Death of Kings. Bernard Cornwell is the best living author. I have read every book he has published multiple times. Do not hesitate to read ANY of his works.

Death of Kings. Having faced the enemy in sometime close quarter combat in the jungles of Vietnam, I can greatly appreciate the poetic excitement of Cornwell's words as they take me back to that long ago period with a sense pride. And reading his descriptions of the deadly shield wall causes these old hands to sweat in fear and this old heart to long for those adrenalin driven moments of life and death.

Love the history. I have read all of the Saxon stories and enjoyed them all. I have been waiting for this one to come out for some time. I had forgotten one thing though, the distracting typosand selling errors. For me it takes away from he excitement and that is why I gave it 4 stars and not five. What's the deal? It's being translated from English to English not Chinese to English. Get a new editor!

Great! Another classic in the Series.. Looking forward to the next book. For me this is my favorite series written by Cornwell.

Awesome read. An amazing book and series that I fell in love with after the first page.

Another solid book. The newest book in the Saxon storyline continues in the same vein as the others; well written, exciting, and entertaining. Note that, for some reason, the map in the front cover is incredibly blurry making the locations mentioned in the story hard to find.

Cornwell hits another homerun. While book may seem a bit short for his usual works, it kept me involved with every page. Terrific!
