Intriguing. Good read. A few too many narrators so we don't get to deep in the characters.

No Mark Upon Her. Another great read; Crombie's books get better and better. This one gives us a glimpse into the world of competitive rowing, dog search and rescue, police politics and "blended" family life while making us care for a host of well-developed characters. Oh yes, and there are murders, too, that intriguingly complicate matters...

No Mark Upon Her. I was impatient waiting for Gemma and Duncan's next book. The wait was worth it though. Right from the start we are dropped into the active family as though we were never gone. It is distracting when an author goes on and "re-educating" the reader on the details of the characters from previous books. Their history is woven into the story seamlessly. I became attached to each of the possible suspects from the beginning and would put the book down as the suspense built because I didn't want to believe any of them had committed the crime. Normally I would have read it through, but the tension was so real I didn't want the book to end, does that make sense? Details about rowing, the training, the boats and the significance in the lives of the characters again melded well with the story, I could almost want to give it try myself. I loved the book,was sorry for it to come to the end. Glad I bought it rather than wait for my turn at the library because I surely will read it again in the future.

No Mark Apon Her. This is the first time I have written a review on a book that I have read on an I pad by Deborah Crombie. I have read all of her books and find them all excellent . I love the twists within twists and the atmosphere she can create. I hate coming to the end because I know I have to wait a long time before the next one comes out. I was disappointed that on the electronic version it did not have the maps. I guess I will have to buy a hard copy to see where I have read. I would like her to base another book in Scotland. Thanks .

Lots of fluff. With a slow ending. Written in a feminine viewpoint - might appeal more to those of the female persuasion.
