This book is SOO LAME. This story doesn't make any sense I hated it.... )):

Classic. A short and provocative read into mental illness or the effects of isolation on any soul. Worth the short time it takes to read.

For psych students. A quick read which pulls you in slowly into the schizophrenic mind of a woman kept like a prisoner in a rental home by her physician-husband. Put it on the yellow tablet list of must-read books for psychology students.😏

A great read!!!. A very interesting book, very symbolic and has some humor.

The yellow wallpaper. Awesome!! Right inside of the main characters mind. It seems very realistic.

Love it. Love how she starts "creeping" near the end!

Exceptional book!. The beauty of it being so short is that each time I reread it, I discover more depth in the writing. Very insightful into mental health -

Outstanding. Very well written. The author writes in an impeccable and capturing way.

Good short story. It wasn’t bad but was a bit slow in the beginning for a short story and a little confusing at the end, but overall it wasn’t a bad read.

Wow.. Quarantine read. Good or bad decision? I’d say a bit of both, but loved it nonetheless.

Unsettling. The irony, symbolism and ambiguity in this story are exactly what make it so delightfully disturbing. The ending was a perfect conclusion!

An Incredible read. A Classic I had not encountered until today. The entire story is a well-written, first-person account of the postpartum mental distress and breakdown of a young married woman — all in single-sentence paragraphs.

Breathtaking. This short story is at once shocking and rich and disturbing and delicious. Such power, such depth, such nuance and layered delight in so few words. Bravo and well done!

Quick and crazy. I read a description saying this was a very early piece of feminist writing. Spot on! I really enjoyed this, and the pages just flew by. Very succinct but colorful writing.

Read alone in the dark.... A friend recommended this short story and it did not disappoint. "The Yellow Wallpaper" is a fascinating and disturbing exploration of the fragile human mind. It is worth reading!

Beautifully written xx. Gilman's style of writing never ceases to amaze me. I love how the feminist message ties with the narrator's regression towards mental instability. Her use of syntax, tone, imagery, everything is so beautifully written..I only wish that this story could have been longer.

More should hear of this woman!. I just stumbled upon this and it's awesome. Just as revellant today as it was when it was written

Great but short. Great concept. Gave it 4 stars because I wish it was longer!

Wow. This book was very out of this world confusing but good book

Can't put me back in the wallpaper…. This short novella has too many unanswered questions. It's a slightly scary book because of the mysteriousness of it. Is the lady speaking to the 'dead paper' sane at first and then slowly spirals into madness; or was she insane from the very start? And is the speaker the woman who is the said wife of 'John'; or the creeping woman in the wallpaper?!? ARGH! it's epicly frustrating however the book does fulfil it's main purpose: An insight to what women in the 18th-19th century had to go through to cure their 'slight hysteria' (post natal depression) due to the arrogance of the men at the time. A must read! (But the full effect of it hits you after a second or third thorough read)

THE BEST. I'm 13 years old and we read this book in my GCSE practice class and I was just amazed! I've now downloaded it on my phone so I can I can read it whenever I what! Highly recommended

The Yellow Wallpaper 📖. I was excited to read this book. This is a very well-written novel, and has a few vocabulary words which are good too. It doesn’t really have a moral or point, so that disappoints me. I don’t really recommend this book.

Wonderful horror. What a thriller of a novel. You descend into madness with her, hating that horrid yellow wallpaper!

Read this in my English class, making this review instead of doing work….. If they do the live action can the pls cast Ryan gosling as John JOHN LOST HIS MEWING STREAK LMAO!! ohhhhh and also this does slay as a book, I just think that it should be longer… but the narrater she is CRAY CRAY but that’s cool. Overall this book is great! I appreciate this literature.

Interesting 🤔. Not my usual choice of reading but I’m glad I tried something different. I like the ending. I felt bad for her sometimes, her husband came off quite dismissive and it made me roll my eyes every time he said… everything he said lol. I did predict that the story would end the way it did. Very “creepy”.😆 I wish I could discuss this short story with someone who has read it, it has a disturbing aftertaste that I can’t quite put my finger on right now.

The Yelow Wallpaper. What a gem of a book! It is so beautifully paced that the role reversal comes as an entirely credible and logical outcome - even while it is incredible. This is a story of such imaginative power that it will stay with me for a very long time. Highly recommended

Amazing read. I read the entirety of this book in about 20 minutes — not even, and I absolutely loved it. The imagery is extremely stimulating. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone with a few extra minutes on their hand.

Real thing. S

Awesome Read. This is a great read for all who like reading beyond (or in depth rather) the text. Everything in this story can be symbolize an abstract thought. If one were asked to summarize this story, one would be able to provide multiple different timelines; all distinct from one another.
