Illuminating. Describes the benefits of birth control in a post-WW1 US where poor families have no access to contraception and it’s illegal to disseminate information about contraception. Comes with a lot of ideology about the feminine spirit which I found too flowery, but also a lot of relevant data.
William P. Saucier. Margaret Sanger's simple and naive theory is that if we allow for birth control and voluntary motherhood, then we will have an end to abortion, child labor, infanticide, war, hunger, etc. I encourage you to read this book and then compare her theory to the reality of what has happened since birth control has become readily available. Sadly, everything she proposes fails completely and utterly.
