The Selection. I LOVE THIS BOOK and the series! I couldn’t put it down. It is a well written book and you really do love all the characters (minus a few) I do know it is worth the read. At first I was a little iffy because I didn’t think I would like all that princess stuff, but it is not at all what you think! It’s unpredictable and shocking. It has some violence however with the southern rebels and some injuries and fights, and it has a lot of romance. I love it so much. The whole series is fantastic. Worth the read. Trust. Me.

Just yes. If your a hopeless romantic who loves distopian stories than this is your book. Classic love tropes, a bit of the bachelor, and just a tad distopian. This is one of the first books I’ve read for fun in years and it was worth staying up until 4am to finish.

10/10 recommend. i read this book for the first time when i was 13. it’s 100% one of the best books i’ve ever read, and i still love it to this day. it’s a great read for fans of the hunger game who love closed door romance books. perfect for high school girls. kierra cass did an amazing job! definitely read this!

SO GOOD!!!!!!!!. This book is amazing and I am so glad I found this series… one of my favorite books yet! It is a very captivating book and I was intrigued just in the first chapter. I have been looking for a great series, and I am so ecstatic I found it. Beautiful romance book and had me routing for Maxon and America the entire time! Maxon hands down is my favorite book character ever!

I very good series to read.. The books in this series were all page turners and had me completely wrapped up in Maxon’s and America’s relationship! I loved Aspen in the beginning, but I was rooting for Maxon the whole time! Sooo good! I have read books that have more of a mature or rather poetic type of writing, which I prefer, but this series is definitely on my list of favorites. I encourage you to read it!

Really good. The selection was suspenseful and humorous, withered a,axing characters. My favorite characters were probably America, Maxon and (if you can believe it,) Celest. Their personalities were unique and very powerful. America was funny and courageous, but but still had many feelings. Maxon was funny and shy, and probably my favorite character. Celest was sassy, commanding, and was not afraid to hurt someone to get what she wanted. Those types of characters add a lot to the story. I’m definitely rooting for America and Maxon. This was an amazing story.

The Selection 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. SO GOOD! I got this for a vacation in Arizona and at first I was kind of bored of it but it got so good! (I am not kidding when I say that I walked through a Walgreens in Arizona reading this book.) This book follows America Singer who is basically plucked out of poverty and put into a competition to win the heart of a prince. IT’S INCREDIBLE!!! This whole series is like a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 star read for me, it is absolutely amazing!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. this was the first book that got me HOOKED. i finished the whole series in a week and i hated reading until i found this. PLEASE PLEASE recommended this to people bc no one i know has read it. it’s so amazing i really hope they make a movie. also if you know any similar books to this one lmk!!!

The selection. This book is one of the best. I know it’s old, and all and I’m behind. But, this is one of the best romance dystopian books. It’s a page turner.

The selection 5 stars!. This was the book series that I needed, after 3 years of finishing it I’m fighting not going back to re read the selection. I thought this was going to be a retale of another story like a Cinderella story. Thank goodness it wasn’t, but this genre made me go read “The Kiss Of Deception” by Mary E. Pearson, (which was amazing! You should read it after this series) and just starting the “Shatter Me” series by Tahereh Mafi. This Sci-fi, dystopian thing is very interesting, so anyone who likes that stuff should read this book, and the series.

THE ULTIMATE. Fun, fast and easy to read. Easily the start of my FAVORITE SERIES OF ALL TIME!

Different type of story. Something unique and realistic to follow

AMAZING!. I’m not a big reader and I finished this book in one day it was that hard to put down. If it wasn’t midnight I’d start the 2nd book right away but I’m afraid I won’t be able to put that down either!

The Bachelor: Dystopian Edition. While by no means a literary masterpiece, The Selection is a highly entertaining and addicting read. If I were to be critical, I might have a problem with the iffy world building and cliche characters. The only thing that I had a problem with was America Singer, whose name is almost as annoying as she is. Don’t get me wrong, she’s the typical nice MC...but incredibly indecisive in everything. Instead of creating tension, she just comes across as annoying. She’s also hypocritical in the love triangle, and her frequent breakdowns made it hard to empathize when it really mattered (mostly Book 2). Overall, it was a really entertaining series that I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a fun read.

Pretty good series.. So I’ve read the 3 books in this series about America and it was a pretty good story. I do wish the writing was stronger. There are a lot of unanswered questions in the series and I feel like the author could have done more when explaining/describing things. Pretty disappointed the author didn’t continue America’s story with the 4th and 5th book. Overall it’s a good read but that’s about it.

Beautifully written. It’s been hard to come across great books and with quarantine still here it’s even harder to find something that captures my interest, but this series does just that. The brilliant romance between America, Maxon, and Aspen is one that causes you to feel butterflies in your stomach and your eyes to sweat salty tears. Each chapter leaves you wanting more and when I finished the first one I had to read the rest. The Selection gives you a whirlwind of emotions that can only be satisfied by reading the entire series. If you’re looking for a book or series that will keep you entertained then I highly recommend this one.

Amazing. This genre is very new to me but this book is amazing! I love the growth of the characters throughout the book! Overall this book is amazing!

