Gripping.. This book captured the beauty and feel of small-town, island living. The story was intricate enough to keep me hooked, bot for the murder mystery and the clean love story. The Christian element was occasionally didactic, but generally pretty realistic. All in all, a good read.

Great story with Christian characters. I've already dowloaded the next one.. I love mysteries, especially a series. What a great find to find this Christian series. Well written and fast paced from the very beginning!

Amazing Author and Book!!. I am a huge Dee Henderson fan, so when I read her most recent book and she mentioned Dani Pettrey and this book, I decided to try a "new author". I was immediately hooked and couldn't stop reading!! I was ready to read another so imagine my excitement when I looked into others by Dani and found "Shattered" released for download on iTunes only the day prior! Shattered didn't disappoint either. If you like a good read that takes many twists and turns (good job keeping me guessing!) I HIGHLY recommend Dani Pettrey's "Submerged" and "Shattered". I'm ready for the next book in the series!!!!

Captivating. Both the plot and characters kept me in this book and it is rare for me to not be able to put a book down. Although there were some things about the book that I can’t say I particularly liked, I was still captivated and loved the characters. I cared about them deeply and now I’m thinking about starting the next book…but I should get my own work done before I get snatched up in the second book haha

Submerged. I enjoyed the romance and the mystery equally. Especially loved the values espoused in this book. And the geography of Alaska along with the adventure of diving were a bonus. Looking forward to more books by this author Dana Pettrey.

Should be more honest about all the Jesus. These books should come with a little icon indicating how many times the word "Christ" is in a book. Every ten pages the story gets interrupted to talk about Jesus or getting saved and that was not what I was looking for at all.

Excellent!. Love the entire series! Keeps you on your toes throughout each book. Would recommend to all wanting to read about a family we all wish we could join.

Submerged. I love Dani Pettrey books, but this book was not her usual. I never found that moment where you can’t put it down. As a result, it took me a while to get through it.

Great story.. Great book! Great story and characters, and I loved being transported to the under water world. I did get lost every now and then with the characters, but that may be a 'mumma lack of sleep' thing. Thoroughly recommend it.

A great new suspense author!. I read the second book, Shattered, before this one and I although I still enjoyed it I would recommend starting with Submerged first. There was a lot of history with the characters that I had previously missed out on. This is Dani's first book, I believe, and what a start to her career! She is right up there in my opinion with well known suspense authors such as Irene Hannon and Lynette Eason. And she's extra cool because she's a fellow homeschooling mom. I was immediately sucked into the story and didn't want to come up for air until I was done, but of course I had to a couple of times. I loved that it was set in Alaska, and that the McKenna's owned a dive shop - not something you would expect in Alaska! They use dry suits but even so that water must be awfully cold. I saw today that the next book in the series, Stranded, is coming out this fall and I can't wait to read it. I like it when a series follows different people each book, but the characters are somehow known or related in some way to the ones you've already read about in previous books. Submerged - a great read!. I downloaded this as a freebie and didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised with it. It had all kinds of mystery, suspense, all enveloped in a nice bit of romance. I can't wait to get into the next book in the series!

Excellent!. What a captivating book! I had a hard time putting it down, but that just prolonged the suspense. I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Refreshing new fiction. This was such a refreshing read when looking for exciting fiction with strong characters and Christian values. So much better than the typically sappy cheese that is out there in Christian fiction (and NOT set in Amish times). If you like Dee Henderson's work you will really enjoy this author. Suspense, strong women characters with cool jobs, and of course the romance to tie it all together. I preordered the next book in the series and I've never pre-ordered before.
