Poet tells of a talking raven's mysterious visit to a distraught lover, tracing the man's slow fall into madness. The lover, often identified as being a student, is lamenting the loss of his love, Lenore. The raven. I love this piece by Edgar Poe. How he was able to portray someone he loved that is dying in the next room while a bird is telling him he will never see her again...what an amazing mind.

Need to read. This was something I needed to read and that I put myself in the store while reading it. like when someone would read it to me as a kid.

Is good. Good book yeah wow

Awesome. Share

Review. I loved it I love all his books I think Tell Tale Heart was the best

The raven. Awesome

Loves. What a great snippet

Great!. Great book!

Amazing. Just an absolutely beautiful and amazing piece of poetry

Great poem. This was a great poem

The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe. It’s a cool way to make you think about what’s happening.

Poe’s Raven. If thy wish is to entreat thee, with a poem so ghastly, beastly, make it known there is a freely written poem of wanton score. With no doubt, The Raven, driven to the edge of conscious reason made a mark of unseen vision thrust into the reader’s core. Will it bore you? Nevermore!

Brilliantly written. This poem's singular sonority and choice of words play an important part in conveying its author's feelings, which is always peculiar

The Raven. This is one of my best poems to read in a dark room and sit there with my own thoughts that would scare the heap out of you but my most favorite is Tall Tale Heart

very good. very interesting and deep

The Raven. I love this book

AWSOME. AWSOME

The raven. This book is a book that a person with good literature would like and enjoy

Amazing. Very spooky!!

The Raven. This poem is good for a short story, that allows for quite a bit of optional thinking. When reading poems, I think of what they mean to me, and what the poem could have meant to the poet.

Amazing. This poem is amazing! Edgar Alan Poe is the best!

Best!!!!. Still the best of all these years

Wow. Wow amazing and very deep.

Good poem. A classic Poe poem that is an easy read.

The best. It speaks to my soul.

One of my favorites.. I have bought it, Free, (who’d thought it!?), Purchased from the online Apple store, Poe, who wrote it, Never gloated, But this poem I adore, This I write, and nothing more.

Beautiful. This piece of poetry written by Edgar Allan Poe is marvelous , I highly recommend it after reading many of his works it's changed my view on many things . He makes things dark and make sense with what he writes .

Good horror!. If the version of the Simpsons was great, you will love the original version!

100 percent a good piece of art. edgar allen poe has always been my favorite poet and story writer he provides the right amount of suspense and mystery in his plots

Very deep. I didnt quite understand the meaning of the words because it’s a classic but nevertheless the theme of the poem is good and creative i like the idea of a raven and the symbolic meaning of it. Well done Poe.

Nevermore!. So dark, so rich, so frightening! Quoth the raven, nevermore! This is a great poem; you feel his pain for Lenore. I'm sure many can relate to this poem.

Nevermore!. A great work of art. I would recommend this book to everyone.

Short and Spooky. It was okay. Cool imagery. Spooky-ooky, ya know? Had to read it in a British dialect. Felt like a depressed, sleep-deprived Dr. Seuss. I was like, "is this guy hydrated?". Anyway, it's short -- decent read if you're waiting in line at the DMV.

Nevermore said the Raven. Absolutely love this poem. Could read it all the time and never get tired of it. Very happy to see its free

Stunning!!. The poem is stunning with amazing detail! No wonder this is so famous!

A piece to interpret your own way. Moving

I DONT KNOW WHAT I JUST READ. :D. The words were so big and complex, that I wasn't understanding what was happening. Overall, I thought it was a great book. It reminded me of the book " the old lady who swallowed a fly". So many plot twists. I will read this book nevermore!!!!!!!!!!

A scary gothic classic tale, truly terrifying. Honestly, this may be the scariest poem of all time. It is scary even now, with movies like the ring and the exorcist, and games like outlast and resident evil. But back in the early 1800s, back when a storm could give a fully grown man a heart attack. This is a classic, a must-have, and it’s free!

Gothic poetry masterclass. Classic is clearly an understatement when it comes to the one and only Edgar Allen Poe, whose dark and somewhat twisted style comes through in this hauntingly beautiful tale of demise and unrequited love.