Fun. I liked this. The tone was light and made for an easy read. In the course of five days, I got through this book and half of the next one, and it didn’t even feel like I was reading! The books are a good size too, but it was so well written that I didn’t notice. The only thing that surprised me about this series is that it takes three books to know who the winner of the selection is. I would have thought it was done in the first book. After all, The Bachelor chooses at the end of the season. However, while this sounds drawn out, it doesn’t feel that way reading it. The timeline makes sense once you’re into it, and it makes for great character development.

Probably would’ve liked it better when I was a teenager. I read this because someone I used to hang out with has read this trilogy many times when we were in middle/high school. It’s not my usual pick but I decided to give it a try nonetheless. I wasn’t so interested in it that I just HAD to finish it and start the next one but interesting enough that when I’d take a break I’d come back to it shortly after. While I do feel some parts were just repetitive and more could’ve been done, and some of the names are outright ridiculous, I did genuinely enjoy this book, and will be finishing the trilogy. I just hope the next two have a little something more.

Best Series Ever. This book is sooo good!! Highly recommend! The whole series is amazing and a very quick read if you have time on your hands. The only thing I would change about the series is they are TOO short. I would have liked them to be a little longer but they are perfect otherwise. I have read this series a trillion times and find more things to love about it each time!! I am also sooo excited for the Netflix movie being made on it!! A fun, fluffy YA dystopian romance that will have you hooked.. I didn’t think I was going to like this book, but I did! The Selection takes place in a futuristic version of the United States, where a royal family rules and the citizens are separated by a harsh caste system. Every time a male heir comes of age, the royal family holds a Selection- a competition in which thirty-five girls from across the country compete for the throne. America Singer has always been cynical about the Selection. But when she’s drafted for the competition, she reluctantly agrees to join. As she fights for the heart of a prince she doesn’t even know, America will discover a whole new world within the palace walls. The plot of The Selection can feel tropey and predictable at times (love triangles and not-like-other-girls are the most common ones here) but I definitely think The Selection is worth reading. I would like to warn, however, that the fourth and fifth books are not as great as the first three. But overall, this series is super addictive and bingeable!

The selection series. Such a good book and got so attached to the wonderful writing and series. I continued to read and it's just a really good book series.

Amazing. This book is legit amazing

Loved it!!. I loved this book so much! I thought is was going to be like any other Royalty book but it was really interesting reading about the different groups of people and following their daily lives in the castle.

Not 100% original. It really reminded me of the hunger games, and some sections sounded more like 5th grade me trying to describe and using way too many adjectives. Kinda cheesy. It’s a good story overall though.

5 stars. before you read the rest of this review BUY THIS BOOK trust me you won’t regret it this book has everything you would want in a romance yet somehow there’s still fantasy! i normally won’t read fantasy of any kind but kiera has changed that opinion and now i’m more open to reading fantasy books/novels. the characters were so fun and interesting. mini spoiler ahead! i loved how this book was set in the future! if you love a cozy little romance/fantasy novel this is the book for you. this series is a little challenging to get into but by the fourth chapter i was intrigued. the great thing about this series is the fact that there are so many books in the series so if you want more there is a good four books after this one. (plus a novella) i hope you read this book and enjoy as much as i did!

So. Good.. I read all 5 books in 5 days and I have no regrets. All the tears and stress were 100% worth it. I would do anything just to have this experience again for the first time. From the first page you are hooked and cannot stop reading! Perfect mix of romance and dystopia. I loved every second of this story.

It’s umm… certainly interesting. The main character is super annoying and things get extremely cringy often. Also I’m not a big fan of the writing style but it’s super entertaining and fun to make fun of so I’d give it like 4 stars

AMAZING BOOK. It was such a good book to read! I loved it! I 100% recommend it to anyone who’s looking to read it. I couldn’t put this book down EVER. I was always on the edge of my seat while reading, and that so rarely happens to me, as I am extremely picky when it comes to books. Basically I’m telling you to read it and be prepared to throw it, yell, swoon, and fall for the characters alongside America. SPOILER ALERT I love how America slowly falls for Maxon! The only thing that I dislike is the fact that America so willingly cheats on Maxon with Aspen even when Aspen broke her heart.

Very entertaining. Interesting plot, the action was consistent and kept me wanting to read more. Can't wait for book 2!

Pretty bad. Honestly it was one of the worst books I've ever read. It was a copy of the hunger games with elements of the bachelor and if you think that sounds bad, imagine it being 10 times worse. The writing is very very immature. If you are over 13 years old you're too old for this book. It's just a book that's been done before. You can't even call it a complete book, it is written like a tv show; the first book is only a small part of the story which doesn't get concluded at all until the third book. If you enjoy easy books that are predictable, and have been done way too many times, this is the book for you. This is just my opinion though, if you disagree that's fine.

The selection. This book when I first read the back seemed tacky and childish. Boy was I wrong. Kierra cass shows us the hardships of love while still adding that fairy tale magic. She shows the conflicts of young love and that we can't always have everything we want. Even the ones who seem most happy aren't as lucky as they seem. This book is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a fairy tale mixed with reality.

The Bachelor Vs. The Hunger Games. This book mixes elements from both the "Hunger Games" book series & the television series "the Bachelor." It's an easy & good read. The ending left me wanting more. However, at times, American's love life is a little frustrating from a reader's perspective.

The Selection. Kiera Cass' book 'The Selection' is a great boom with an interesting plot, it draws you in from the first page with a hidden charming quality. A truly addictive book that is impossible to put down. Even though it gives you a slight sensation of déjà vu at parts this book is wells worth the read.
