Great Series, Awful Ending. I really loved reading this whole series. It was exciting and brilliant. That is, until the ending. Not only was it rushed, and failed to answer many of the nagging questions that plagued readers, but it killed off the one character that shouldn't have been killed. Thomas was being irrational the whole book, and the ending did nothing but magnify that. Kudos to Dashner for coming up with the ideas for this brilliant series but honestly the ending was just plain horrible...he could have done so much better. A true disappointment.

Phenomenon. This book was absolutely, positively one of the best books I’ve ever read. But I would have not had Newt die if it were up to me. James did a really great job on writing the book. And I absolutely freaking love Thomas Brodie- Sangster!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I think he did an amazing job in his role as Newt❤️💜💚💙❤️

Maze Runner Death Cure. Maze Runner Death Cure is a book written by James Dashner. In the beginning of the book Thomas is in solitary confinement. Thomas is later released by Janson a.k.a the rat man. As soon as Thomas is released he meets his friends Minoh, Brenda, Teresa, and Newt. In the end of the book Thomas and his friends escape WICKED and arrives in paradise.

I’m sorry.. The scorch trials was one of the best books I have ever read and maze runner was good too, sadly this book was a huge letdown. 1: the setting is so depressing and broken it was hard to read without wanting to ask the author why he decided to make a problem that wasn’t fixable 2: Tomas and Brenda carried this book. There ship is what kept me reading. SPOILERS 3: the fact that Teresa sacrifices her self is great but the solution to the whole series was a magic door to a perfect world. I was very disappointed and confused.

Great book!. It over all was excellent but he ending wasn't the best. I was already sad that the series was coming to a end but the actual end was poorly wrote. :/ still like it tho

Loved the other ones, but.... I mean, from the page where you find out, you know where it's going. Then the whole book is just about waiting for it to happen. This book ruined the series, the book after it, and I wouldn't touch a book for about 4 days after the infamous page (I won't spoil the number). My advice is to skip this one, pretend that there was a happy ending where nobody else dies, and read the kill order (which was equally as painful always talking about cranks and such). Plus, in the kill order you made everyone love and admire T..... but in the death cure... well I think she should have lived. And plus, (spoiler alert) THERE IS NO FREAKING CURE!!! WHY WOULD YOU CALL A BOOK THE DEATH CURE IF THERE IS ONLY DEATH?!?! Sincerely, Cadence😺 a.k.a. mckenziecadence 🚨Spoilers Below! (sort of)🚨 P.S. Darn it Dashner they were my two favorite characters. Screw Brenda. Despite this book, I'm still looking forward to the fever code and TST movie. FANTASTIC ENDGAME (but also a sad closing😭). I’ve been reading maze runners for a few years now and I have never stopped loving it!!!❤️ James Dashner wrote fantastically. Newt’s emotions were screaming at you the whole time which was heartbreaking to read💔 Page 250… no one can say that number without me just sobbing in the background😅🥺 The ending for me personally was a little weird and I felt as if Teresa’s last part was just kind of “… oh well.” Readers, you know what I mean. This whole book series was amazing and you could feel the emotions of the characters really well I thought the movies were also well done and the delivery was spot-on! When I had first read the book, I could clearly picture the characters and when I watched the movies, I was like “that’s exactly how I pictured them!” All in all, a great series❤️❤️ Thank you James Dashner for such an amazing series!! Have anymore ideas for a continuation for this…?😏😂 Thanks again!

AMAZING (spoiler warning!!). Amazing book, I enjoyed this final addition to the trilogy much more than the second. I felt that it was more engaging and had spent less time explaining lore, and more time with action and really emotional scenes. (spoiler) I cried my goddamn heart out when my favorite character died, the fact that he had to be a control was so heartbreaking. I thought that the author’s foreshadowing of his death was amazing, it was enough that I was aware that N probably wouldn’t make it to the end, but I was still caught completely off guard emotionally when he started yelling KILL ME. Overall it was such an amazing read, and a great end to the trilogy!

Don’t recommend. I loved the first book but after that I think the scorch trials and the death cure just progressively got worse and worse. I had like 30 pages left of the death cure and I was so close to just dnf-ing it because of how bad it was. And I feel like the ending didn’t make much sense either- like how could things just all the sudden take a turn like that and everything is just fine now? Idk over all I think the series had a lot of potential in the beginning and the plot was really good but it just wasn’t written well.

