Fantastic book. Man, what a fantastic book. King really outdid himself this time: doing thorough research about the 50's and 60's, making the characters likeable, and for myself, being able to connect to the characters emotionally. Really great for people who like history, fiction, and even romance. I would give it 10/10 if I had the option, but 5 stars is all I can give!

Couldn't put it down. This was my first Stephen King novel and I couldn't put it down! It's intense and thrilling and I didn't want it to end. Some people seem to shy away from King because of his horror reputation but I think this had an great balance. Highly recommend!

Emotional entanglement on a circular journey. I’ve seen most, if not all of the film adaptations if King’s movies but this is the first book I’ve read of his. My God, this man is truly a masterful storyteller in any genre. The mixture of fate, love, and detailed planning on such a visceral scale is simply amazing. There’s no horror besides the power of fate and the sadness of choices in this novel. Please do yourself a favor and give this book a read. If you have any love for the art of storytelling in you, I’m positive you will love this as well.

King at his best.. Loaded with the usual King hooks, “ a band from Austin was playing and they were laying it down”. The red Christine Plymouth, the IT clown, always a mention of Shawshank. Back to Derry. Very good read.

Gripping read, highly recommended!. I was about to embark on a weeklong trip to Vienna, and knew that I would have some significant downtime during my flights and layovers. To find something to do during that time, I decided to purchase this book, and alas, the book was so gripping that I spent hours upon hours while in Vienna reading. This book caused me to waste my time in Vienna reading instead of exploring the city! Bad Stephen King, bad!

Never forget. Even though you know where this story is headed, be patient till you get to that part because you won't be able to put the book down. It's an interesting story of time travel, history, and a love story as well.

Long but very well written. Believe it or not, this was my first Stephen King novel. Besides the length, it was a very well written story. And I never saw the end coming. I thought I knew the ending but then there were a lot of pages left. Surprising ending. Well worth the read. Just don't expect to read it in one sitting. LOL

Wicked time traveling - Stephen King style. I have always been a fan of the time travel genre, but King takes you on his version, a ride of unknowns and creepiness.

Another 5 STAR!!. I have read every King book ever written and this one is one of my favorites! I don't read any others of this genre because I prefer more non fiction history and "literary" fiction. I loved that he chose the JFK assassination to meld with his unique style. This was a bit different than his usual and it was not disappointing! I hope he considers using this type again!

Time-travel story at its best. This is most certainly one of the most interesting, engaging, and downright fantastic books I have ever read. It kept me hooked all of the way through and I couldn't put it down. This adventure is one for the history books for sure. Now I'm looking into a new genre, time travel stories! Great book but… my paid copy is gone?. This was the first book I bought through Apple Books, for my iPad. I no longer have it. I wonder how many other books I’ve bought are gone or will vanish.

Amazing piece of time travel/alternate history. I love alternate history novels and have read many of them by some of the best. This is one of my favorite books of all time. I could not put it down.

One of his best. I haven’t read every King book but I have many and this one really grabs you from beginning to end despite not really being “scary”. The Hulu series was nice but no where near the depth of the book.

11/22/1963. I found this the most fascinating novel that I have read in a very long time. Not only will it be a favorite Stephen King novel but one of my very favorite ever by any author. That intrigue of the historical event tied with time travel just left me hanging as I read page after page.

Love this Story. Read this twice and I loved it more the second time around. Great plot and wonderful characters. Mr. King did it again.

Can’t stop reading. I have the hard cover which I have read 4 times and am considering a 5th. Every time I read it I discover something new. I love the various sub-plots, all of which add to the main plot. Mr. King has obviously thoroughly researched the history and characters as well as adding his own intuition, resulting in a great story. I haven’t read too many of his other books, but this is one I will keep on my shelf to read again.

I love this book!. I have read this book twice, maybe three times now, I never get tired of it. Every time I start into it, I have a hard time putting it dow. Absolutely one of my all time favorite books. Stephen King could not have written this any better!

Good fall read. This was a good book to take breaks from college studying. Although a tiny confusing sometimes, keeps me interested.

Wish I hadn't put it off. I bought this book when it was released and well life got in the way and I forgot about it. I absolutely loved this book. I couldn't put it down. After reading mostly horror novels by Mr king I was pleasantly surprised by this one.

My favorite King novel. I’ve enjoyed many of Mr. King’s works, but some are a slog to get through. This one was hard to put down, but I also didn’t want to rush through it. The timing (no pun intended) and pace of this book are nearly flawless. I highly recommend this novel.

