The Sea Wolf. The book was a great pleasure to read in the comfort of my own home when all hell was breaking open to Hump. I had a mere taste of this in Navy boot camp. Good twist adding Maude, and a great end. As in the books I have already read from him, the weakling becomes a man in the end. Makes you feel good. Thanks, Bob
Sea wolf. Great
Best of the Best Adventure/Romance. Ready to be taken on a grand sailing misadventure turned opportunity for self discovery and maturity via extreme hardship? Desiring to meet the devil himself clad in handsome human flesh? Holding out hope for the love of a lifetime despite having never been in love? Then give “The Sea Wolf” a go. Rich, deep, descriptive and powerfully enjoyable. A truly great read!
Sea Wolf. It is a well written book with great thought of life and what it is to live.
High Jinks on the High Seas!. This Jack London classic was full of action and intrigue. I would rate it PG 14 due to the violence and gory details depicted within. This ocean adventure was hard to put down, with edge of your seat action and wonderful romance. I highly recommend it and was sorry to see the end.
Not London’s best.. Not as good as his other books. “Call of the Wild” and “White Fang” were much more compelling. I’d recommend them before this.
Impressive. Back half kinda loses me but the Wolf Larsen character is worth four stars alone.
The Sea Wolf. What a book! High adventure on the high seas. Deep psychology. And what a dark, twisted nemesis in Wolf Larsen. Unforgettable.
Terrible book. It is a book with the same thing happening over and over again it is so boring and I didn't want to read it but I wanted to see if it got any better it didn't they just went through a storm someone died or a story was told and someone gets punished over and over again it happens to every chapter do not read it trust me on this one.
Incredible. One of the greatest works of American literature.
The Sea Wolf. The book was all right I like the last couple of chapters. But this book was not my cup of tea.
Sea Wolf. An allegorical tale for the younger generation of Americans facing a hostile primal world.
The Sea Wolf. Jack London is a great writer and THE SEA WOLF is an excellent book, deeper than his other great books but I think that WHITE FANG and THE CALL OF THE WILD were better. Nevertheless THE SEA WOLF was fascinating; a great read, with interesting philosophical perspectives on life, and ahead of its time in how he presents men women and the relationship of how people interact with each other in the struggles of life. I highly recommend this book as a must read!
Wolf Larson embodies everything that makes a great villain. A tense adventure featuring the most brutal and fascinating character in literature, Wolf Larson. Tip: Recommend reviewing a ship diagram and basic terminology while reading.
Sea Wolf. Very inticing, recommend it, to all readers young no old.

One of London’s best.. I have been a loyal fan of Jack London since I read “The Call of the Wild”, since then I have read his works prolifically. I would say that with the exception of “Martin Eden” this is his best work, incredible imagery and the signature London tale of a man finding his way and becoming something more.
The Ultimate Maritime Villain. Captain Wolf Larsen! You can’t help fear and love him. Great story of misfortune after misfortune for hero ‘Hump’ Van Weyden. How will it all end for hero and villain? Well worth reading.
Adventure on the high seas. Once again Jack London spins a yarn that has you gripped from beginning to end. A master class in storytelling
