Good book, bad ending. Loved the book. Kept me interested the entire time, but the ending is a huge disappointment. And JP fan will buy the next book he doesn't have to use tactics like cliffhanger endings to get book sales.

Worst Patterson Book I've read.... Sorry for the negativity but I am an avid/loyal fan of JP and book was so poorly written I had to get it off my chest. It was a chopped up lumpy version of the norm. Great plot and could have been a great story... but I was left angry that I actually bought it when I was done. :(

Poor ending. I did enjoy the book ... A lot in fact. But, the sudden incomplete ending was enough to actually make me angry. It felt like some deadline date or some other arbitrary influence intervened for a qwick "The End". It wasn't even an appropriate ending for a book with a sequel planned b the author. Gave a pretty good book a bad taste in my mouth.

Good book bad ending. The ending wasn’t a proper conclusion

Great book until... What the heck? It was a great book up until it just STOPPED! No ending, no conclusion. It just stopped at the end of a chapter. Yeah, I get it. Keep us on the hook until the concluding book comes out. Bad form.

Not one of James Patterson's best. I am a huge Patterson fan. His books are what got me back to reading. I love the Michael Bennett books. I read some of this book's reviews so I was prepared to be somewhat disappointed. I agree, this is not a great effort on Patterson's part and it is the worst of the Michael Bennett series by far. I expect a certain quality of writing when I read Patterson and it is not here in the story.

These prices keep going up and I pay, with the expectation that I will get a complete book. . . beginning, middle and end! This book sorely disappointed! Oh well, on to Lee Child and Brad Thor.

Loved it!!. I feel like the the "cliffhanger" hatred is exaggerated. I loved this book. It definitely ends on a to be continued, but that makes it exciting to know there's more to the story. Like I said, I loved this story. Can't wait for the sequel.

Where is the ending??. I would rate this as zero stars if possible. We wander into this story as if we picked up some random chapters of a novel. The plot is predictable, the characters shallow, and the book ends like the authors ran out of words. Disappointing, a waste of time and money, don't bother.

Speechless. I'm all for cliffhangers, but this was not a good one. By adding another 100 pages or so, this story could have been wrapped up nicely. Now, I'm expected to wait for the next installment to see how it ends. I will get the next book from the library. I have no intention of spending another $13.

Shameless sales ploy or just ran out of time to write an ending?. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK! $15.00 for an unfinished book. This is by far the worst ending I have ever read. In the middle of a suspenseful climax, when you turn the page for the next chapter, there is none! The book simply ends right in the middle of the story. No closure. No ending. It's as if the author got up to answer the door and never came back to finish the novel. If it's Patterson's way of coercing us to buy the next book to see what happens, which I am sure is the ploy, it fails miserably. I will never buy another Patterson book because of the way this was played. Shame on Patterson for playing his audience for fools. Shame on the publisher for putting this book to market without an ending. Shame on Apple for putting this trash into the Book store. And shame on me if I ever give Patterson another nickel for this outrageous ploy to sell his books!

Disappointed!. Like everyone else the ending was awful!! Then a preview of a book that is not even the 2nd in a series for this one. Very disappointed:(

Where's the ending?. No credibility. A waste of my valuable time with nothing at the end but a commercial for Patterson's next book... I actually thought the book failed to download completely. That's how abruptly the story ended. There actually was no ending to this pathetic story. You should return your reader's money, Mr Patterson!

I Michael Bennett's. I am so disappointed in the ending of this great book. In reading the insert of his next book "Zoo", I can see that it doesn't go on with the story. I hate a book to end this way. We get interested in this family all along and then they are dropped off the earth and we begin a story about animals. What happened Michael???

No Ending. Leaves you hanging. Nothing is resolved.

Angry. I am so angry. This book is apparently a part 1. If I am paying $15 for a book, I expect a conclusion. Not half a story. I have been iffy on James Patterson since learning he doesn't write his stories, just edits them and slaps his name on it. This is the final straw for me. If you want a good book, go to one of the more respected authors. Stay away from him.

Where's the rest of the book?. Since I love Patterson books, I never read the reviews. Wish I had because I wouldn't have purchased it. I read for pleasure & yes, I admit, I like things wrapped up in a pretty bow by the last page. This one abruptly ends. Come on now, there's enough unfinished business in my life to ponder.