History buff. If you’re a history buff plus a Stephen King fan like me…then this is the book for you, especially if you have conspiracy theory thoughts and concerns. This was my first novel by the legend that I read and I only bought it because I had just read “Killing Kennedy” and all of that knowledge was fresh on my brain and it DID NOT disappoint.

Broken Book. I guess this is the occasional problem with digital? Your purchased book can be "broken." No Chapter 6 after first page. Jumps to 7 which does same. Bummer. How do I get a new one?

Pleasantly surprised!. I picked this one up because of interest in the JFK plot line. I couldn’t put it down because of all of the other plot lines laid out, those captivated me even more than JFK’s. The biggest bonus was how SK “harmonizes” this story with characters and places from his other novels, notably “It”. I’m looking forward to watching how the mini series compares.

Best King ever written. Hands down, my favorite King novel. A must read!

Too bad it's finished!. Even though this book is over 1000 pages I finished it so fast, because it was so amazing! Many nights till 3am - couldn't put it down!

Great as always. Fascinating story. As always, Stephen King draws the reader in on the first page. Highly recommend this for a summer read.

Best Book I Have Ever Read. Brilliant!

Not a great ending. The ending fell off pretty quickly, given the length of the build up. The conclusion was somewhat predictably and could have gone one of two ways. The card man was unresolved. It was good title to draw you to the book, but the post assignation attempt should have been explored more and created more drama, given the context of time travel. Should leave the sci-fi writing to others. It is my first Stephen king novel, but I know his work and this one does not cut it for me..

A great read!. When King is on he is really on. A well crafted novel that does not feel overtly contrived. A real thumb swipper!

Another Great. Read this book over the christmas break and couldn't put it down. I was honestly a little bit skeptical as to how the book would turn out after just reading the inside flap. But was rewarded with a classic King novel. A great mind bending plot with intriguing characters. Enjoy!

11/22/63 by Stephen King. I had stayed away from King's novels for a while as he had entered a weird other worldly place I found annoying. With 11/22/63 I found myself immersed in a time that I only vaguely recalled as a young child. In this novel both the characters and era they are placed in are 3 dimensional. King takes historical figures and turns them into real living breathing people. Lee Harvey Oswald comes alive to the point where you feel it is you living next door to him. The changes that The Butterfly Effect exact are scary but credible. You will not be able to note want to put this great read down!

11/22/63. SK threw away the ending in a rush to finish the book. Most glaring hole in the narrative was the lack of explanation of the key players the gatekeepers at the doorways to the past and future. Who were they? How did they get there? If it was such a killer job why didn't they just quit? Simplest of all, what if they got the flu and couldn't show up for work?

Excellent. Entertaining, bright! It let you thinking: What if it was possible?

Not bad. I'm a pretty hardcore Stephen King fan, and also a fan of he Kennedy conspiracy theories. While I don't think this is his best book, it is still a solid 4 star effort. I thought he did some interesting things with the premise. Definitely worth the time and money to read.

Good read. Ah the complexities of time travel, the book seems like straight forward time travel genre but its more than that. It's one of the best books I've read. Stephen manages to work in a bit of suspense, mystery , romance and time travel all in one not to mention being historically accurate (for the most part) and have it all flow together flawlessly. I'd recommend this book to anyone. Read all 1000 pages in 2 days.

Brilliant!. If you love history and are fascinated with time travel, this book is a must read. I never wanted the tale of Jake Epping/George Amberson to end. The way it was told kept me wanting more, and I was extremely sad when I got to the end. Great read!. When I read an article relating to the book I immdiately went on iTunes and purchased it. Normally I am not a fan of Stephen King's horror based books but am an avid fan of time travel. Once the book was downloaded to my iPad, I became terribly addicted to reading it (normally on my one and half hour bus ride to work each morning). I hope Mr. King writes another "time travel" genre book which I will definitely purchase. Excellent read!

Spectacular. I am not normally a Stephen King reader, but this book stuck with me after I read the cover. It was a spectacular book, a truly original idea that was very well written.

Great as usual.... A thousand pages went by like nothing. Stephen King once more let us know why he is the greatest storyteller of the twenty and twenty -first century. Sometimes in his books, the end can be a little disappointing, but in this one, the end is just great, only comparable to The Dead Zone. Mr. King, thank you for a remarkable ride....
