Not ready for prime-time. The illustrations are original classics. But whoever typeset this small volume should be sent back to school. HUGE, and I mean HUGE gaps between words and horrid word breaks. A preschooler would not understand why one word is broken into two. As mentioned in a few other reviews, the pronunciation of some words is way off, she should be sent back to school as well! (piga-stie?) Not to mention, this audio-reader puts one to sleep, zzzz… Better off having the print book version and reading to your little one yourself.

Beautiful. Her artwork is just beautiful and it's a sweet wholesome story. A must for your iBook library. Perfect read for bedtime.

Um, can she read?!. Narrator had some mis-pronunciations. Not quite "finished" for a final cut.

Outdated. Beating kids for being kids is wrong. Does not fit with today’s world.

Boring. Put me to sleep and my four year old became antsy

As wonderful as I remember.. Just finished reading to my grandson. I enjoyed her tales when I was a child and I am so happy my children and now grandchildren enjoy these as well. Truly stands the test of time.

Funny. I read this to my wife in bed and we were dying laughing. The illustrations are hilarious. "momma beat her kids then told company they had the measles.". Lol horrible...

I think it’s cute!. It is sort of outdated, but remember, the original story was made in the 1900-1800, that’s a while ago, so it IS outdated, but these stories are still cute, and the illustrations are adorable! It’s short, but I still like. I remember loving this story when I was like 7 and I still do. It’s a short, yet cute story that I appreciate. :) /\__/\ \ ^ •^ | U|
