Just a lovely read. Beautifully written, strong and feminine heroine meets and falls in love with her equally strong yet reasonably sensitive warrior...only in romantic fiction? I would like to think not...and during the time I thoroughly enjoyed the unwinding of her s excellent highland tale, it is definitely true. I highly recommend what is likely one of my all-time favorite books with characters I admire and a love which is beautiful as well as believable. Sprinkled with humor and soaked with a cherished tale of honor and family, winning against the powers of evil, and courage in the face of fear, I hope you enjoy this read as much as I do--every time I read it!

I enjoyed it but.... I have to agree with what someone else said, this book just ended! I mean, it was a long book and Julie couldn’t spare one more chapter to write about Johanna’s mother and her new baby? Who cares about the bishop? The end really disappointed me. Fix up Julie Garwood!

Incredible. I love how all of Julie Garwood's books are all lovey dovey and happy and then they have just a little problem in them. They give the reader a respite from the busyness of everyday life and give them the chance to take part in another life! Thanks for all of the wonderful stories! Every single one of her books is amazing!

Scottish Love Story. Have always loved this book. Have reread it many times, every few years since it was first published. Julie Garwood always makes me smile.

It’s a bit smuttier than I’d remembered. It’s a nice story, but it is a bit smuttier than I remember from reading it years ago.

Saving Grace. This author has a way of writing that fits perfectly with my enjoyment. There’s just enough bad to enliven the story without going overboard. It’s a perfect balance of happy, sad, love, trust and laughter. Please write more historical romances Ms. Garwood!

Saving Grace. Garwood has a way of leading the reader from one crisis to another. It’s hard to stop reading as you must know what’s happening and then before you know it you’re facing another crisis.

Loved it but....spoiler below. I love this book but was very disappointed at the end. I was anticipating a chapter about the birth of their child and the arrival of Johanna's mother but the book just ends.Then the strange epilogue about the bishops death. I didn't give two hoots about the bishop. I wanted to find out about Gabriel and Johanna and what happened afterwards, did she have a boy or a girl???Thats why I only gave this three stars. It was a long book only to have it just end. Books like this just annoy me when authors do that. Just a personal preference.

Sequel Please!. I loved Johanna! I can’t say enough about strong leading ladies. Love the clever problem-solving that she does all through-out the book. Don’t like books with weak willed Leading ladies with warriors for husbands. My BFF said there is a sequel? If not please put pen-to-paper and create one. I adored Johanna’s and Gabriel’s story! It’s one of those I have recommended to my wide circle of Highlander Book Club! IAMPUNY62

Wonderful. One of my favorites so far! I though the approach to domestic abuse in regards to the church and laws was refreshing. We were able to see a lighter side and remember not all men and not all priests treated women in such horrid ways. I loved the ending, where we see the priest again. It was a reminder how bad ideas continue through generations, but also how good ideas do too.

Nice. This is definitely one of Garwood's signature works. Although I think Ransom, The Wedding, and The Secret are better novels compared to this one. All are about English heroines involved with highland lairds. The Prize and Honor's Splendor are my favorites among all her works.

My 1st book'. This is it the book that started me reading and the one I love the most out of the thousand I've read now. It's so good every page! Just adore it!!!
