellent!. Mr. Frazier is one of the best storytellers of our times, weaving in historical events with his rich imagination to create this wonderful book. He manages to make our American history come alive with characters that seem so real that you can imagine yourself right along with them as they experience tragedy or great joy. This is the second book that I've read by Charles Frazier, and I'll continue to be a loyal reader with his outstanding novels.
