Kill Shot by Vince Flynn Book Summary

#1 internationally bestselling author Vince Flynn delivers the young, hungry, and lethal Mitch Rapp at the onset of his career as a CIA superagent.

In the year since the CIA trained and then unleashed him, Mitch Rapp has been steadily working his way through a list of men, bullet by bullet. With each swift and untraceable kill, the tangled network of monsters responsible for the slaughter of 270 civilians in the Pan Am Lockerbie attack become increasingly aware that someone is hunting them. Rapp is given his next target, and finds the man asleep in his bed in Paris. In the split second it takes the bullet to leave Rapp’s silenced pistol, the trap is sprung and he finds himself in the fight of his life.
The next morning, nine bodies are discovered in one of Paris’s finest hotels—among them the Libyan oil minister. Back in Washington the finger-pointing begins in earnest as no one wants any part in what has become an international crisis and potential embarrassment for the CIA. Rapp’s handlers have only one choice—deny any responsibility for the incident and pray that their newest secret weapon stays that way.
Rapp must avoid capture or die quietly. One person in the group, however, is not prone to leaving such important things to chance. Rapp has become a liability, and Stan Hurley will not allow Rapp to be taken alive by the French authorities, even if it means killing him. Operating on his own and outside the control of his handlers, it will soon become clear that nothing is more dangerous than a wounded and cornered Mitch Rapp.
In Flynn’s newest page-turner, the stakes are higher than they’ve ever been as Mitch Rapp embarks on the journey that will turn him into America’s most deadly asset. The nonstop action in this shockingly realistic political thriller will keep your pulse pounding till the very end.

Quick clever read. A little complicated plot but you’ll get it and the book a quick page turner to get you to a surprising end

Killshot. My new favorite character

Kill Shot. Fantastic plot for a spy thriller, and the character development is good. But I’m hoping the writing style matures in the later books.

Kill Shot. Excellent paper-turner!

Kill Shot. Interesting but choppy. At times the narrative just marks time, wandering lazily. Much different than Flynn's previous works. Still, a good read, if not a compelling one.

Kill Shot. It was fair not a lot to it,and at times very predictable.

Just ok. This was probably my least favorite Mitch Rapp novel. Hope Vince returns to form in the next one.

Great Book. It's a classic action book

Good story, but . . .. Nothing about secondary characters. What happened to them?

Needs more punch. Average at best in the international intrigue / spy thriller genre. Character development lacks originality. Plot is hum-drum and predictable. This is the first Vince Flynn book I have read and maybe the last.

Another great one in the long line by Vince Flynn. The way with which the Mitch Rapp series flows has me completely and I no doubt will be completing the series. This is just great writing, plain and simple...highly entertaining throughout.

Kill shot. Very disappointed with the ending....with only 2/3 of the "book" read....the final third of the book is nothing but advertisements for other books already written. Book previews are FREE at the Apple Store.....grrrrrrrrr

Perfunctory. Flynn can be a good writer, but not in this effort. This book felt rushed and superficial. Little or no character development. Things fall into place too neatly. I would not recommend.

Fast paced and realistic thriller!. Vince Flynn did it again with a realistic, fast paced, thriller.

Kill Shot. Loved it as I did all Vince Flynn novels. So sorry we haven't another to look forward to!

Gumbi. I loved it dammit!!

Kill Shot. This was the worst of the Mitch Rapp novels. I can not believe Vince Flynn would write such a filthy language book. Story was good but language destroyed it. I wonder if he would let his kids read it? I hope not. Hopefully next one is cleaner.

Kill Shot. Just finished it. I am having a tough time getting over the passing of Vince ! The Lord takes too many too early ! Scotty g miller

Kill Shot. This is my second Mitch Rapp story. After American Assassin (which I thought was really slow) I was kept busy and interested for the entire read. I'm looking forward to more of this Author's Mitch Rapp stories.

Awesome book. This book is well worth the cost and the time.

Kill Shot. This was an excellent read. i couldn't put it down. I was drawn into the book and time just slipped away. You will not regret taking the time to watch this story unfold in living color in your mind.

Thriller to the end. First book I've read front-to-back in 48 hours or less, in a long, long time. Nice job, Mr. Flynn!

Kill Shot - good but somewhat predictable. This is my first book by this author. It was a good read, but somewhat predictable. My favorite authors are Stephen King and Tom Clancy, both of whom do much better jobs of character development and putting in unexpected twists into the story lines. This was entertaining, but I'm not likely to rush to read another book by Flynn.

Kill shot. Hard to keep the characters straight but was well written and kept me turning the pages.

