Forge. Wow. That is the single most inspiring read i have ever layed my eyes upon. I am now in a state of deep melancholy, due to the fact that I am now finished with this novel. I cant wait for ashes!

Forge. Well written and researched. Ending up in the air but at least the 2 runaway slaves were not captured. Interesting account of the conditions at Valley Forge for the American soldiers and what they had to endure to survive one winter. BJW

Forge: The Story of Conquering the Monstrosity of Slavery. Saying that this book is great is such an understatement that I can hardly fathom the that there have not been infinitely extensive and useful reviews; the ideas of the author which she brings to surface with her clear emotion and understanding of the human condition are more than truthful and evoke emotions that are far stronger than what an average novel brings; I experienced not sadness, not pain, but misery and agony. When a character feels pain it is not as though it is a person other than yourself; it is all too easy to get caught up in her realistic sense of slavery and of life during the Cold War. Through this novel you will experience both realism and fiction simultaneously. Therefore, I feel that this book is one of the best works of literature that any person, young or old, can experience; its rollercoaster ride of emotions helps you get a better understanding about the roots of both America and slavery. Cherish this book for eternity, for it is a diamond in the mess of modern literature.

AMAZING BOOK READ IT NOW. So this is like one of the best books ever written and you should definitely read it if you like historical fiction! Also if anyone knows when Ashes is gonna come out please please please tell me! I try to search it and city of ashes pops up every where!

The Chains story was so entangling and pushes people further to read. Forge will surely be just as in inspiring and exciting as Chains!