It shows a true dystopian/apocalyptic world. Makes me soo grateful for my life. Really makes you think too. Some parts where soo unpredictable i was freaking out!! Almost there. I agree with most of the reviewers: I laughed, I cried, I cried again... yeah, I cried a lot at this one. I also finished it in probably three days or so. It was intriguing. James Dashner is a master of suspense—one of the best I’ve seen. And I’m a literary nerd, so that’s something! However... I feel like Thomas’s personality wasn’t meant for this type of conflict. He’s more emotional my nature, and he’s pitted against an antagonistic force that uses those emotions for their own gain, so Thomas sort of lost his personality halfway through the series... which was sad, because he was my favorite character before this. 😔 Also, I feel like there wasn’t any plot or theme. Unless it was supposed to be a tragedy story; but I don’t think that was the case. Alas—this could’ve been so incredible. The first book was perfect 👌

I can't believe it. This was a good series. But it killed way to many characters I came to love throughout the series. This series started off strong but died down drastically in every other book and disappointed me more than ever. I just wish the ending was better and less depressing. 😔

Meh… u still need to read it. To be flat honest with you… this book sucked. Like this book is literally the WORST in the series. Like, all the other book are freaking fantastic EXCEPT this one. However, if you want to progress and read the other books… this is unfortunately a must read. Kinda like how “The Book of Boba Fett” series on Disney+ is essential to watching BEFORE you see Mandalorian season 3 (guess this example is only helpful if your a Star Wars person). Over all, pretty lame book even though it is the final. All the other books after this are amazing, there’s only ONE other book in this series - besides this one that I’m currently complaining about- that I felt kinda “meh” about, but not nearly as much as this one. You still need read it anyways. Two star for me.

Amazing. I watch the 2nd movie and read the book those are amazing too but it's a huge cliff hanger I am dying for the third movie to come out and I was like I'm gunna read the book so I got it and I'd like to say best book ever can't wait for the movie nothing is better.

Rushed. I enjoyed the first book along with the second book far more than the 3rd. The ending was very rushed. I feel like him and Teresa should have worked out, I was really sad when she died. I just feel like Thomas should have been with Teresa and not Brenda. Also it just made me kind of upset when all the people started dying. But hey it's a book about survival, maybe I should just go read Twilight instead if I'm all concerned about Romance.

Everything that can go wrong, does. If you want a book that everything goes wrong in, read this one. I don't think I will read the prequel.

I love this series and this book!. I thought it was amazing, and the reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is..(This is kinda petty but, sue me then lol) IT IS SO DEPPRESSING! From start to finish. I practically cried my way through this book. Also, them going back to the maze to save people! That hurt me, honestly, it just hurt. Also the losses, by the way, the fact that WICKED CREATED THE FLARE! I am so ANGRYYYYYYYYY! Although, this whole series is a ten 10/10 but if you liked the first two, then grab a box of tissues lol.

The Death Cure. This series was phenomenal. Every single page was so well written, it blew me away. Never have I ever been so invested in a group of characters than I was in Thomas and the other Gladers. It was a perfect end to a perfect story. WICKED is good...

Death cure?. Where do I begin? This book is good and interesting however didn't have a resolution. According to the events that transpire in this novel it doesn't support its title The Death Cure making it kind of moot. The events that DO transpire seem very weird and the storyline is kind of all-over the place. There's no central plot, no actual goal. And the setting seems ridiculous. From an unknown location to Denver then back to that location then back to Denver, it seems very confusing. Another thing is the absence of most of the characters like Teresa and Aris and those Group B girls like Sonya and Harriet. It seems like what's the point in their characters if they barely even appear. What I mean is, it wouldn't have made any difference if they died in The Scorch Trials since they barely have two lines in this book especially those Group B people (Aris, Sonya, Harriet). And then Gally resurfaces only to do nothing. So the only characters that have active roles are the main character (of course), Minho, Brenda, Newt, and that guy George(or whatever his name was). Anyway, aside from that, people claim there are too many deaths in this book, which makes me wonder if they even read the book or just heard rumors. Well it's wrong, only three characters die and one of them is bad so that really only makes two emotional deaths. I mean if you think three is a lot have you not read Mockingjay? And finally the resolution was just terrible, probably because there was none and they just ran away from their problems not solving anything. Total letdown. There was nothing that really made it a successful finale like with Mockingjay or The Deathly Hallows. So I give it two stars of five (because the deaths in the book made it interesting) and of the three books The Scorch Trials is my favorite. At least that one had a plot and a GOAL.

This book ties all strings and is very satisfying and i highly recommend this book to anyone who has already read maze runner and scorch trials.
