I'm taking my time to actually review this it's so good. DO NOT PASS THIS BOOK UP OMG IT WAS SO SO SO SO SO GOOD THE WHOLE SERRIED NEVER GOT BORING AT ALL. All the books were phenomenal and I am eagerly awaiting the fourth book!!!!😍😍😍

Fantastic start!!. In a huge departure from the beloved characters in the Immortals After a Dark series, Cole manages to create equally endearing characters in her Arcana series as the Tarot tableau comes to life in a post-apocalyptic world where an ageless and lethal game unfolds. Creative and fascinating... I look forward to the sequel which, as a huge Cole fan, will be pre-ordered.

Loved this book!. I couldn’t put it down. I read everything and this tale is rich and fabulous. Better than most books I’ve read in a long time.

AMAZING!!!. I loved this book! From the beginning, I was captivated by Evangeline's story. What is she? Why is she hearing voices? What is the Flash? And I was even more enthralled by the romance brewing between her and Jackson. Ahh, what a hero...even though Evie can't see it at first. The chemistry between them is off the charts!!! Forget about the other love interests pining for them both, Brandon & Selena don't stand a chance against that kind of love! And finally, who are the Arcana, can Evie trust them, and will she ever find out what her true powers are? This story is expertly crafted and leaves you wanting more even after you find out the answers! I can't wait to read the next book in the Poison Princess stories...more please!!!

So worth your time!. I know. You're looking for a glorious, delicious read that can sustain your interest over multiple books, with characters you can fall in love with and a clever take on paranormal young adult fare. Fortunately, you've found it! Kresley Cole also writes wonderful adult fiction with steamy sex scenes; if that's what you're looking for, be aware that the Arcana Chronicles at least starts out with about a PG-13 rating... And if you're looking for a series for your innocent, sheltered daughter, be aware that things heat up for our older teen heroes in book two (mmmm!). But if you're interested in a crackly, fast-moving, deep plot and some highly skillful story-telling then honey, you are home. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up; high recommend.

Get it on! 10 out 10 and I don't say that willy nilly 😜. Let me start by saying I am an avid reader averaging about 5-10 books a week. You name it I have probably read it. This series is can't stop....won't stop good ! I had it on the back burner for months and I finally got around to reading it and although it started of a little slow it was worth the wait. The story and character development are amazing. You will be fully enveloped in Kresley Koles post apocalyptic world not to mention totally invested in the characters. 10 out of 10 on every major point that matters... Story telling, action, intrigue and most of all romance ... Sigh .... It's so good just start reading now and tell your friends you won't be around for a few days because your busy .. Reading .. Because once you get into it you won't be able to stop. Enjoy!!!

This book is SO compelling!. Okay, I haven’t read a young adult series in SO long and this one honestly takes the cake! It was THAT good. I literally devoured it in a couple hours, I could not put it down. (I don’t know why I’m surprised I literally love everything Kresley writes)… I cannot wait for book two! I know what you’re all thinking… is it too early to decide if I’m team Jack or team Death? Right now, I will say I am totally freaking team Jack. I love that Cajun boy and his way with words!! Sigh, he does know how to sweet talk. But I want to shake him sometimes too, so stubborn! And then I have to remind myself that these are teens lol. (I’m sure I’ll have lots of those moments LOL). I’m curious to see how his and Evie’s relationship/friendship will progress in book 2 and I really can’t wait to find out if Gran is alive and when/if she will make it there! I’m also extremely curious why the other Arcana voices are quiet when Evie is with Jack too.. ? There is definitely more than meets the eye with him. Also, I am not team Selena whatsoever, I’m hoping that will change though, we shall see! I do really like Matthew and his quirkiness too, I love how instantly him and Evie bonded. Finn… it’s too soon to tell but, I like his funny moments too, I feel like he could be useful and use his levity to help them through what I’m sure will be intense/stressful times. (Hello apocalypse?) If you love YA (and even if you don’t) the story telling is so good and so complex here, it leaves you wanting more and if you love a post apocalyptic dystopian world than this book/series is for you!

A Must Read!. Probably one of the best books I've currently read. I could not put this book down, I was a zombie for 3 days. I'm not typically into apocalypse books but I was drawn to this one and was so glad I read it. Can't wait for the next book, I'd definitely recommend this book.

In love!. When I first heard Kresley was writing a YA novel I was ecstatic and bought it as soon as it came out. But upon reading the plot summary on the back of the book and looking at the title I was hesitant to read it. It took me about a month before I actually picked it up but as soon as I did I was hooked. The story was uniquely Kresley with fast paced action, quick wit, and romance! Can't wait for the next book!

Great fun!. Cole's detail and character development make this an amazingly fun read. Love the unique landscape she has set for the ever popular 'End of Days' stories. Some of her characters are truly disturbing, yet it doesn't detract from the overall storyline and in fact spurs the reader on to find out who survives and wins!

Very Unique - Great Start. Poison Princess is an amazing story. The entire premise behind the series is incredibly well thought out. The Tarot deck brought to life - so unique and exciting. But we start with Evie - a girl that appears to be your typical rich popular girl from a good family. Everyone likes her and she seems to have the perfect life. But Evie is not what everyone thinks. Visions and dark premonitions haunt her and she can hear voices that seem to be taunting her. Enter Jack. Jack is the boy from the wrong side of the track. He's hard, violent, and has his eyes set on Evie. When the apocalypse happens, he may be the only thing that can save her. But she doesn't trust him and doesn't like him. Not sure if she should be staying and holding her home as a final refuge or striking out with him to find safety. I really liked that the apocalypse doesn't happen right away. We get a chance to get to know everyone a little first. We feel the pain as some of them are lost, and we're excited to hear that a couple survived. But when it finally happens, it's devastating. The world really has come to an end and the game has begun. There's a little bit of everything in Poison Princess. There's a hint at a romance to come, tragedy, zombies, and a ton of excitement. I'm not sure why I waited so long to get started, but I'm glad I'll be able to pick up the next one soon.

Seriously??. I wasn't sure I was even reading a book by Kresly... This was nothing like her style of writing. It was boring & sad & didn't make any sense! Very disappointed. I agree with the other review, no witty characters or steamy sex scenes. The only time it did get good was at the very end. Someone else had to of written this it can't be her work

Amazing!. I have read all her book. This one by far is the best. Her writing and attention to detail is impeccable! Can't wait for the rest of the books.

What the freak Cole?!. If this is the level of awesome that YA books are churning out-I need to exponentially expand my reading list. Poison Princess is a wonderfully original story that leaves the reader with breathless anticipation with lungs full of gasp-y air when the action unravels. Cole does it again! She creates an atmosphere where the reader is an observer and a participant. Bravo!

Very disappointed!. I loved all of kresley cole's book so far. She is my favorite paranormal author. But this book was depressing and boring. It didn't have the witty characters like her other books.

There must be a sequel. I can't get enough of Kresley Cole. When I started this book, I thought I won't like it because it was about teenagers, but I loved it just as much as all her other books ( I've read all of them). With 2 or 3 sequels this book has the potential for Hollywood. It will be s bigger hit than twilight.

Hoping for more. Was really enjoying this book but did not like the ending. Hoping this is the start of a series and has a better ending.

I am so hooked!. Can't wait to read the next book!

Unexpected Edge of Seat Thriller. It’s easy to forget this is a young adult novel. Enthralling characters, wildly relatable, apocalyptic mayhem. Definitely worth your time to read. Team Jack!
