The Boy in the Suitcase by Lene Kaaberbøl & Agnete Friis Book Summary

Nina Borg, a Red Cross nurse, wife, and mother of two, is a compulsive do-gooder who can't say no when someone asks for help—even when she knows better. When her estranged friend Karin leaves her a key to a public locker in the Copenhagen train station, Nina gets suckered into her most dangerous project yet. Inside the locker is a suitcase, and inside the suitcase is a three-year-old boy: naked and drugged, but alive.

Is the boy a victim of child trafficking? Can he be turned over to authorities, or will they only return him to whoever sold him? When Karin is discovered brutally murdered, Nina realizes that her life and the boy's are in jeopardy, too. In an increasingly desperate trek across Denmark, Nina tries to figure out who the boy is, where he belongs, and who exactly is trying to hunt him down.

Boy in the suitcase. It kept my interest even though it jumped around from person to person . I would have liked to hear how Mikus was in the end. So I didn't like the ending .

My t. I wantQ really rr

Suspenseful and intriguing. Had a bit of a stop start attempt at beginning with this book but it gripped me once I was in. It jumps about a bit between characters to begin with but you soon get the hang of who's who. The characters are believable and exceptionally deep. However, I struggled with the twin/city/last names of certainly the Lithuanian places/people but some of the others too. Sort of gave up and skipped them which made it easier. A page turner to the end.

Great book till the end. This book is really goood it keeps you hook till the very last page also read the book in Spanish and is still great :)

The Boy in the Suitcase. Skillfully orchestrated, draws you in immediately and compels you to keep reading. Excellent read!

What happened to the characters?. The plot is actually pretty good and revelations come along at the right time. Unfortunately—-the characters are miserably bland and unbelievable. I can’t make myself believe the protagonist could possibly behave so stupidly. More in this series; not for me.

Too much, too many, and too long. Too many characters with similar names it was difficult to track. Too much jumping around, from different characters to different places. The end explained everything, but it took forever to reach it. My last book by these authors.

Awesome story!. Is a must read, suspense, drama, a bit of romance. Will keep you engage!

The Boy in the Suitcase. This was an outstanding book, that I’ve just read for the second time. I didn’t understand Nina until the end of the book and her awful experience as a child explained her behavior. Wow what a gut wrenching experience the boy’s mother endured, but she was the most likable character in the book. Such strength and fortitude was impressive.

The Boy in the Suitcase. Good read from the first page. I would read other novels by these authors.