Vince Flynn is the best. Vince Flynn is the best. Action, plot, character development -all in one package. A page turner. Can not wait for the movie!

Kill Shot. John Smith2. A great book. High drama. Interesting to the end. A real page turner.

Amazing. Another great book. I can not wait for the next one. Vince Flynn has a true gift.

Outstanding. I couldn't put this book down. A great read.

Not my favorite. Not my favorite Flynn, but I still enjoyed it.

Incredible. I literally could not put this book down and ended up reading it in 2 days. Genius plot and turn of events hope to see another book soon. Wow what a series.

as good as it gets!!. a

Vince Flynn is the best. Truthfully, I just keep reading his Mitch Rapp books over and over. There's an integrity that aligns with my concept of justice, which keeps me glued to the pages. I must say, the actual world needs more Stansfield, Kennedy, Hurley and Rapp!

I a. Heyfr I also tweet w assaultsa ee w to me back and I told

This was a great Book!. I have read all of Vince Flynn's books and each one is even more of a page turner than the last! He keeps you on the edge of your seat with every chapter!

Reallyr r Ew. Yum t Dres a try

Great read. This book was a great ride from the start and just kept going. The story was real, believable and fast paced. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

I’m hooked. Thoughts of bouncing around the series after book 1 but went for the progression. After this one, I’m down for the entire series. What an incredible writer and story teller. RIP Vince.

Awful. I did not like this book at all, too many characters, slow paced. So happy to be done reading this!

Love the story not the foul language. I love the characters, story line and Mitch Rapp came to life, you could almost see him in person. Bought and read all of them, but why the "f" words have to fly so often is just beyond me. I do live in the real world, I know the words are used by many and have 3 nephews in special forces and know they testosterone it up an the word flies, but really......having to see it in print a jillion times??? I read multiple authors of series writing and guess I may have to stick to those. We shall see.

Flynn at his best. Read all his books, second time with this one, a great read.

Mi. Maioria não vai, mas a minha família e os meus verdadeiros amigos vão. Em homenagem aeysuj alguém que luta contra o câncer ou perdeu a luta para o câncer 🎗🎗🎗🎗🎗🎗, copiar e colar. ❤itynnbbbbbnbbbbbbnm

Great Book - No thought to the Ending. The book was great but the end was not thought out at all. But maybe I should say well thought out if the goal is to buy the next book. Book held you all the way to the end if you can call it an end. More like the the middle!

Why the bad reviews?. People need to realize that Vince was undergoing a lot of serious medical issues with cancer during his time of writing this book. That will seriously drain ones thinking capacity when creativity is needed most. Plus the time he had to balance with his family. His series is amazing. Who cares if this one a little of his normal path. It's an outstanding book regardless. And they had better do the movie right. I fear they will butcher Rapp and make him look like Bond. Rapp doesn't do monkey suits.

Fun and Exciting!. This is a quick easy read and full of action. Love the characters and suspense.

Par for the course. As usual Mr. Flynn does a great job of keeping the reader wanting more. When the pilot anounces the final desent and the electronics are to be turned off, I curse myself for not buying the hard copy. Flynn has a style all his own that keeps the reader turning page after page until the climactic but inevitably ungratifying ending. The next book in the series is eagerly awaited and will undoubtedly contain just as many intricate connections, detailed research, and pulse elevating tension. As always, well done.

Kill Shot. What a hack job. Love, Elmore Leonard, author of "Killshot."

Amazing. Great book! Enjoyed having Stansfield back, its great to see how he works, and also to get some more back story on Hurley. I was very excited when I came across rafique aziz, but I was really looking forward to reading about how he gave rapp the scar on his face. Probably my only dissapointment. Can't wait for the next book to be written.

Very good. Intriguing quick read. Jumps around a bit, but settles into a great plot.

Yay. It feels selfish but I'm glad Vince is feeling better - it was a long wait for this book and totally worth it. Bummed that Lee Child, Flynn and Connelly can't provide me with a new book every 2 weeks.

Kill Shot. It was fabulous ....hard to put down ....I love the Rapp character ....can not wait for the next book... Was it the best .... Maybe would quit reading ...did not want it to end,,,, Rapp has to go on

Kill shot. Loved it another nail biter! Can't wait for the next one and the one after that!

Kill Shot. Though I normally love Vince Flynn and his character Mitch Rapp, this book left me feeling let down. After a great start full of mystery and intrigue, the book continues to build the suspense and conflict. Then it just ends abruptly. This left me with a lot of unanswered questions. I really hope the next book clears up these questions.
