Stray. I really enjoyed this book. The explanations of culture and descriptions of new spaces and beings was understandable and enlightening. I loved her way of speaking in the new language. It reminded me of my struggles with tenses and syntax. I am buying part two right now.

Impressive!. "Young adult" protagonist often means an overload of angst plus unrealistic romance elements. Cassandra is, however, an intelligent and fully-realized human being, and self-aware enough to be able to mock the "crush" she develops on another character. Interesting settings and developments, along with her realistic struggles in adapting to a culture change make this well worth the read.

No!. The first sentence started out with an F word. That I don't care for. I've read too many books that were well written, interesting story lines and characters without profanity.

Wonderful Story. This series swiftly became one of my favorites. The writing format really brings you into the tale and makes it come to life. The world-building is also astonishing! It's a world similar enough to our own that I can understand and empathize with it, but with a mystery and fantasy that I just can't get enough of. The main character also feels extremely true to life and I absolutely love her! Give this book a read an learn to love the worlds of Tare and Muina as much as I have!

Touchstone Trilogy: Book 1. First book in a wonderful series. I've read the whole series, including the Gratuitous Epilogue, several times.

Captivating!. I was hooked from the beginning. Taking the journey with the main character was a good idea. I have read the whole series and was impressed with the imagination the author has! I had never heard of her, but now I'm a fan. Glad that I stumbled upon this book. Thanks!

Great read!. This book is enthralling. Admittedly it has a very weird format, but this format is perfect for keeping track of how much time has passed between two events. I highly recommend this book. It's very easy to get sucked into the mind set of the main character, and that's what makes it great.

YA SF with psychic space ninjas, what's not to like?. Stray is about Cass, a Sydney teenager, who falls into a wormhole to another planet on her way home from her last HSC (High School Certificate) exam. In her school uniform and equipped only with her history notes, pencil case, an empty drink bottle, and a blank diary she'd bought as a present, she finds herself in a forest, all alone. The story is told through her diary entries. Stray starts off as a survivor story with Cass having to find food and water — and not get eaten by anything herself — on the planet she's been transported to. It was believable; Cass didn't have some secret past as a hard core scout or anything so she was mostly going off common sense and random snippets of half-remembered information. Eventually, after chasing sheep around for their wool and several brushes with death, Cass is rescued by psychic space ninjas (her phrase) and the bulk of the story takes place in an advanced alien society. With psychic space ninjas. I recommend Stray to fans of science fiction and perhaps space opera (although it's not quite space opera as I understand the definition) and science fantasy.

Get lost in another 🌎 world. This story blew my mind👍👍💯💯💯📚💯💯💯🙏 It a fantastic science fiction fantasy story with a slow burn romance later in the series. I got lost in this world of Andrea Hosts and I wish it was a listening book or audio so I could listen to this story. The imagination of this author is amazing 😉 and it’s easy to read with a strong but sensitive and sensible female character. This whole series is in my top 20 all time favourite 📚 books. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

WOW!!. Really great book event if something I was lost because of all the informations!! Really like Cassandra and the fact that she is so mature for a late teen!! I have read the book 2 and 3 and I have to tell you that the book is awesome and I HAVE to finish the trilogy!! LOVE IT 😍😍

Stray. This book is excellent as in the young people's books of the 1960's. Not as much in teaching of science, ethics and values like in Heinlein's books, but enough for me to rate it as similar. If the rest of the series upholds the promise of this book, we have a major talent for Science Fiction. I'd anticipate this authors writings like I do of Cherryh and Modesitt.
