THE only book you will ever need for "life". When I see all the psychology books for self help that how to help people deal with life's problems, I always think of this book. This is not just a story of a Man interred at a concentration camp during the Holocaust and stories of what occurred while he was there. It's much more. I read it 25 years go in college in my freshman philosophy course and I got It. My 16 year old son went through a terrible drug problem and I handed him this book. He read it in one night bs it turned his life around. Don't be blind. This is essential to your life's guiding principles.

Read it.. Don't even think about anymore. Just read it.

One of the great books for a reason. I do not agree with many of the author’s conclusions, BUT this is one of the great books written because of the efficient way in which some of the most horrific accounts of all time are described and how they were transcended.

Great Read. I may have not gotten the same lesson as most but definitely a must read, opens your eyes to an alternate view of life

Worthwhile read, but nothing you won’t find elsewhere. If you have read any self help literature you will find nothing new in this book. The book is interesting looking at it as the source of a lot of modern self help thinking. His description of his time in the concentration camps was a bit clinically detached. I appreciated this because I was not in a place to process a more emotional approach. The second half of the book was a dry discourse on his personal field of Logotherapy. I didn’t find it very approachable. I think it was a missed opportunity. I’m glad I read the book. It is a interesting snapshot of history.

Meaning. This book ordered the chaos in my mind and soul. It was the perfect union of understanding the heart ache and trauma in my life. I took a more nihilistic approach, but this book gave me a path to overcoming and looking at my present pain as an opportunity, a way to prove that it wasn’t for nothing.

Amazing book. Gave a new perspective of viewing sufferings in our lives. Logo therapy is something every individual should be introduced to, which can help them find true meaning to their lives.

Why did I wait so long to read this book?. I had heard about this book from speakers and other authors many times but never got around to purchasing and reading the book until now. I wish I had read this book 30 years ago. Don't skip the part where he talks about therapy. There is a lot of great advice that we can apply to our lives from that section of the book.

10/10. This book is amazing, it’s definitely one of the best books I’ve ever read and it’s now my favorite. It really gets you to reflect on life and the inevitable trials that it comes with, and how it is through those challenges that you can find meaning in each moment you’re given depending on the attitude that you choose to have towards them. I also love when he said that the transitoriness of life creates the very challenge for us to do our best everyday — to live life actively not passively. This is a book I’d recommend to everyone I know!

Wow... A must read for anyone struggling with depression and anxiety do to a lack of a “North Star”.. life has meaning if you chose to give it meaning. So many great techniques in this book that I plan to practice.

Wonderful Surprise. I had heard that this was one of the most influential books ever written, so I bought it. But I put it aside for a long time, fearing the subject matter would simply be too dark and difficult to get through. I finally decided to commit to the experience, and I'm so glad I did! There was meaning and purpose behind every description of Dr. Frankl's experiences, which made it easier to stay in the story. And the wealth of wisdom, through hope, optimism, and determination, was life-changing. What a gift this man was, and still is, to everyone within reach of his books! I'm so glad I took this journey. I carry it with me as I step more confidently into my own search for meaning!

A Permanent Place on My Bookshelf. It’s hard to believe that after nearly a decade of being a psychotherapist this is my first time reading this book. And this is a book that I will not only personally read year-over-year however, one that I will encourage nearly all of my clients to read. For me, there was never a question about if there was value in my life, there was however, a question of how to go about finding that value. This book, its explanations and through Viktor’s experiences one can easily come to the conclusion about what needs to be done to find value in life and in the present moment. Please, pick up this book and read it. For all that you know, this book may literally help change your life.
